Nice big room and bathroom with little private deck. Common area near room nicely provided with toaster and microwave and comfy chairs. Good on-site restaurant with very friendly staff. Nice pool. Lovely cleaning staff doing great job. Lots of parking.

All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely with a wonderful view overlooking the water. The resort was clean with a nice dining area and a huge deck to sit and enjoy a drink or two. Very nice place to stay.

Lovely outlook across the bay. Had to climb the stairs with our bags which would be difficult for less able travelers. Food was good quality in the restaurant and staff were friendly.

We booked here a bit last minute after some changes to our plans. It's an odd venue - it seems quite new and very well laid out, rooms are spacious and comfortable, rooms fittings all great - and yet there seems very little else going on in St Helens. I can only assume a lot of travellers use the town as a break on longer trips. It certainly wasn't busy while we visited mid January. Restaurant and bar has a huge deck with nice views across the water and wetlands (we had warm sunny weather). Food on offer was typical bistro food, and breakfast was a little underwhelming but ok. Apart from the small town centre, you can't walk anywhere from here; we had to drive to swimmable beaches or any bushwalking areas.

This hotel is in need of an update. The rooms were very tired and some of the florescent lights in the room were either out or flickering. The bathroom was very dated. However, we did have a nice outlook over the water and the hotel is conveniently situated.

The room and its facilities were excellent. Booking in was easy. The gardens were overrun and an attempt had been made to do some maintenance on the yard. The meal was very disappointing and was poorly prepared. We ordered 2 drinks and had to return glasses twice as 1 was broken and the next still had lipstick on it. The pork belly was so overcooked it looked like to was boiled then fried. The veg were good but minimal. My partners steak was covered in pepper (which he dislikes) the gravy was brown water and the salad was bruised and covered in oil. I was so disappointed as it was Xmas day. The apology was that the staff didn’t show for their shift but that’s not our problem. I would never recommend a meal there.

the hotel was very spacious and had a great view would stay there again it was centrally located and looks like they were doing some renovations outside will be great when finished. the only thing I would have liked was an air conditioner. there was a wall heater. I know its Tasmania and its not suppose to get hot but the room was quite hot overnight otherwise a great place to stay

Location excellent. Noise from wedding reception overwhelming, impossible to talk to partner during dinner in dining room. Meal was substandard - beans inedible, with only a few pieces of chicken in meal ordered. Shower stall ridiculously small, toilet also small and unstable plus rooms not sound proofed.

It is a hotel with cavernous public areas and the room we were in was similar. The bed was extremely comfortable and if it hadn't been for me coughing and sniffling (courtesy of a dreadful cold) my wife (and I) would have had a very comfortable night indeed. The restaurant menu was sensibly sized (I am always wary if it is too long) and the food was well cooked and delicious. Breakfast, likewise, was excellent. The bathroom was a little tired, but a good size. All in all, my wife thinks I did well to book in at the Panorama.

Spacious room & bathroom but the shower cubicle is very small, however I’m told all bathrooms will be updated and the shower recess will be bigger, tv screens are to small to watch comfortably from bed or chairs, if in bed larger pillows or extra ones in the room to support your back whilst watching tv. The food is quite good & the views are great as is the location.

Spacious rooms but it was so narrow the shower room. It's time to renovations to the bath room and shampoo and conditioner wasn't enough for 3 people. Room was spacious but bathroom 's amenities are so poor. That was so shame.

The decor in the room was a little outdated but it was a reaaly good size with a balcony overlooking the water. The bed was very comfortable and there was a desk with a chair as well as 2 other chairs and small table. The bathroom was dated but a good size except the shower was tiny. However everything worked and it was clean. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was wrll priced and good variety with several gluten free options.

Poor service at check- in. Kept waiting a long time whilst attended to other matters. Rooms are the same as the 1990s when was a Doherty’s resort when first opened. Very Small shower. Nothing special. No in room dining. No in room spa after 830pm as too noisy apparently!

Mike and I had the most comfortable stay At Panorama and I have recommended the Hotel to my friends and family. All the staff were so welcoming, and we loved the location. Very affordable. Enjoyed our meals in the Bistro.

The reception staff were very unwelcoming and gruff on arrival. On departure the reception staff member did not engage in any conversation because they kept talking in the phone We requested an additional pillow after walking quite a length to reception only to be told there are no spare pillows in the hotel. The next morning the linen room next to our hotel room was open. It was full of spare linen and pillows! No inroom service at all for housekeeping requests or food or anything. No inroom phone The hotel is dated and lacks being maintained. The management need to train staff in how to be in hospitality and also take a course themselves. Disappointing stay

When we walked in the welcome was lovely the setting was nice and clean. Headed to the room was easy to follow and rooms were nicely kept and clean. Headed in to the bistro for dinner handed 2 menus that were different. Then went to the bar were 2 bar staffed looked at us without a word then walked away till another person can to take our order. Who was also confused on the menu as we were didnt know there was pre-made cocktails in can to order. Went to get water and the glasses were hot and unpolished and some were dirty .got the good which was 10/10 couldnt fault then sat with the dirty plate for 40min till we left so to sum it up birsti serive was poor which let down the standard and beauty for which we paid for.

Went to get water and the glasses were hot and unpolished and some were dirty .got the good which was 10/10 couldnt fault then sat with the dirty plate for 40min till we left so to sum it up birsti serive was poor which let down the standard and beauty for which we paid for.

The staff were most accommodating and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable with the on site bistro serving all three meals throughout the day. The walk to the nearby shopping area was short and interesting with boutique shops and larger stores in the mix.

This is a very nice hotel that is in a great location. You can easily walk into town and the rooms on the South Side have a nice view of the Bay. The birds can get a little “chatty” at night so I wouldn’t recommend sleeping with the patio door open.

The view from our balcony over the bay and marshlands was beautiful, the birdlife amazing could have sat and watched it all day. Easy access to the Bay of Fires. Rooms clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

We booked here a bit last minute after some changes to our plans. It's an odd venue - it seems quite new and very well laid out, rooms are spacious and comfortable, rooms fittings all great - and yet there seems very little else going on in St Helens. I can only assume a lot of travellers use the town as a break on longer trips. It certainly wasn't busy while we visited mid January. Restaurant and bar has a huge deck with nice views across the water and wetlands (we had warm sunny weather). Food on offer was typical bistro food, and breakfast was a little underwhelming but ok. Apart from the small town centre, you can't walk anywhere from here; we had to drive to swimmable beaches or any bushwalking areas.

The place is tired, but it is in the process of being refurbished so kudos to the owners for that. The rooms are clean, but dated, and things like fixtures need replacing (all of which I believe is planned). The real issue for us was the food. It was a Sunday evening, and our meal was very ordinary (a beef stir fry). The meat was dry and the whole dish had no flavour. It was certainly not cooked fresh (frozen and microwaved perhaps, due to lack of staff on a Sunday night?). The wait staff were lovely, and tried to make amends with a free desert. Unfortunately that was also terrible! (profiteroles: very soggy). I know it's hard for businesses to keep up the quality in winter when traffic is down, but I resent paying full price for a very bad meal. On the plus side, the location is wonderful if you have a sea view room, and enjoy watching the birdlife.

Over priced and our beef, cashew with chilli jam stir fry was more like a watery stew. Staff were luke warm and not very enthusiastic. Came away thinking well it was a roof over our head and nothing else. If I was still working as a Travel agent I would not recommend this property to my clients.

Mike and I had the most comfortable stay At Panorama and I have recommended the Hotel to my friends and family. All the staff were so welcoming, and we loved the location. Very affordable. Enjoyed our meals in the Bistro.

Panorama is a beautiful resort, and very impressive, no secure parking, we unfortunately had an ensuite door that had a high pitched squeek every time it was used, and the supposed king sized bed which are two king singles together have you lying on the hard edge of two mattresses if you try to get close to your partner, not at all comfortable

Nicely presented property. Staff were friendly & provided details at check-in. Room was spacious& clean. Large comfortable bed. Tea/coffee making facilities. Hotel had restaurant. There were also common areas to sit , relax & enjoy the outlook. A nice spot to stay in St Helen’s. Walkable to the Main Street.

The room was quiet, spacious and immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable. The mop provided for the shower was worn out but was replaced the next day following our telling the receptionist. The only thing we found inconvenient was that we had to place the kettle on the floor to make coffee. The fire in the restaurant was pleasant and our meal very good.
