The room was well-appointed. Never mind separate vanities, think separate bathrooms. That is what we got, I kid you not; however, the television set in the main bedroom had to be manually turned on and off, and I had to manually change channels. I thought this was quirky and quaint. I did get locked in the elevator for five minutes the morning after we arrived, and the front desk fellow did come open the door, then posted an "Out of Order" sign on the elevator. This was all part of the adventure. I would stay again. The staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Welcome back to 80’s! Hotel is in a poor shape, windows are inoperable, bathroom caulking was redone millions of times, pool and hot tub were closed at the time. We had to replace our access cards multiple times as they would not work on the door. Toilet got plugged after two uses (and no we didn’t dispose of anything inappropriate into it. Good thing - ac worked and the fridge was quiet even though froze our ginger ale. Bed and pillows were as I like it to be.

Our sheets on one bed were dirty. There was multiple pieces of hair on one of our towels. I could feel bed springs under the crappy mattress pad. The room was dirty. It had bugs on the floor and Bathroom towels had hair on it seems like it was already used and Staff did not even bother to clean the room after someone checked out. It was really a bad experience. Homeless people outside the property. We checked out within an hour. Wont recommend anyone to stay here. Do yourself a favour and choose a place which is hygienic and safe

This is an old hotel in need of work. The staff were fine. The room was not good. Dirty, stained carpet. Dirty walls in the bedroom and bathroom. No kleenex, just an empty box. A few pieces of drywall missing above the shower that appear to be starting to mold, as well as the ceiling above the shower. Microwave was missing the plate, which we had replaced by maintenance (he was good) but then it wouldn't spin anyway. The desk phone only worked when the cord was held at a certain angle, so calling the front desk was frustrating. The old windows were incredibly dirty and not airtight. The door didn't do anything to block hallway noise. The security lock on the door was broken off, which was disconcerting when a bunch of drunk young adults were loudly knocking on doors and yelling in the hallway at 3:00 am. Because I couldn't reach the front desk with the room phone I had to go out into the hallway and deal with it myself. All in all it was not a good time, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Bed was hard. AC was ok but smelled like dirty butt. Toilet seat was very loose. Carpet was old and gross. Microwave was dirty. Asked for an accessible room and that did not happen. Broken hanger in the closet on the shelf which shows it has not been cleaned. Very run down and old room. Breakfast was a joke. Coffee machine puked out gross murky coffee with a film on top.

The room was filthy, I’m talking beard trimmings on the hair dryer, dust and dirt on the edge of the bathroom counter, dirt everywhere. The bed should have been retired 15 years ago, the pillows were lumpy. Could clearly hear the conversation people next door were having. Staff weren’t bothered by my feedback about the room being dirty. Will never stay there again

The property smelled when you walked in and it was nothing like the photos. It was so terrible that we checked in and checked out shortly after. We paid another 300 or so to get another hotel for the night because this room was disgusting. The sheets were dirty with stains, bathrooms weren’t cleaned and there was a terrible smell in the room as soon as you walked in. Could not stomach staying there at all.

My stay at this hotel was seriously disappointing — it might be the worst I've ever had. I wasn't expecting anything special, but I did assume everything in my room would be clean and working properly. Sadly that was not the case. The digital card entry into our room was faulty, only one card worked and it took several tries each time to get it to open. The alarm clock was permanently set to the wrong time, as the buttons on it were broken. One of the dresser drawer-fronts was broken and sat to the side, broken into pieces. The air conditioning was on full blast, yet the room was so hot you were sweating while sitting down. There was a stain on the duvet, and crumbs and hairs on the sheets and pillows. The mattresses were awful, the springs could be felt easily on both of them, and on one, there was a large cavity broken into the center. I could go on. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are far, far better hotel options out there for the price. Look elsewhere.

It was exceptionally warm in Edmonton when we visited. The first hotel we went to the A/C wasn't working so we came to this one. I was told the A/C was working fine, and to be fair it was working. The challenge was it was not on at all when we entered the room and it was stifling hot, clearly the A/C that they had in the room was undersized. The room did not finally cool to an acceptable level until about 6-7am the next morning. Needless to say the sleep was terrible at best. At one point both my son and I ripped the blankets off the bed and put them on the floor to sleep on the floor as it was the coolest part of the room and could actually get some sleep, not comfortable, but sleep nonetheless. Would not recommend, certainly not on a hot day.

The first room they give me did not smell good. The second room was better, but the AC and the fridge weren't working. I couldn't sleep. In general, the rooms are older and worse than what appears on their website. I liked the quick check in and out. Bed was comfy.

As soon as we entered the building, all we could smell was smoke. The smell was so strong that it almost felt like people were smoking inside the building. When we got to our room the smell was intensified x10. Due to this, we immediately went to the front desk to check out. The staff member was quite understanding and issued an immediate refund. The kindness of this staff member was the only good thing about this hotel.

The rooms were not clean and the first room had an electrical issue (a socket didn't work, and the fridge didn't work because of it) Maintenance could not resolve so I was given a second room, where the A/C was not functional. The third room was better, everything worked but it was dirty and dusty. The staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate me.

Front desk staff is really nice but overworked. There seems to be only one person on at any given moment, handling all people at the front desk, answering the phones and dealing with guestrooms all at the same time. As for condition, I really can’t say good, but I won’t say terrible either because I do choose to stay there as it’s a bed in a room for less cost than most places. Note that it does not have automatic doors so can be difficult for solo travelers.

Average room. Room smelled a bit like smoke/ animal pee. The bed cover had cigarette burns and also the tub. Was provided shampoo and conditioner but no hand soap. Area around the hotel had lots of dining options and seemed to be a quiet area. Lots of parking. Cleaning staff in the morning were quite loud talking to each other in the hallway.

It's a fairly cheap budget hotel. If you just need a place to sleep for the night, it's fine, just don't expect too much. The staff were nice, there's plenty of places nearby to grab food, but it's certainly not the nicest area for late night walks. The hotel itself is dated and dingy, thin towels, old mattresses and pillows. Would definitely not choose this hotel again.

The front desk clerks were very nice. Our room was dated and they can use some new flooring but the whole hotel was very clean, all the staff we met were very polite. The breakfast was ok, it kept us going till lunch. It was close to Whyte ave, great location for our stay...

Wasnt happy with my stay, didnt like this place. Wont be returning. Breakfast was terrible, you wouldnt want to eat anything there plus there coffee machine is out of order so no morning coffee or water!

One standout was the shower - great water pressure and temperature, probably one of the best I’ve had at a hotel in this price range. The location is excellent… easy access to pretty much anywhere in Edmonton and lots of food options close by. Front desk staff were pleasant, and it was nice to see them regularly checking in on the breakfast area. That said, the property does show its age. Burn marks on curtains, stains on towels and carpets, some burnt-out bulbs, and a general smell throughout the halls and room that’s hard to ignore. The noise is also a factor, you’ll hear everything from the hallway and even street sounds. Not ideal if you’re a light sleeper. Staff was amazing! Kind and efficient during check in, helpful when the vending machines broke. Room was meh. Bed almost had a hole straight through to the box spring it was so worn out, very uncomfortable. Overall run down. Paint chipping, walls cracking, cracked bathroom tiles, baseboards coming off.. needs some love for sure.

My room had a bathroom sink faucet that did not work properly, the air conditioner unit was not very good it did not cool the room off. The other guests were very noisy especially late into the night.

Our room, unfortunately had a cigarette smoke smell in it if the room had stale air. Once the air circulated, it disappeared for the most part. There were 2 dried out contact lenses on the bathroom floor and the floors in the bathroom and the bedroom felt a little grimy walking around on them. The bathroom sink had some cigarette burns on the edges near the caulking. I didn't use the WiFi as it was totally open with no password. The gym was very basic, but I did use it a couple of times. Bed and pillows were great and comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but we did have breakfast every day. Probably could have asked to move rooms as we stayed for 4 nights but we were already settled in.
