Las instalaciones estan muy limpias solo falta mantenimiento en el cuarto, puertas de baño y lavabo viejas, la alberca y jacuzi muy frio y lama en la alberca

I have stayed here several times. It is a very reasonably priced hotel reminiscent of old authentic Mexican accomodations. Friendly guests and nice but cold pool in February.

The property is beautiful. There is a turtle and fish pool with a little bridge you can walk across. The main pool is huge . There is a children’s pool and a jacuzzi for adults only. The landscaping and the surroundings are amazing. The river is something to see with its wood bridge you can walk across. It is a short walk to the main road where you can get the public bus going to downtown Puerto Vallarta. The trip is about 30 minutes passing the beaches. It is a lovely trip. The rooms are clean the cleaning woman comes every day. Everyone is friendly. I have two schnauzers and we paid a one time fee. We were coming for a week, this is our fourth week and we are thinking of another week or two. We love it

I’ve lived here in Mismaloya 7 years now. I just stayed at C.I. and had no idea how large and tropical the property is. Loved it! Great pool, hot tub, landscaping. Breakfast!

This is an older hotel, rooms are tiny. Pool has seen better days. No elevator in the premises and the parking is on the street, it can be hard to park on weekends. The garden is beautiful, and it is a breeze to walk to the beach. And it has a pharmacy right outside as well as an small convenience store.

Hotel is very nice for the price. Good location with the beach walkable in about 5 minutes. Oxxo and pharmacy right next door. Restaurant on site has decent food at reasonable prices. We were fortunate to have the “honeymoon suite” which was well equipped and updated. Lots of hot water. Good housekeeping. Pool a little chilly as it is not heated which is typical outside of the big resorts.

Large, clean rooms with a kitchen. Beautiful garden and pool area although the pool itself was extremely COLD. Even the "hot" tub was colder than the average pool.

It was clean , quiet and quaint. Some reviews say the rooms are dank and musty ; our room was not ; very clean and fresh smelling. The young fellow at the front desk was very nice and helpful. There was bed bugs in the room. They moved us to a different room but we couldn’t sleep comfortably after that. And the rooms were dirty

I liked that the room was clean and attended to nicely, but the condition of the building was of concern. The pool looked a bit moldy and the pond at the entrance wreaked horribly.

This was our second stay. We absolutely love this place. The staff is very nice and it is kept extremely clean. Most of our interactions were with Martha who we think is fantastic. We are looking forward to coming back soon.

En general el hotel es bueno, el personal es muy amable y todo está muy limpio, pero le hace falta un poco de mantenimiento

The hotel is not what you see in the pictures. The smell of mold reeks throughout the hotel. The room we were assigned was in bad shape. The furniture had terminate damage and rooms reeked of moldy smell. I ended requesting a refund but only able to receive half of what I paid.

Have stayed here in previous years and it was always very clean very well maintained , sadly I was here before pandemic and it has definitely changed with some negative changes. Stuff amazingly sweet and helpful. The location to the predator movie set is about 35 minutes walk uphill -very dusty road - great for perfect day trip only if your young & like hiking -wear a mask over your face , We enjoyed a hour on the set good restaurants and swimming -food can be very very pricey as it is a total tourist attraction but definitely worth seeing — I was happy we were local so that we could go on a tour to enjoy the set. it’s Mexico 🇲🇽♥️🇲🇽 Hotel negative we had to put towels on the front door and the back door to seal so that the water bugs wouldn’t come in and that worked perfect to keep them from coming in — We were on a ground flour, sadly the The fish and turtle ponds are not being up kept🙁

La peor de experiencia en vacaciones! Todos los huéspedes estaban con picaduras de chinches. Terrible y obvio a nosotros nos fue también muy mal. Todo el hotel está infestado de chinches! Nos tuvimos que salir de inmediato al día siguiente y hasta el día de hoy no nos han regresado el dinero que pagamos.

The room was substandard…no knobs on cupboards. No towels when I checked in, the counter and range hood were dirty. Sadly, I’d have to say the room was bad.

By far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in for the price. If you are expecting a 5 star resort you will not be happy - If you are expecting a 50 dollar a night hotel you will be blown away. THE ROOMS - were very spacious - like more room than you get in most 5 star resorts. Beds were comfortable - everything very clean, excellent water pressure THE POOL - very clean, lots of room kids love it. It is not heated so it is cold at first but you get used to it pretty quickly. The jacuzzi pool is not a hot tub - just a jacuzzi. Around the pool plenty of loungers and tables. You can literally go right next door to the Oxxo, pick up some drinks and snacks and hang out by the pool drinking and snacking for next to nothing. THE RESTAURANT- honestly very good food for decent prices. The breakfast was so so - buffet style but the food off the menu for lunch and dinner was very good. The drinks were delicious but a bit pricey considering you can go to the Oxxo next door and get beer for 1/4 the price. Staff was amazing there. Ceviche was delicious, burgers were great, everything was good. THE LOCATION - amazing - 5 minute walk to the beach, close to shops, close to restaurants, close to bars, honestly an amazing location. Bus stop about 30 seconds away - Oxxo basically connected to it, pharmacy 10 seconds away, taco stand 10 seconds away … I’m not exaggerating - 10 second walk like 15 steps and you are there. Also very safe - no concerns at all. Uber easy to PV

Very good stay overall. My only observations are that there was no Wi-Fi available in the room — it would be great to have an option to purchase it or to book rooms that include Wi-Fi. Additionally, the TV in my room wasn’t working, and I was hoping to watch a soccer game (Mexico). Everything else was excellent

Very poor internet connectivity. The beds were uncomfortable. Nice air conditioning; kept the space comfortable.

The property was clean and the outside was well kept. The bathroom cupboards were literally falling apart and the kitchen had no oven or microwave. The tv had only 3 English-speaking channels, all news

It is a peaceful little corner of paradise that has its own pool but is less than a 10 minute walk to the sweet little beach. The kitchenette lends itself to a walk up into town for local groceries and some homemade meals. There is a restaurant on site with several more excellent ones in town. During the day there are several locations on the beach that serve drinks and food. This hotel is old Mexican in style and is starting to show its age. The beds are comfortable with wooden frames, the couch is a foamy on a wooden frame, table and chairs are heavy wood. If you have an issue with mold do not stay on the lowest floor as it backs into the hillside and holds more moisture than up on the higher floors. By the way, there is no elevator. All in all a lovely, quiet place to spend a few days or, if you are like me, a few weeks.

The cleaning lady is fantastic. She changes the bed linens, sweeps and mops the floors. She changes out the towels every day and provides bottled water and coffee daily. Soap, shampoo and body lotion provided. There are two bedrooms, living area and dining and kitchen. Air conditioning and smart tv in the units. I’m loving it. Our two week vacation has turned into six weeks. The pool is magnificent.

It's quiet and conveniently located a short walk to the beach. My room had a kitchen, but no refrigerator , dish washer or coat hangers.

The staff were wonderful. The hotel is clean but needs improvements aesthetically. Outdated. Could be more accommodating with proper kitchen cooking ware. Very convenient for hopping on the bus to PV and Boca. Important BUG SPRAY in this area.

DESAFORTUNDAMENTE EL HOTEL NO HABIA LUZ EN LA MITAD DE LAS HABITACIONES. CUANDO SOLICITE UNA REHUBICACION POR QUE NI AGUA HABIA. ME FUE NEGADA LA PETICION. HACIA DEMACIDADO CALOR Y NI EL AIRE ACONDICIONADO SERVIA. LO MAS MALO FUE LA ACTITUD DEL PERSONAL.

Spent 1 night in 304.the toilet was loose at the base (not cemented to floor)which caused me to hit the vanity. front desk called maintenance.We were offered to move to room 307 tucked away in the corner with no view or we could wait 2 h as they cement the base of the toilet. We decided to wait and use the bathrooms at the pool. 2 h later we went to our room , maintenance was finishing up, there was a flood of water from the bathroom to the door, we were assured that this would be cleaned up by housekeeping shortly. changed and left for the evening. came back hours later went to use the bathroom, toilet would not flush. The front desk was contacted by by my bf who speaks spanish, we were told they would call maintenance this was 10 pm had the room for 7 h with no toilet. The front desk called us back and I answered , I do not speak Spanish and the front desk lady rudely hung up on me because I do not speak Spanish, happened twice. Went to the front desk to see why she hung up on me and she would , only address my bf. I heard her speaking English upon check in. This is not an appropriate way to treat guests who have been more than patient. Maintenance arrived and as we opened up the door the entire door knob fell off and there was an empty hole where the door knob should be. He fixed the flush on the toilet and then proceeded to fix the door handle. Not a great experience and no compensation for all the inconveniences

Casa Iguana was an excellent option in Mismaloya. Quiet, relaxed, reasonable priced. Breakfast was also a good option. Staff was very helpful but let you do things your own way. We visited beaches and places around Vallarta and Mismaloya and relaxed in the late afternoons at the hotel. For us was the perfect combination.

ALL EXCELLENT EXCEPT THE WI-FI WHICH WAS BARELY EXISTANT AND ALSO THE RECEPTION PHONE DIDN'T WORK HALF THE TIME SO HAD TO GO DOWN 4 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS WHEN I HAD A QUESTION TO ASK THE RECEPTION. THEY SHOULD FIX THE WI-FI AND THEIR PHONE IN THE RECEPTION! BUT THE STAFF WAS THE MOST KIND AND VERY HELPFUL!

I really enjoyed the setting for the hotel. The lush jungle/mountain area is so relaxing and inviting. The hotel itself was enjoyable, Room was always clean and well maintained during my week stay there. Convenient bus service into PVR and really enjoyed walking across the bridge in front of the hotel and following the river for a bit. Who knew a OXXO would be there...HAhaha The hotel needs to feature itself better, Did not realize until half way through my stay that it had a functioning restaurant. Always walked down to the beach for dinner or in the morning took a bus and had breakfast at the Pancake house.

Every year we stay at Casa Iguana for a month we love it there its such a beautiful place that staff and house cleaners are so nice and accommodating the hotel restaurant is really great too. It’s quiet and relaxing Canela the hotel dog is so sweet. We will miss her. See you next year.

It is nice if you want to be away from the city but not public transportation friendly

Nice little boutique hotel just on the other side of the main road. Once you cross you can walk 5 mins to beach area with lots of bars and restaurants. Nice size, clean and cmfortable rooms. The area around the hotel. is a very old little rundown town. OXXO, (convenance store) right attached to Hotel. Positive is just up the street area about 4 Tequila making plants that welcome you for tastings.

Great place to stay! Rooms were very clean, grounds were beautiful and pool was great! Location very convenient to local restaurants, beach, public transportation and taxi. Would for sure return.

I really enjoyed the location where we were at and it was just walking distance right to the beach. The best thing at night with the lights lit up. Being in the jungle was just absolutely beautiful. And if you get an opportunity to go to the zoo and pet, the cubs was absolutely a great experience.

We love Casa Iguana, location is prime, several food spots available close by and an Oxxo next door. Beach is about 5-10 walk away!

El ambiente del hotel es tranquilo por lo tanto es ideal para descansar. Se encuentra entre la selva lo cual lo vuelve atractivo. No está cercas del centro de Puerto Vallarta pero si caminas del hotel a la carretera se puede tomar el transporte que te lleva al centro o bien si rentas carro no hay problema con el traslado, inclusive se disfruta el camino por carretera ya que está muy bonito, lleno de naturaleza.

Nestled in the mountain side and close to the beach all at the same time. Bus stop and taxi stand very close by, and as per Mexican norm it’s attached to an OXXO

We really enjoyed our stay at CI. It’s a great little property and we were treated well. It was only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk to the taxis and the colectivo stop. If you stay at CI make sure to wander further into town (away from the beach) as you will find some great little local resturants.

Es un hotel de descanso. El ambiente es relajado y casi silencioso. Por temporada baja nos tocó un menú limitado en el desayuno, sin embargo la comida a la carta es deliciosa, buen precio, un poco tardado, de muy buenas porciones. Las habitaciones huelen a humedad, esto debido al estilo rústico del hotel en general. Algunos detalles de mantenimiento en ventanas, manijas de puertas, bisagras ruidosas. El personal muy amable. La playa está a 10 minutos caminando, aproximadamente unos 400 metros. Hay un Oxxo en la entrada del hotel que facilita mucho la estancia. Alberca de agua fría, que se tibia un poco al caer la tarde. Tienen un grave problema con los mosquitos debido a la ubicación, poblada de vegetación, lleven demasiado repelente. El Uber del aeropuerto a Casa Iguana cobro 300 pesos, es un trayecto aproximado de 50 minutos.

This was our 4th stay at Casa Iguana and we will return. Our room was very clean. You get 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and living area. There's no TV in the bedrooms; however, there were many channels to choose from and our reception was excellent. There are some minor cosmetic issues that could be attended to. And garbage around the property outside our room could be picked up. There were some people partying so there were a lot of cups, cans, and noise. BUT... the price is so reasonable and breakfast was very good. The air conditioner worked very well in our room. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel, this is not it. But if you're looking for a nice place, it's great. We were on the 4th floor and there are no elevators so be prepared for steps! We love the location as the ocean is about a 5-minute walk. The zoo is about 5 minutes the other way. The bus stop is very close and you can ride to Puerto Vallarta for $1 (for 2). Excellent restaurants such as El Jacalito and Tony's. The Patio del Cuale was excellent one night and good the other. We saw so many whales on this trip it was magical.

I would definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Restaurant food good and very affordable.

We loved the location of this property, away from all the tourists and walking distance to the beach. The staff was very friendly. Our kids loved the pool and they have great food at the restaurant. The facilities are a little run down and they had strict limits on towels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a fancy resort.

Gorgeous pool and fabulous breakfast.

Small and reasonably priced, food is excellent.

A perfectly fine mid-cost hotel within easy walking distance to the Mismaloya beach, which I dove from (PV Ocean Tours, highly recommended, and the village. My only disappointment was that I paid for breakfasts that were supposed to begin at 0800, but often didn't, which meant I dove hungry.

Very friendly check in. Pools are nice. There is a delicious breakfast on site that is very reasonably priced!
