This hotel has great touches for dogs. We loved that. A dog bed, set of food and water bowls and a small dog park. Close to bike and walking path and very convenient to SOU campus.

The room is very clean and comes with toiletries, but pool is closed for the stay. We checked in late and the parking lot was already full with limited property parking. Very nice and attentive front desk.

It’s a cute remodeled, old motel. I appreciate the vintage charm and the front desk staff was warm and friendly. The breakfast could use some juice, fresh fruit and better coffee. There is no on site place for your dog to relieve themselves, so be aware that you will need to walk across the (quiet) 4 lane road for that. Small green areas on site have signs that say “no dogs allowed”. Staff are not there for late check in so be sure to look into that easy process if needed. Also, heads up for the low clearance main entrance if you have a roof bike rack! There are other ways to access the limited parking area. Ample fridge and TV were welcome conveniences on our road trip. Microwave could use updating.

I have stayed at the Timbers multiple times over the last 10 years. I like the convenient location and access to lots of stores/restaurants. The room itself was nice and clean but the light bulbs were burned out in the bathroom. It was super hot in Ashland but the pool was closed, so that was disappointing. The ice machine was broken, also a disappointment. The young woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful. However, I went into the office a few times, rang the bell and no one ever came into the office. Perhaps more staffing in the office is necessary? I do miss the free breakfast and coffee station that used to be available.

I liked the convenience. Parked outside my room. Had a little park for my dog. Also centrally located to shops, restaurants, freeway. Room was great and staff was really nice.

Air Conditioner had broken buttons and we couldn’t control fan. It was over 100 outside when we were there. It was cool in the room when we arrived. Had to unplug it at night because it wouldn’t shut off. Bed was a bit lumpy and pillows were tiny and just foam. I was hoping to swim but pool was about 8feet by 10feet and right next to a busy road.

The staff and receptionist were very nice and helpful. We rated the room excellent because it was exceptionally clean, nicely decorated and comfortable! The place was quiet and a very convenient location too. We were quite impressed and happy to end our 2-week traveling time in a super well maintained environment.

The staff are amazing here, but the hotel is pretty dirty. I took a shower and then found a flea crawling on my leg, to which the staff responded that they would talk to their bug guy about and changed our bedding, but my partner woke up with about 10-15 bite marks. Otherwise the floors are stained, the blinds tattered, the tub floor is peeling, there was food left in the fridge, a footprint on our bedding, and there are cracks in the walls beneath a bowing ceiling. So staff are 5/5, but the cleanliness is 0/5 I think this cute lil hotel will be great with some constructive feedback and some cleanup efforts.

The room is clean but I don’t think they change the bedding. I can smell perfume on the pillow. Bathtub is clogged due to a lot of hair after I cleaned it then water draining faster.

Pros - very friendly service. Nice location. I recommend the Market of Choice and The Great American Pizza Company right next to the property. Not too far from downtown. Cons - not the cleanest. Carpet had gross stains. Bathtub had peeling paint. I feel like it is overpriced for the condition it's in.

It was alright place to stay, very tidy and clean rooms. But it was a bit noisy from outside (my room was on the ground floor). And curtains were a bit difficult to fully shut, so it was never fully dark in the room. But apart from these, it was a pleasant stay.

Hotel shows its age, but was clean and bed comfortable. Only weird thing is that when bathroom door is open it blocks sink and vanity. TV was placed on furniture and was a little low if you were hoping to watch in bed. There was a disclaimer specifying that if towels got “too” dirty, you’d have to pay for them. Coffee maker brewed coffee but temperature was lukewarm at best.

It’s an older hotel that is a conveniently located next to Southern Oregon University. The rooms are dated, but they were comfortable and clean. The only issue is that most of the available outlets were controlled by the light switch so, you needed to have the lights in to use them.

Clean, quiet, and affordable. Very accommodating of our late arrival. Loved having the Great American Pizza Co as a ready option right next to the hotel when we arrived. Easy to get essentials at the Market of Choice directly behind the hotel.

I genuinely wish I could give this place a better review as it is clearly a small, family-owned and run motel, and the room was fine, but the service was horrible and unprofessional. First, it is clear they have invested exactly zero time understanding how to accommodate people with disabilities in compliance with federal law, or training their staff to do so. I arrived with my service animal and was met with questions about my dog as a pet or ESA. I told Lindsay, who checked me in, that my dog is not a pet but a service animal. She told me it was hotel policy that I couldn’t stay in a non-pet room with my service animal (which conflicts with disability law). When I suggested they spend time learning the ADA and how to better accommodate people with disabilities, Lindsay condescendingly told me I just must be having a bad day. She was holding back laughter throughout the whole encounter. Second, their boy, old enough to understand better, was peeking through the window into my room several times, even after I closed the curtains. I have never been met with such unprofessional, dismissive, patronizing, and disrespectful service.

Very basic room, but it’s affordable for the area, and super close to SOU. Market of Choice and a great little pizza place surround the motel, so if you need any late night goodies, you’re all set. Bed was comfy/firm. I wouldn’t say I felt the safest ever when I went alone to the car to grab something at night, but it wasn’t sketchy either…kinda middle ground. This is our second stay and we’d stay here again.

I was here in Ashland for a quick business trip. The Timbers Inn did what I needed was a place to rest and sleep. Great grocery store next door for quick eats. There are a couple restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel.

The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and went out of her way to make my stay comfortable. Great customer service is a rare find these days, but was just what I needed after a long drive. The property is charming, the room comfortable and clean, and the breakfast included protein choices. A great stay!

It’s a cute remodeled, old motel. I appreciate the vintage charm and the front desk staff was warm and friendly. The breakfast could use some juice, fresh fruit and better coffee. There is no on site place for your dog to relieve themselves, so be aware that you will need to walk across the (quiet) 4 lane road for that. Small green areas on site have signs that say “no dogs allowed”. Staff are not there for late check in so be sure to look into that easy process if needed. Also, heads up for the low clearance main entrance if you have a roof bike rack! There are other ways to access the limited parking area. Ample fridge and TV were welcome conveniences on our road trip. Microwave could use updating.

Perfect spot directly across the street from SOU. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was delicious. Loved that there were Twinkies and Cupcakes to take on the way out. Owners were so friendly. Definitely will book again when I drop my son off for school next year!!

Clean, quiet, reasonable rates, good maintenance on the property as a whole. Breakfast area spotless, although, opened at 8, not conducive for an early start. A/C was effective, and noticeable when running (but what wall unit isn't?) All in all a pleasant surprise.

I have stayed at the Timbers multiple times over the last 10 years. I like the convenient location and access to lots of stores/restaurants. The room itself was nice and clean but the light bulbs were burned out in the bathroom. It was super hot in Ashland but the pool was closed, so that was disappointing. The ice machine was broken, also a disappointment. The young woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful. However, I went into the office a few times, rang the bell and no one ever came into the office. Perhaps more staffing in the office is necessary? I do miss the free breakfast and coffee station that used to be available.

Timbers was so accommodating to my family! It was a comfy room with 3 queen beds which made for a very relaxing stay. The hotel was well taken care of and the office staff/owners were sooo nice and even offered to help with my bags and walked them to my room. The breakfast items were fine and they had just the right variety of options for all.

The property is a little older, but very convenient to the Ashland area. The staff was incredible, both helpful & friendly. When we arrived we were given a discount on our pet fee because the carpet was dirty. That was an understatement as the carpet was heavily stained despite a sign on the room indicating it was a non-pet room. Breakfast consisted of brewed coffee, cereal, bagels, all in a small area of the front office. If you want a more substantial breakfast you'll have to go elsewhere. The room was comfortable. Parking was easy in their lot. If you are unconcerned with frills it's a good place to stay.

Being on special diets, my friend and I both appreciated booking a room with a kitchen (fridge, stove, plates, etc) A bit of a walk to OSF campus for those not used to walking, but doable for younger folks. Does appear to be on the bus line, but we had a car. A few smaller things weren't deal breakers (bigger coffee cups) but we did have major trouble, late at night, with the room key not working. Strongly suggested to mgmt that they replace all door knobs and locks.

Great little motel. Very clean and spacious rooms. My only complaint: Neither of the ice machines near my room were working (and there was no sign to indicate that, which would have been helpful -- if i'd know, I'd have gotten ice elsewhere).
