Nice place good stay walls are kinda thin and look as if they have some water damage everything worked mini fridge heater and tv lots more than just cable on the tv staff amazing (parking is hard to find)

The entrance/hallways are not indicative of the rooms themselves (old and rundown) but the room itself was clean and updated it was an old rooming house I believe . Great air conditioning and decent space. Asked for and received a mini fridge and kettle. No room service or cleaning between nights unless you pay extra. Overall the location was perfect. Walking distance to many restaurants and the metro. Would stay again as price and location (and cleanliness) was sufficient.

Needs to be renovated...

The hotel was not adapted for parking, the front parking was not easy to understand when we could park and how long we could park. Thankfully there was a underground parking near it that you can pay for overnight (it was 25$ tho...) The room was cheap tho and did have everything for a night. We simply needed a place to sleep after the Piknik at parc jean drapeu and for that they did great.

It is a very old heritage building that needs work, but the owners are improving it, it is under construction. The elevator has loud sounds and bumps when operating. If you want a clean place to stay for low cost, it is fine.

The hotel is located in a historic building, however it is in need of a lot of repairs and maintenance. Our room was small, and it had an IKEA double bed, which came apart three times due to loose wood. The artifacts and furniture in the room were dated, not very clean and many amenities were missing like extra towels, pillows, kleenex, blow drier, conditioner, cups, and an extra blanket. The bathroom had broken tiles, and no shelving space to place personal items. The staff were nice but the owners need to invest in making a nicer hotel given its potential.

The property is clean but things take awhile to heat up and it is a bit too old fashion for me otherwise good if you spending a night, needs updating! parking is not too bad at later hours at night, u can find it on the street. Reception was good!

No heat other than a space heater in the room. Lobby was a mess. It was being painted, which could be understandable but there was no signage, warning or any measure at all. Worth spending a little more to find a better spot if you can.

Just not really clean and didn't feel comfortable taking a shower...

The location was fine. The overall cleanliness of the hotel and my room was poor.

I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone- it’s not worth your health and safety. I had read the mixed reviews but once you see it in person, it’s unbelievable. I tried to cancel it and get my money back but hotel.com said they couldn’t and that I had to deal with the management. We were moved to another room but then I found a bedbug- that was it for me. I was refunded most of my money and this was because I demanded it and the manager on duty at the time confirmed it with hotel.com- I appreciated his honesty.

이렇게 까지 지저분한 숙소는 처음입니다. 샤워커튼이 밑에 부분이 갈색으로 물곰팡이가 엉겨붙어서 딱딱하게 굳어있어서 펼쳐지지가 않았습니다. 침대 시트에는 모래가 있어서 털고 겨우 잘수있었습니다. 그리고 호텔에서 안내해준 길가에 주차를했는데 차량안에 있던 물품을 도둑 맞았습니다. 주말이라 300불정도에 예약했는데 너무 처참한 경험을하여 다시는 이곳에 오고 싶지않습니다.

This appears to be a family business. The attendant is pleasant and informative. The common areas are dated, but the bedroom and bathroom were somewhat updated as pictured online. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked okay. There are tall ceilings and high windows similar to some hotels and residences in Paris. This hotel has a small elevator but I would not call it accessible because the bathroom door is very narrow. We remarked that it's fortunate we are petite or average sized. This hotel represented a tremendous value for its location within Montreal for the price. However, I cannot overlook the condition of the shower stall, at any price point. The grout and bottom of curtain were filthy with pink slime. Pink slime is not usually harmful, but it is gross to look at and fortunately treatable: "Use a bathroom cleaner, a mixture of baking soda and dish soap, or a bleach solution to scrub away the pink slime." I think if the owners could attend to this, the establishment can be an excellent value and provide a comfortable stay to those without physical accessibility needs.

The property was not properly maintained. It was not cleaned properly, it seemed that the bed sheets were not changed after the previous occupant left. The carpet had a foul odor and there was a mouse in our room. I would not recommend. I did like that the host were very welcoming and helpful.

I will choose a different hotel next time. This one had dirty bathrooms, towels and the hallway smelled as freshly smoked Marijuana all the time.

The a/c wasn’t strong enough. But the room was tidy and clean. The rooms don’t get replenished/cleaned daily.

Don't reserve in summer thinking air conditioning will help. This place sucks for AC. No air circulating, impossible to sleep at night.

Nice location, close to downtown and public transport, but not many restaurants around. Room doesn’t have a kettle nor coffee machine, no fridge, no safe. OK for one night stay.

Excellent location. Bedroom was warm, and so was the shower water. The bedroom had cable tv. The staff was impeccable. The downside is the internet is a bit slow. Also a more thorough cleaning would be better.

When I entered the lobby there were some trash bags with what I assumed was sheets in the corner which caught me off guard but check in was very quick and the staff was very kind and informative! The elevator up to the room is also obviously old but is clean and functions well. The room that I booked was a 1 bedroom for me and a friend of mine. It was very clean and the bed had 0 stains, hair, or anything of concern and was pretty comfy! The bathroom was shockingly clean! I am very easily freaked out by hotel bathroom. So much so that even bathrooms at Best Westers or other higher quality hotels have grossed me out. This bathroom though was thoroughly cleaned and had nothing gross about it to me which is HUGE! The room and bathroom are very small in size and the doors are quite sticky but overall the experience was great! An easy 4/5 stars! (My friend had seen some horrible reviews of the place from 5-3 months before our stay and we were worried about the experience but we were pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel really stepped up their cleaning!!)

The property is in a mixed commercial and residential area, very near the Latin Quarter and a couple of metro stations. It was very clean and comfortable when we visited. I liked the ability to open the screen on the door that led to what I believe was a fire escape. I also opened the door, but then noticed the smaller screen so used that to avoid bugs. It also had a window a/c unit which we didn’t need during our stay. We paid quite a bit more for our room because it was the weekend of the Formula One Grand Prix race, but that's to be expected. The property was safe and offered what we needed. It had a nice sized refrigerator in the room, and I noticed a microwave near the front entrance of the hotel when we were leaving that would come in handy. The walls are somewhat thin so you can hear tones of conversations, but it wasn't obtrusive. We also heard creaking floors at times. We had great service from the front office!

While the hotel lacked curb appeal, the rooms were adequate for an affordable city-break. The staff member who initially greeted us did appear confrontational at first, but warmed up when he realised we had made an advanced booking. The member of staff who served us the next day was very nice and allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel after check out, so we weren't carrying them around the city. The hotel is in a good area for exploring Montreal

There is NOTHING to like about this hotel. Staff inconsiderate and less than human. We along with a large Spanish family with small children and babies were forced to wait outside in frigid temperatures before this 'person' would allow us to enter the hotel at the time of his choosing. Then the room was dirty and cold with a portable heater that did not work. I have stayed in 3rd world places that were far superior in cleanliness and amenities.... at least they had soap and toilet paper....NEVER enter this place again.... should be pulled from the Expedia site.... this hotel tarnishes your reputation...... AMEN!

No me dejaron entrar al hotel ya que llegue al aeropuerto despues de las 11 pm tuve que dormir en el aeropuerto y no me devolvieron mi dinero SON UNOS ESTAFADORES

I needed an affordable room for a short trip in Montreal, somewhere to shower and sleep well. It's exactly what I got, along with courteous interactions with the staff. It's obviously not a luxury hotel but that's not what I wanted/needed. The owner also helped me the next day when I lost my phone charger there. Thank

The outside was run down and overgrown with shrubs. Garbage out front. Howl sign was partially working. Entry was not welcoming. Smelled like family cooking dinner. Room was fine, beds were basic, not enough blankets. Bathroom was very small and shower needed cleaning. Only 2 towels for 4 people. Overpriced for amenities for sure! Could have stayed in a chain for the same price and had more amenities and space. Location was good, neighborhood was nice and close to places we wanted to see.

The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants. However, it was a bit more run-down than I had expected.

Interesting old building. Excellent location. Bldg is old and a bit rough but the room was fairly clean. If you're looking for a great walkable location to sleep this is the place. Very basic amenities. I really enjoyed it here. Bring your own pillow, theirs are uncomfortable and also the bed is uncomfortable if you're older. If you're young then it's fine. Would absolutely stay here again

Getting into the hotel, I felt like I was deceived by Expedia listing this as a hotel. It's just like a mere bread and breakfast (even though no breakfast was provided) type of accommodation. The condition of the room was terrible, and the elevator was very scary - each stop felt like a sudden drop from a height. A terrible smell was coming from the washroom when we arrived in the room. A lot was wrong with this place.
