Loved the baked bread! The room was exactly what I expected for Venice area, unique. Great location but parking is an issue, don’t use overnight parking down the street, they wanted $60! Renaissance, parking structure, at Navy and Pacific is best $20!

I stayed at the Gjelina hotel over a weekend to get some intense work done away from the distractions of home. The staff were incredibly helpful, shoutout to Elliot especially. Lots of places to sit and hang out (or work) like the rooftop terrace, the courtyard, and even the lobby. Great to have Ocean Front Walk right there for high energy breaks and walks. The room was surprisingly quiet for one block from the beach.

Cutest little spot. It’s like a hallway with rooms on both sides. The room we had is small but perfect for a short trip. It had everything we needed. The location was perfect. Right in front of the parking lot for the beach. So moving the car was easy. It is a good location for restaurants. We walked to breakfast and dinner. Two girls felt safe enough to walk back at night. They gave us all the tips for parking. The guy at check in came out to our car and brought all our bags in for us. 👏 It was amazing. The common area is perfect for games, the bigger sink is perfect for refilling bottles and the cute breakfast they serve. Mostly croissants and muffins. We didn’t partake but it looked gourmet. Upon check out it was easy and everyone was so kind.

Super Unterkunft mit perfekter Lage für Venice Beach. Einzig die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig und in unserem Fall war der Lüfter im Bad nicht auszustellen. Ansonsten immer wieder, besonders auch wegen des integrierten Frühstückes (Kaffee, Milch, Tee, O-Saft und leckere Croissants).

I don’t want to tell too many people about this exclusive, boutique hotel. Not anything bad…. All things were perfect. I just don’t want to see it overrun by tourists. It’s very peaceful and quiet. My room, the simple and basic one was perfect. I slept like a baby. It backed up to a small alley but no matter, there were no noises from the street. The shower was hot and water plentiful. The best comfortable and great sheets. Super pillows that cradled my weary, jet lagged head. The staff is enthusiastic and kind and coffee in the morning is hot and strong. Those croissants? Brilliant. I’m coming back. And for the others? Glad they know of a nice place that’s not touristy. Like coming home for me.

I stayed at the Gjelina hotel over a weekend to get some intense work done away from the distractions of home. The staff were incredibly helpful, shoutout to Elliot especially. Lots of places to sit and hang out (or work) like the rooftop terrace, the courtyard, and even the lobby. Great to have Ocean Front Walk right there for high energy breaks and walks. The room was surprisingly quiet for one block from the beach.

The front door was locked so it felt safe to ring the doorbell in order to enter or use my key card. The room was quiet and not as small as I expected for a full bed. Very clean. The lobby felt like I was coming home. It was very cozy at night, and also lively in the morning. There is a garage parking around the corner for overnight and is cheaper if you use an app like ACE PARKING app. It was worth $20 to park there overnite, since it was difficult to find free street parking. The streets are a bit dirty and walking around smell of drugs. But the small hotel itself was beautiful. Make sure you have a buddy if you're new to the LA area. I dont suggest walking alone at night.

Beautiful hotel with rustic motif. Immediate parking is convenient , not related to the facility , but $60 for overnight- It’s a bargain for LA. The room was clean and beautiful. The hotel was located within walking distance to the beach and the many shops along the strip. Great overall experience.

Super Unterkunft mit perfekter Lage für Venice Beach. Einzig die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig und in unserem Fall war der Lüfter im Bad nicht auszustellen. Ansonsten immer wieder, besonders auch wegen des integrierten Frühstückes (Kaffee, Milch, Tee, O-Saft und leckere Croissants).

Loved the baked bread! The room was exactly what I expected for Venice area, unique. Great location but parking is an issue, don’t use overnight parking down the street, they wanted $60! Renaissance, parking structure, at Navy and Pacific is best $20!

I don’t want to tell too many people about this exclusive, boutique hotel. Not anything bad…. All things were perfect. I just don’t want to see it overrun by tourists. It’s very peaceful and quiet. My room, the simple and basic one was perfect. I slept like a baby. It backed up to a small alley but no matter, there were no noises from the street. The shower was hot and water plentiful. The best comfortable and great sheets. Super pillows that cradled my weary, jet lagged head. The staff is enthusiastic and kind and coffee in the morning is hot and strong. Those croissants? Brilliant. I’m coming back. And for the others? Glad they know of a nice place that’s not touristy. Like coming home for me.

Cutest little spot. It’s like a hallway with rooms on both sides. The room we had is small but perfect for a short trip. It had everything we needed. The location was perfect. Right in front of the parking lot for the beach. So moving the car was easy. It is a good location for restaurants. We walked to breakfast and dinner. Two girls felt safe enough to walk back at night. They gave us all the tips for parking. The guy at check in came out to our car and brought all our bags in for us. 👏 It was amazing. The common area is perfect for games, the bigger sink is perfect for refilling bottles and the cute breakfast they serve. Mostly croissants and muffins. We didn’t partake but it looked gourmet. Upon check out it was easy and everyone was so kind.

the location, the design, the staff, the room, the vibes were all top tier. If i have to nitpick, there were two things that i would have to mention. If i were entitled id throw a fit, since i am not, i hope that these are only things to be mindful of. If i had another visit to Venice Beach I would definitely stay here again frfr. With that being said… 1) if you happen to rent a car, there is no dedicated on-site parking. It was a really a non-issue, but you may spend an extra 3-5 minutes finding parking. As a solution that has probably already been thought of, I would like it if there was a valet service that collaborated with a local parking area/structure. Additionally, having a space to load-unload that is primarily reserved for Gjellina patrons would make the arrival process slightly easier. Street parking is really easy to find. If you can navigate a Traders Joes parking lot, venice beach parking is a no brainer. 2) the humidity outside is the humidity inside. Maybe i was doing something wrong. There is excellent ventilation, but my swim shorts never really dried. Still a non issue, they were dry enough. IRRRregardless, i highly recommend staying here. The staff is friendly, the welcome cookie is fire, and there a lot of little things that are worth discovering yourself. And dudegirlbrosis, the location?!!! Nothings beats it. Also, beware of coming here for beach music festivals, the city might cancel them because of “weather” and not ticket sales.

My stay at Gjelina surpassed all expectations. A lovely escape for my 50th birthday and so worth the extra splurge on the King Suite with a bathtub. The room so well curated, the view perfect. An overall memorable stay. Thank you!!
