Spark by Hilton Tuscaloosa University

Clean, safe hotel with a decent breakfast. That was all I needed, so it was perfect.

The staff at Spark by Hilton Tuscaloosa is awesome. I’ve stayed here a bunch of times and never had a bad experience. I’ll be back for sure!

Clean and friendly. Only one elevator and no fitness facility.

The breakfast was amazing, the staff was very nice and friendly. The wifi was great. The shower could have been a cleaned better, but overall, the stay was amazing.

My reservation from hotels.com did not appear on their check-in system, but the front desk person was very patient and very professional. We eventually worked out the details. Although the property was old, my room and the breakfast area were very clean. Breakfast was so-so as their protein options were only southwest omelets, hard boiled eggs, sausage links, and vanilla yogurt. Fruit options were apples, bananas, and oranges. There was a waffle station, but only butter and syrup as topping options. My room was as expected. I knew there was no coffee pot, but there was always coffee in the breakfast area. There was also a water bottle filling station in the hallway that I used quite often. The biggest downside was that my room was on the 1st floor. The noise in the parking lot was quite loud. Another reason I travel with ear plugs.
