The poor rating is a result of major amenity (pool, jacuzzi) facilities were out of service long term. If this is the case, it should have been disclosed by the hotel during the booking process, not at check-in. This would allow for fair comparison between competing hotels.

Amazing hotel. Will stay here again. Only downside is that the pool is under maintenance and I wish this was conveyed before we booked the room as it was one of the things that made us want to stay here.

The hotel itself was a good central location. Housekeeping was amazing. The outdoor pool was closed. If you want a pool for 2025 don’t stay here. When I booked the hotel in the winter there was a notice saying the pool was closed for renovations didn’t think it would be still under Renovation ALL summer but it is. Would stay there again if the pool was open.

We travel about 100 nights for business each year across the globe and we will tell you this is the BEST hotel we use. You will not find a cleaner hotel anywhere-for us it feels like home. The rooms are large, and comfortable, complete with wine glasses, and a kettle-little things you won’t find elsewhere. They also have the most luxurious duvets and towels. The 6th and 7th floors have a private and free lounge for coffee, pop, juice, water and even some light snacks, as well as Breton the mornings. Their in house restaurant is exceptional with their lunch buffets and large menu, and the sports bar is great to shoot pool, or watch the game. We absolutely can not say enough about Hotel Blackfoot-they go the extra mile and it shows!

So much noise from the rooms next door! had stayed here one previously and had the same issue but thought I’d give it another chance thinking it might have been a one off. Unfortunately, no. Different room, different floor, same issue. You can hear everything from the rooms next door. Every word, burp, music, alarm in the morning. I stayed for 2 nights and was woken both nights. And, while in the bathroom I could hear the conversation and shower from the room on the other side. Would be a good option otherwise.

I hadn’t stayed here, in years. It’s been recently renovated and is nice & great price. Our room, the AC wasn’t working. They tried to fix it, but couldn’t and brought us a fan.

Loved the executive king with comfy bathrobes, Lavazza coffee, cozy decor, and nice lounge. Not sure if the hotel staff can help it but it was quite noisy in the hallways late at night.

The staff was nice! The gym was decent as well. The room was nice and very clean. Bed was comfy. Unfortunately there was no heat working in my room. Had to call for maintence twice. They took a long time and was able to bring me a space heater around 11:45pm. It took a long time to heat up and the heater was VERY bright and lit the room so it was difficult to sleep.

We wanted water from the vending machine on the second floor but neither CC or debit wasn’t working. We came down to try first floor one and let the front desk know about the issue. They unexpectedly led us us to the second floor and gave us water free from an exclusive room fridge. I was very impressed by this. We will be staying here again, based on wonderful service, and care!

My review is atypical in the sense that I had a situation. I had lost a pouch, a sort of mobile petty cash envelope I was traveling with. When I contacted the hotel to see if by any chance it had been found, they were able to share the good news that a fellow guest had found it in the parking lot and turned it in. I had been told how nice the people of Calgary are, but the staff at Hotel Blackfoot went above and beyond. They were responsive, supportive and helped me to retrieve my belonging. Obviously, one never thinks about the 'situation' that might arise, because when traveling for business or pleasure, there are other things on the mind. When something does arise, however, you can learn a lot about yourself and others in their ability and willingness to respond. I had two good meals in the bar, my room was comfortable and clean, but what I'll remember about this property is the people. It's always about the people. Thanks you guys for the kindness you showed me.

The worst customer service experienced. Stayed here many times, but will be looking elsewhere for coming trips. No communication on pool being closed, and was told that we should have knows by the Desk Agent. Then all the other people in our group was given breakfast vouchers, but we were not even offered them. Was told by the Manager that since I booked online I was not given them. The desk agents and manager were extremely rude and just did not have any customer service skills.

Super clean and comfortable! A little removed from the downtown core but an easy drive to some of our fave areas of the city. Parking on site was easy and plentiful, and the property was quiet; but a lot of noise transfer in the halls. We will be back! (Some of our favourites spot nearby are Village Brewery, Reds on 58th, and Big Catch (sushi).)

We stay here every time in Calgary. The lounge access has become a great add-on to simplify our travel. The location is hard to beat - very close to Costco, Ikea, KMS Tools, etc.

Room was spacious and clean, beds very comfortable, staff very helpful and professional, room was quiet. Had dinner at the Garden restaurant 3 times every time the food and service was excellent. Unfortunately we couldn't say the same for the breakfast, service was very good, fruit, yogurt, and cottage cheese was very good, First day French toast was dried out second day you could only eat the center of the pancakes, the outside edge had a hard crust you could hardly cut with a knife and sausages 3 days in a row??? what about bacon in between??

The staff at this hotel are so above and beyond most hotels. They will do everything in their power to make your stay an enjoyable experience. The sports bar, lobby lounge and greens restaurant are all great!! The Sunday buffet in the greens restaurant is absolutely amazing. Try the crème brûlée it’s the best we’ve ever had.

The thing I like about the Blackfoot Hotel other than the fact that they have comfortable beds and clean rooms is that the anticipate customer needs all over the site. You can Chromecast from your phone or tablet if you want to watch a movie instead of the terrible cable channels that are usually provided. The breakfast is also excellent and it was only 850 per person if I purchased it through hotels.com. The staff were incredibly helpful and there are clear marked places if people want to smoke or charge their car and there's even a basketball court. I'll be staying here every time I come to Calgary
