Loved the balcony waterfront views, location and secure parking and lift. We didnt like the broken chairs around pool, missing and broken tiles in pool, only one big luggage trolley, housekeeping services not provided and a broken motel phone in room.

Upkeep of the property is highly recommended, we arrived late and unfortunately ended up in a room with one side of the bed that was broken, also the air-conditioning was really loud. We also chose to oay for the extra parkinf at $20 a night, it is a very tight car park and there was not many spots to park, you could potentially mark the bays with a number and allocate them to a car based on size, we chose the second overflow car park the second night, not secure but wider and more accommodating spots. The location from the car park into the accommodation is a bit of a maze. The pool and spa was lovely, unfortunately the pool requires fixing as there are broken tiles at the bottom. The gym was potentially under construction. The cost to saty was not in reason I do not think. On a positive, staff were very accommodating and moved us into another room that had a good sturdy bed and all very polite. I love the Oaks but felt a little ket down with this property. Kind regards 🐞

Positives: The room itself was excellent and the view is amazing. Not so positive: The in room safe did not work (was told it was brand new), the telephone was connected but also did not work, and the kettle in the room was faulty but we managed to get that to working. The shower also needed a really good clean of both mould and soap scum. But the worst thing during our stay, there was only one working lift and on a busy weekend that took a long time to go up or down to and from the lobby. Otherwise location is a crakka and the views are postcard perfect.

Great position to walk around and leave the car behind for a couple drinks. Staff could be friendlier..went down with a reasonable concern to be my et with shrugged shoulders as a response...not great Lots of tiles missing in the pool, could be a very serious cut soon!! Lots of deck chairs broken

Car park ramps are steep, narrow and dark -terrible to navigate in any wagon or SUV. Kitchen hot plate markings worn off so no idea which way is on/off and what temperature. There is only one 5min park out the front when checking in so we had to drive around for 30mins waiting for it to clear and then only one lift working. Supposed to be non-smoking but level one often reeked.

We had lovely 3 night stay ( same time as last year) but few negatives - terrible internet - very disappointing - very hard to watch Foxtel (which they provide!) Oaks need to upgrade so patrons can actually watch a movie !!!! Pool also in need of tile repair ( was in same condition as last year) But we love the location, view fantastic, staff great, friendly & helpful - we hope to get back

The property was over priced. It is old and dated. However this would not have been an issue if it was clean, it was not. Smelly frozen fish smell in the freezer, which I cleaned, dirty carpet, curtains and lounge. There was no chance staff were going to fix the issue. They all need replacing. I cleaned the place myself because no staff available after late afternoon except reception. There was an awful smell under the sink and in the cupboards which I cleaned myself, but could not get rid of. Not worth the money. I checked out 2 days early because I could not stand the smell. Would not recommend. The only plus - reception staff were pleasant to deal with and tried. But the issues were never going to be fixed just by cleaning. The facilities in the hotel are also dated and not clean enough for the amount of money charged and the rating it receives.

We found black hairs on the bed, eyelashes in the bathroom and a overall general uncleansiness throughout the apartment. Stains on the pillows and mould forming on the curtains. It left for an unpleasant stay

The hotel is in need of repair. The pool area has many loose and missing tiles and most chairs were broken. The unit itself was ok, but felt dirty. Marks in the walls, carpet, couch. The tv also wouldn’t turn on after the first day. Telephone wouldn’t call reception either so I had to call using my mobile. The neighbours smoked most of the time we were there which really ruined our ability to enjoy the amazing view. The kitchen was stocked ok, but couldn’t even open a bottle of wine and the fridge was luke warm at best. We didn’t end up cooking either, but having plates and bowls and such was a big help. Really enjoyed having two rooms and the loft was good. The aircon was great too. Laundry in unit was a huge help as we all only had one towel each to use for both showers and pool for the length of our stay. The main bathroom shower head wouldn’t stay up so it made it hard for adults to shower. The car parking was convenient but really tight to get our midsized SUV in and out. Overall we were disappointed with the stay for the money we spent. We won’t return to this hotel.

When I booked I had the option of a studio with no housekeeping which was cheaper I took the second option which was dearer expecting housekeeping would be included however on arrival there was no housekeeping and we were given 2 food vouchers value $10.As we were there for 3 nights this was a poor substitute. I feel this should be made clearer on the website that housekeeping is included.

This hotel is in bad need of a refit. The reception staff are amazing and the only reason I would return. I booked a one bedroom room with ocean view. The room is actually a small studio and not one bedroom. The carpet in places, was worn right through to the floor underneath and it looks like a resin has been melted around the borders of the holes to prevent further fraying. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly and there was black dirty shoe imprints all over the tiles. The room just felt dirty and smelled musty even though it looked like it had been cleaned. There are not many hotel options at The Entrance and not much competition which is possibly why this hotel possibly hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. This hotel is in desperate need of renovation.

Perfect location and view. The rooms are spacious are clean but somewhat dated. The studio room had shower over bath which was very high to step over and into, quite unsafe actually. Very well priced and i would stay again.

Overall we were happy with our stay. The ocean view from our balcony was great and we saw whales breaching off shore both afternoons. The building is a bit run down and showing signs of neglect. Our room was comfortable and good size but the bathroom was pretty tired and old fashioned. The phone did not work in our room so we had to use our mobiles to contact reception. The tap over the tub in the bathroom leaked continuously and the manhole in the same room showed signs of a bad leak from the bathroom above and was quite ugly.

Way overpriced for a studio apartment, the bed was very uncomfortable {hard) & we both developed back issues. The refrigerator was a discrace, broken internal shelves. Car parking was an additional charge per night 💰 We left a day early & forfeited the costs.

Paid for ocean view room but was given an oceanview room with 1/2 metre tall bathtub shower combo that as an 74 year old mobility challenged couldn’t use then the only option given was a mouldy 20 steep stair loft apartment that had rain water pouring onto the carpet and drenching the curtains Went to relax but was totally stressed out will never return not worth price I paid Staff are very good but handicapped by individual owners of rooms

Room included washer and dryer which was handy. Parked at the free council car park opposite the hotel reception. Don’t pay for the hotel parking if you can help it. TV didn’t work initially so someone at the desk fixed it, but once it was turned off it stopped working again - which was quite annoying. Only one person at the front desk all the time we were there.

The ocean view room was great. We saw whales from the balcony. The studio room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool and spa, the wind was blowing a gale, otherwise it would have been the perfect stay. We had lovely 3 night stay ( same time as last year) but few negatives - terrible internet - very disappointing - very hard to watch Foxtel (which they provide!) Oaks need to upgrade so patrons can actually watch a movie !!!! Pool also in need of tile repair ( was in same condition as last year) But we love the location, view fantastic, staff great, friendly & helpful - we hope to get back

We had a great visit. Tasa, in reception, helped make it a great visit, as it was my husbands bday and she gave him a bottle of wine and called us as soon as the room was ready. Always great when you start your time away with a welcoming person in reception.

I arrived late and was met by Tasa on the front desk, she was amazing and an asset to have representing the face of your company. Tasa went above and beyond to assist me and helped me change rooms as I had booked last minute and booked the wrong room. I had a beach view and it was incredible. The dishwasher was not working, and when we informed the receptionist, he was rude and unhelpful. He claimed nothing could be done about it, handed us dishwashing liquid, and instructed us to wash the dishes ourselves.

Very disappointing. Area is unsafe and we were advised not yo walk far at night. Property is old, furnishings worn and stained. No amenities were open. View was excellent but not worth the price. Would not stay again or return to the area.

Nice, modern, clean room. More like a live-in apartment than just a hotel room, with cook-top, kitchen sink, full fridge/freezer and utensils. Bathroom had a washing machine and tumble-dryer. Impressive! Room also had its own reverse-cycle air conditioner, as opposed to ducted system - so my comfort was assured! Smack bang in the Entrance where all the action is - just metres from the bars and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff! Well done! Will definitely stay again!

Nice view from the balcony. Very central location. The pool area and water was cold so we couldn’t enjoy sitting there. Seemed to get very windy as it’s situated on level 2. All of the shops and restaurants underneath were closed on a Monday so I’d suggest staying here another night.

Location was amazing. Right in the heart of the Entrance walking straight out onto the waterfront walkway. Fabulous balcony overlooking the water. Large king bed that was decent. Spacious room. Heating was easily controlled by us. Restaurants, cafes and pubs within quick walking distance…… so much choice.highly recommend the pub/hotel nearly next door. Very quiet hotel. Checkin was a breeze. A secure block with access after hours by swipe card. Bathroom very clean but be aware the shower is a small bath and very high to access esp if you have a disability or are very elderly with mobility problems.that would be my only downfall but I would definitely return to this place. Gorgeous sunrises from our balcony.

Everything about the resort was excellent. Walk to cafes and restaurants, a nice stroll to the beach and baths and most importantly a massive playground for the kids just outside the resort. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed one night in an ocean view room. Wow, what a view!! The room was spacious and could turn into a private bedroom when required due to movable screening. Full laundry if you need. Kitchenette. Didn't get a chance to go to the pool deck. Council car park 10m away, free. The local pub is next door- for was exceptional. Highly recommend the stay.

We were given a waterfront studio which had breathtaking views. The room was large, the bed and pillows very comfortable. A kitchenette was a handy feature as was the washer and dryer. The only thing that let it down was the bathroom which ,while large, was very much in need of a makeover. Climbing in and out of a shower over the bath becomes frought with danger as we approach our 70s.

As always we love the convenience of this hotel. The room & view is great as is the closeness to shopping & restaurants etc, we love that we do not have to use a car when we stay here.
