Staff was very welcoming and hospitable, all the amenities seemed very up to date, and the restaurant food was very good! The pool was closed for a couple days and they issued food credit per person, they also have happy hour 2 for 1 drinks twice a day. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Barbados!

The property was right next to the sea but did not have access to a beach. However, it does have a beautiful swimming pool and sun deck.Nice beaches are within a 10 minute walk from the hotel My room had its own well appointed kitchen area so self catering is an option. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Great central location on the Gap in walking distance to bars, restaurants etc. Free parking on the compound but there were not enough spots for the guests on the weekend. The room is large with a nice kitchenette and great views of the pool deck and the Atlantic. I had a late check in at midnight and the hotel was very accommodating to organize a taxi for me. But my linens in my room were so stained and dingy. The pillow cases were torn and had black stains. They did not replace the next day, but all the linens seem old and dingy. Two new bars opened next door and were loud enough to hear everything from the room late at night. Saturday night was the loudest. There’s also construction next door that starts at 6am. Staff were great, except once receptionist that seemed upset that I was asking about my Expedia VIP entitlements and upgrades. They were never offered to me until I asked.

Had a fantastic stay. Stunning hotel, beautiful room with incredible ocean view. All staff were amazing. Stayed knowing that pool deck and restaurant were closed for complete renovation following hurricane Beryl so obviously didn’t experience what will be an incredible space (we were fairly compensated for this). Great progress was being made during our stay. Again, the staff were extremely helpful in view of alternative arrangements. Returned home yesterday and already looking to rebook. Thank you South Gap Hotel 😊

Very nice hotel and workers . They attend to all needs . Only downside of the hotel was the floor . It was very dirty and if you stepped in it your feet would get very dirty in your own room . Other than that the hotel was fantastic and a very beautiful view !

Beautiful well-run well-maintained boutique hotel in the St. Lawrence Gap. Smooth check-in and wonderful 2-week stay. Excellent housekeeping services and a good restaurant for breakfast. A special shout-out to the fantastic friendly always fun & professional ladies at the front desk.

The property as a whole was pretty good. Location was great food was great. As far as cleanliness the lamp shades were really dirty and dusty. The bathroom was really tiny but it was new.

The property was generally nice and clean, however there was a moldy smell in the room that was only alleviated by leaving the balcony door open. The moisture from the shower also caused the ceiling paint over the shower stall to fall..

Great place to stay, I would definitely recommend and stay here again. The rooms were small but updated and clean. Everyday we had issues with our toliet, but they did send someone to quickly, to fix it. The front desk was not very friendly. The friendliest one was the young lady who checked us in, but everyone else barely spoke or acknowledged us as we were coming in or leaving. The views from the room overlooking the ocean are gorgeous. Overall, it's a nice hotel in a walkable area filled with bars and restaurants. Another plus is Dover Beach is just a short walk from the hotel.

Stay on the side facing the water. The side facing the street is super loud because there is kareoke until 3am nearly every night. Staff are friendly, but service at the restaurant is glacially slow. Food is ok, but overpriced as you would expect. No beach access from the hotel, but good views of the water and the pool is nice. Air conditioning in the room was a godsend because it the island is very humid. Not the greatest location if you needed cabs because cabs are so pricey. But if you are driving it is great.

This was a great place to stay in. Super clean, staff was amazing, location was amazing, view was beautiful. The only thing I would change is the bathroom shower door. The half-doors just don’t make sense to me. Water literally gets everywhere. The floor was always soaked, even though we had a floor towel down. This wouldn’t change my mind, however. I’d still stay here again.

Great location in the St Lawrence Gap. Hôtel is in great condition, we loved the view. Beach is just 5-10 min walk. Just a small complain on a weird smell from the bathroom piping, it might have been a room issue. Happy with the stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the South Gap Hotel. The room was modern, spacious, with a fully stocked kitchenette (microwave and full fridge, no stove), a big comfortable bed, great bathroom, and powerful air conditioner. The views from our room were beautiful! If they can accommodate, ask for a ground floor room, it's a walkout to the pool patio and that was great. The best part of our stay was the staff. They truly made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. I have to thank Nicholas, one of the bartender/restaurant staff, for giving us exceptional customer service and going out of his way to make sure we were always confortable and fed! He even recommended excursions that really made our trip memorable. The front desk staff was also lovey. The only issue I experienced was that the hotel was noticeably understaffed. The housekeeping staff took quite a while to get to our room, with staff missing our room entirely one of the days we requested cleaning. We could see the 1-2 housekeeping staff were doing their best so this did not make or break our experience.

The location is great but service is slow. Rooms are clean but walls are thin…. So you can hear people/family next door. It would have been nice to accommodate late check out. Shouldn’t allow guests to save lounge chairs as the property is small and other guests would like to use loungers. Stricter policy is needed on sun loungers.

Séjour agréable pour bien manger et boire sur St. Lawrence Gap. Possibilité de se garer à l'hotel. Bien desservie par les véhicules de transport en commun qui longe la rue. Chaque matin, au petit déjeuné, nous regardions les tortues venir respirer de temps à autre. Pebbles Beach pour nager avec les tortues. Drill Hall Beach était très belle aussi. On peu aussi aller se tremper les pied 200m avant l'hotel. La piscine est très agréable. Oistins est pas très loin.

This was my first time visiting Barbados, and this hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Shakeeta and Sharieka were especially kind and patient they went above and beyond to help me book excursions and dinner reservations, which took a lot of the stress off and allowed me to truly enjoy my birthday. Exceptional staff like them are the reason people come back. Honestly, they deserve a raise! Jeremy (I believe that was his name) at the bar he had braids was also super friendly and added to the relaxed vibe. The pool area was the best part & gorgeous, with stunning views of the ocean. I also loved all the amenities in the room. Housekeeping did an amazing job. I'm very particular about cleanliness, and the room was spotless, smelled fresh, and the AC was perfectly cold. I gave 4 stars for condition because the only downside was the cable channels and Wi-Fi, which were a bit spotty & cut completely out during my stay. But overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable, chic hotel experience in Barbados. I’ll definitely be back & tell my family and friends to stay here!
This was my first time visiting Barbados, and this hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Shakeeta and Sharieka were especially kind and patient they went above and beyond to help me book excursions and dinner reservations, which took a lot of the stress off and allowed me to truly enjoy my birthday. Exceptional staff like them are the reason people come back. Honestly, they deserve a raise! Jeremy (I believe that was his name) at the bar he had braids was also super friendly and added to the relaxed vibe. The pool area was the best part & gorgeous, with stunning views of the ocean. I also loved all the amenities in the room. Housekeeping did an amazing job. I'm very particular about cleanliness, and the room was spotless, smelled fresh, and the AC was perfectly cold. I gave 4 stars for condition because the only downside was the cable channels and Wi-Fi, which were a bit spotty & cut completely out during my stay. But overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable, chic hotel experience in Barbados. I’ll definitely be back & tell my family and friends to stay here!

Great place to stay, I would definitely recommend and stay here again. The rooms were small but updated and clean. Everyday we had issues with our toliet, but they did send someone to quickly, to fix it. The front desk was not very friendly. The friendliest one was the young lady who checked us in, but everyone else barely spoke or acknowledged us as we were coming in or leaving. The views from the room overlooking the ocean are gorgeous. Overall, it's a nice hotel in a walkable area filled with bars and restaurants. Another plus is Dover Beach is just a short walk from the hotel.

Great place to stay. The pictures don't really do it justice. We were in the 1 bed studio. Staff very friendly and in a great location. Only thing to fix is the coordination between the restaurant and front desk when they chase for card payment even though they have your card on file.

WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME!!! We on a girls trip to Barbados. The staff was amazing and accommodating to us. Special shout out to: Housekeeping staff for the second floor , thanks for cleaning our room. Harry for driving us to our destinations and getting us back safe. Shareka, Tia, and Shakeeta thanks for providing us information on places to go and assisting us everyday. I had a very pleasant stay at South Gap Hotel and would highly recommend it. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered a stunning ocean view. The pool and pool deck had a really cool vibe—perfect for relaxing. The only downside was the slow service at the restaurant. However, that was easily overlooked thanks to Tia at the front desk. Her customer service was exceptional—she was friendly, helpful, and an absolute joy to talk to. She truly made the experience memorable. Overall, it was a great stay, and I can definitely see myself coming back.

The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly! I am platinum member and my package included early check-in. This was not honored and I had to wait until 3pm. The food was average and not many chicken selections and no kids meals. The room was wonderful and the view was fantastic. The restaurant doesn’t open until 7:30am but really 7:45am which is not ideal for early birds. Walk to Dover Beach is about 7-10 minutes depending on your pace. I would stay here again.

Beautiful small boutique hotel. Lovely and clean. Food and service great. Excellent location for all the local bars and restaurants, albeit a bit noisy into the early hours from one particularly bar opposite. Would definitely consider returning just might take my ear plugs next time.

Great location in the St Lawrence Gap. Hôtel is in great condition, we loved the view. Beach is just 5-10 min walk. Just a small complain on a weird smell from the bathroom piping, it might have been a room issue. Happy with the stay.

Séjour agréable pour bien manger et boire sur St. Lawrence Gap. Possibilité de se garer à l'hotel. Bien desservie par les véhicules de transport en commun qui longe la rue. Chaque matin, au petit déjeuné, nous regardions les tortues venir respirer de temps à autre. Pebbles Beach pour nager avec les tortues. Drill Hall Beach était très belle aussi. On peu aussi aller se tremper les pied 200m avant l'hotel. La piscine est très agréable. Oistins est pas très loin.

The staff mostly was very nice. Had what you needed in kitchen area. Coffee maker etc. Great shower. It has a smaller than expected pool. There is no beach nearby. You would need to take taxi.The area is very noisy late at night from loud music If you purchase the breakfast plan you get a different menu from the regular menu. Anything else such as sides etc. you are charged extra for. The breakfasts we had were very good but limited. We took a bus to Speightstown. Don’t recommend . The buses were very overcrowded. People standing everywhere no where to sit. Very uncomfortable long ride. Barbados has beautiful beaches and the food at all the restaurants were good and in walking distance from hotel. Recommend Primo.

South Gap Hotel is exactly what we needed. Check in and out were efficient and all staff were generous and hospitable. Located on St Lawrence Gap meant we were close to restaurants and markets, and with easy access to beaches. The room was comfortable with all amenities and we had a most scenic view of the Caribbean Sea from our balcony. We were even treated to a bottle of red wine in celebration of our anniversary. Will definitely return.

This was my third stay at the property, and I continue to be impressed. The location is excellent — with plenty to explore within walking distance — and the hotel keeps evolving. On each visit, I’ve noticed thoughtful updates; this time, I particularly liked the redesigned reception waiting area and the refreshed layout of the bar. The rooms remain as comfortable and well-maintained as ever. It’s also one of the few hotels I’ve stayed in that offers a welcome drink and a discount at their restaurant — a small gesture that makes a big difference. The food was outstanding, with a wide range of options from local dishes to international favourites. The hotel is family-friendly, well-located, and consistently delivers on service and comfort. I’ll definitely be returning.

Staff was very welcoming and hospitable, all the amenities seemed very up to date, and the restaurant food was very good! The pool was closed for a couple days and they issued food credit per person, they also have happy hour 2 for 1 drinks twice a day. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Barbados!

A smart and friendly hotel with spacious, beautifully decorated rooms that have amazing sea views. Reception staff are very helpful! Their restaurant serves tasty food around the impressive pool deck (staff are great there too). Just 5 mins from the famous Dover Beach with a variety of quality bars and restaurants along the route.

1. Never had any USD 2. Got a 10% off on dinners but waitress conveniently forgets it on tab 3. Reception tried to charge us more money at pay at property when it should be 17 and some change usd as per Expedia 4. Food wait time was long. 5. Breakfast food is basic ... overall menu options limited. Everything else was good.
