We had a great stay here! The location was amazing as it was so close to the city center of Lugano. We easily walked from the hotel to all the busiest spots in the city. Amazing food surrounds this place as well as stores for shopping. The included breakfast was pretty good as well! The only negative experience we had was with one of the staff. I was pushed into getting a drink I did not want, even after I declined it a couple of times, since they did not want what I actually wanted. And after, I had told them I wanted to pay for the drink bill right away, not put it on the room because I wanted to use a different card for the drink order. Again, same person kept pushing to put it on the room when I had told them “No” about a dozen times. Finally, he gave up and left so I could take care of it with the supportive staff at the front desk. Other than that abnormal experience, we had a great stay!

The hotel is situated below the train station, accessible by a steep, zigzag path. The incline made carrying luggage to station challenging.

The hotel was just below the train station but it was still very quiet. The rooms were updated and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of hot and cold foods. We walked down the hill to dinner, sightseeing and shopping and took the tram up. Transportation was free because of the pass the hotel gives you. Excellent place to stay!
