Access to the room from the car park was difficult with large suitcases. The property has numerous sets of stairs, with no lift or assistance from staff with luggage. We tried to order food, the menu was in Romanian, staff were unable to translate. We ordered food from Uber eats and were told that we couldn't borrow a fork. The property appeared dated and need of minor repair.

I stayed here in May. Despite advertising "Free On-site Parking," after registering my vehicle and following all instructions at the kiosk inside the hotel, I still received a 90 GBP/$170.29 CAD parking ticket from the Parking Authority. I tried to resolve this with the hotel and Expedia, and the hotel just ignored it and did not make any attempt to amicably resolve the situation. Very disappointed and now out $170.29. The hotel was also dirty and in poor condition, with unfinished boards of wood nailed to the bathroom floor by the shower. I would never stay here again and not recommend it to anyone. You cannot trust that the hotel will help you with issues, that the rooms are not clean or in good repair, and errors with their parking registration kiosk or staff registering the vehicles could result in very expensive parking tickets on the hotel property. I tried for 3 weeks to resolve this with the hotel to no avail. 1 star out of 5. Terrible and expensive experience and a poorly kept hotel.

Shocking. Hotel is old, stuffy. Aircon hardly works do room stifling. No F&B whatsoever.. I moved out after 1 uncomfortable hit sticky night.

It provided somewhere to stay for the night whilst working. Not somewhere I would choose for anything else. Thought I would let the staff know that the roof was leaking and they currently didn't have a bucket underneath to stop the carpet getting wet. Was told the roof was going to be fixed that day - on a Sunday! needless to say when I returned in the evening it hadn't changed. The food was ok if you needed something to eat, but I would guess most people would go elsewhere as it is a buffett style. The property is dated and could do with modernising and definitely fixing the numerous leaks and buckets of water.

When I arrived there was a very loud wedding party in full swing which stopped some time after midnight. This may be unusual. Also no plug for the basin in my room. But the room and bed were clean and fine for the money. Reception staff were pleasant. Plenty of parking.

Ability to book in 24/7. Rooms are quite dated, but clean. All lights & sockets (some with usb) worked. Bit concerned about party noise when we arrived at midnight, but room was well away. For the rate its fine - we flew into Gatwick and used it to rest overnight, its only 20 minutes from South Terminal and free parking.

Despite having a bar and a restaurant, neither were open, so no breakfasts available. Not good enough for a hotel mainly occupied by working men/ artisans. Little/ no attention to detail. The toilet seat was loose and hanging off, chain but no plug in the sink, 2 of the room's lights not working. But room was clean, bed very comfortable.

Avoid at all costs – absolutely disgusting! This place should not even be allowed to operate as a hotel. The moment we walked in, the stench in reception hit us – it smelt like waste water, absolutely foul and stomach-turning. By the time we got to our room, our eyes were stinging and watering from the damp, mould and disgusting odour inside from the unbearable smell of paint fumes. The staff were completely unhelpful when we raised our concerns, showing no care or professionalism whatsoever. Within just 10 minutes, we had to leave for the sake of our health – staying any longer would have made us seriously unwell. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. It is a disgrace that OYO allows this property to trade under their name. Do yourself a favour and book literally anywhere else.

Hi We stayed here as a cheap place to spend the night before an early flight. The young chap on the reception was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was right at the far end of the hotel on the ground floor with a balcony that went straight onto car park level. Very convenient for getting our suitcases directly to the car at 2am! The room wasn’t in a great state. Terrible in fact. Mould on the walls and peeling paint everywhere. The bathroom was covered in long hair and the toilet rim was covered in public hair. Had it been cleaned before we came here? Doubtful. We had to bath our kids in there after cleaning the bath ourselves and telling them to not touch anything. There was even a cockroach on the bathroom floor when we got there (see photo). Thankfully the beds were actually clean and relatively comfortable. Would we stay here again? Even for the price I’ve got to say no. I’ll pay double or triple the price to stay somewhere better next time.

I was very disappointed in the condition of the room when I arrived, it smelt strongly of cigarettes, as a non smoker this was very unpleasant. There was dust. The back of the toilet obviously hadn't been cleaned neither had the bathroom sides there was cigarette ash in the toilet, and there was something in the sink. The bed also had several hairs in it. I have stayed in budget places before and you expect some decor or damage to the room but ive never staid somewhere not clean before. There was an event going on and people were still in the lobby shouting surrounded by empty bottles of alchol when i left at 3.20 the front desk guy just gave an apologetic smile when i was leaving as i could not even have a conversation with him they were so loud

Very pleasant staff at check-in and out and bar service in the foyer but this place was shabby. There was a smell of freshly painted woodwork inside so maybe they're in the midst of a refurbishment but there's a lot to do. My room was not pleasant. The carpet throughout the hotel was dirty and the corridos smelled of smoking. My sheets and towels were clean but the matress and foam pillow wasn't comfortable. I didn't dare look under the sheets or pillowcase. They felt slightly damp. The surfaces in the room were filthy. I cleaned them with wet loo roll before putting anything on them. It was super cheap and now I know why. Id stayed in a travel lodge the previous night for the same price but they were worlds apart.

No breakfast facilities, hotel in disgusting dirty, bed and mattress in terrible condition, room not clean ,shower not working, room door lock activated from receptionist had to phone them up to lock door , air conditioning unit disgusting dripping and full of muck, electrics dangerous, damp and mould on walls balcony dangerous, unbelievable how bad this hotel is avoided.

We weren’t expecting much but to find bedbugs in one of the beds in the twin room was awful! Receptionist did move my kids to two single rooms but offered no apology (apart from taking a pic of a bug on his phone). Will never stay again.

Not a nice hotel. Base of my shower was falling apart and there was a continuous pipe gurgling sound throughout the night above my window. Uncomfortable bed, one pillow. All the carpets were dirty and stained, even though the corridors. No information about food etc! Never again!

Unable to get into my room on self check in. Reception ok however questioned if I had a booking despite showing her. Spent 40 minutes trying to get into a room. I got into the room and there is a note about hot water not always working in shower and to put hot tap on to clear air.. which I did. Shower remained cold and gave up in the end. Very noisy at night with what sounded like constant running water and a lot of stomping around throughout the night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

For us the location was very convenient. The room was clean and the location perfect for walking, with beautiful viewpoints very close by. It is off a busy main road but no noise issues. The building and decor are a bit tired but did the job and all was all fine for our needs.

Tv had no signal. WiFi didn’t extend to our room so apps wouldn’t work on tv and phones and tablets couldn’t connect to WiFi. Electrical sockets not working. Ethernet cable hanging out of wall. Broken shelf sat on floor ehen entered room. Room and paintwork tired and flaking. Light fittings broken. Corridors smell of cigarette smoke. Uncomfortable bed, rubbish pillows, no bathroom bin, taps running (not dripping - running continuously) as they won’t turn off properly. Any concerns ignored by receptionist. I swear we are not picky travellers - we’ve stayed at hotels with poor ratings that we’ve enjoyed and we will give credit where credit is due but this place’s only redeeming feature is its distance from the airport.

Very good place to stop on a budget. A couple of minor niggles with internet, signal was poor as basement room, and wired network cable/socket broken (as a network engineer I was able to rectify this myself) customer service desk answered quickly to queries that I had. Large room with a desk and full size bathtub which was a welcome luxury after a busy week. Great location at the top of Reigate Hill.

Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I wasn’t expecting a lot for the price but walking in it stunk of cigarettes in reception. Whole hotel was dated and depressing. Room was very small, bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The springs dug into my back all night. I didn’t use the shower as it was filthy. The toilet didn’t flush well. There was no soap provided in the toilet. My door did not fully lock. The iron was good which was great and the free coffee provided was OK. I arrived late after a long day or id of gone elsewhere.

I stayed here in May. Despite advertising "Free On-site Parking," after registering my vehicle and following all instructions at the kiosk inside the hotel, I still received a 90 GBP/$170.29 CAD parking ticket from the Parking Authority. I tried to resolve this with the hotel and Expedia, and the hotel just ignored it and did not make any attempt to amicably resolve the situation. Very disappointed and now out $170.29. The hotel was also dirty and in poor condition, with unfinished boards of wood nailed to the bathroom floor by the shower. I would never stay here again and not recommend it to anyone. You cannot trust that the hotel will help you with issues, that the rooms are not clean or in good repair, and errors with their parking registration kiosk or staff registering the vehicles could result in very expensive parking tickets on the hotel property. I tried for 3 weeks to resolve this with the hotel to no avail. 1 star out of 5. Terrible and expensive experience and a poorly kept hotel.

An absolute diabolical disgrace! You gave me the wrong room code, so not only did I set the alarm off on room 14 door while trying to gain entry but when I returned to the front desk and the guy gave me the code I walked in on a guy fast asleep! Can you imagine the problems if he had woke? Already an hour late landing at Gatwick, with work at 9am in portsmouth this was the last thing I needed. Oh and i get woken up this morning to a neighbour coughing a lung up and groaning in his bathroom, go to make a coffee as all the stuff is there only to find no kettle!! Bloody terrible!

We paid for the room on Expedia and when we arrived the hotel tried to tell us we owed them more money. We refused to pay more and showed them the price on Expedia and proof of payment and told them to take it up with Expedia if they wanted to but we’d paid the amount advertised. They eventually allowed us to check into the hotel without the additional payment they felt we owed. The rooms were very basic but comfortable enough. The shower was rubbish and the cold tap didn’t work in one of the rooms (we swapped rooms for a 2nd night). I got a small electric shock of the shaving plug because it was right next to the soap dispenser. The toilet seat lid also didn’t stay up so you had to hold it open when using the toilet. It’s advertised as serving food and drinks etc but everything was closed. The coffee machine was on but the staff said it was closed so they couldn’t make us a drink. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room and you could get more if needed. The site advertises a hairdryer in the room but there is only one in the family room apparently. Not the best stay but cheap, although I’m sure you can get more for your money elsewhere!

Unable to get into my room on self check in. Reception ok however questioned if I had a booking despite showing her. Spent 40 minutes trying to get into a room. I got into the room and there is a note about hot water not always working in shower and to put hot tap on to clear air.. which I did. Shower remained cold and gave up in the end. Very noisy at night with what sounded like constant running water and a lot of stomping around throughout the night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Had to provide photo ID online before checking in. Had to wait for at least ten minutes before anyone came to reception to check me in. The place felt as if it had been abandoned in the 1980s. Very basic.room. Shower was a dribble, though to be fair, the dribble was hot. Thin though large towels. On a positive note: two packs of custard creams with the teas and coffees. Will not be returning.

You’re greeted by an incredibly friendly front of desk staff, really lovely. There’s a £50 deposit for if you break anything which I wasn’t expecting and was a tad disappointing. The hotel looks a bit like it’s in a 90s time-warp, which personally I enjoyed. The room we stayed in was a little tired, but had a fan and air-con. The TV had a range of channels but also access to Smart TV features - something bigger chains don’t have. The Wi-Fi was down when we arrived but the staff told us BT had been contacted and it was fixed within a few hours of us arriving. This was a free feature of the room and a really good bonus. Overall, the hotel and stay is middle of the road. It’s not the Savoy but for its price point this was good value for money. The milk for the tea was out of date for our June stay, and someone has smoked marijuana in the corridor (not the hotel’s fault) but overall I’d be inclined to recommend this.

Very shabby & overpriced. Air con didnt wrk, tv remote didnt wrk, room door code didnt work, bed was ok but carpet wasnt v clean. No staff service you just had to phone reception. Will never use again

For us the location was very convenient. The room was clean and the location perfect for walking, with beautiful viewpoints very close by. It is off a busy main road but no noise issues. The building and decor are a bit tired but did the job and all was all fine for our needs.

Friendly staff upon arrival check in was easy. However disappointed to see the bar closed no restaurant available, hotel needs updating has potential to be a cracking place to stay room was a good size beds were in need of a new mattress, internet was poor happy not to of paid for it! Price per night was about right would not want to pay more. Plenty of parking available and the location to Gatwick was great and if it’s just a room you need this is ideal but don’t expect to much

The staff tried. We were walking the NDW. No food or bar Monday to Wednesday so had to get a taxi into Reigate. Room was good but no WiFi. Door wouldn’t open with the code. Close to NDW

Ability to book in 24/7. Rooms are quite dated, but clean. All lights & sockets (some with usb) worked. Bit concerned about party noise when we arrived at midnight, but room was well away. For the rate its fine - we flew into Gatwick and used it to rest overnight, its only 20 minutes from South Terminal and free parking.

The hotel was fine as i needed at short notice and econmy. As i don't drive it was 25 mins walk from the station. And uphill. All of which does not detract from the friendly helpful greeting and the basic but very clean room (they might want to have the bank at the rear of the hotel cleaned!) If youre driving and want a basic stay ovenight without Gatwick prices

Good location just off M23 , No road noise inside hotel. 30 min walk to Reigate town centre. Hotel is quite dated/showing it's age, the room has a desk, tv and kettle. the bathroom is adequate. Pros: good location, friendly, helpful staff, decent price, plenty of parking spaces. Cons: the bed! the mattress was like a sack filled with old clothes and the pillows were super thin. I was in a single room and it had a single duvet in a double size cover so a lot of loose material. Would I stay again? Yes but only for one night if I couldn't find anywhere else.

Interesting set up…. Probably got exactly what we paid for at £53 a night without breakfast. Single rooms, with all the facilities you would expect. Bed was uncomfortable with pillows about 25mm thick. Walls are paper thin, so thin the guy next door rattled my window with his snoring. The bar was closed and looked like it would never reopen. WiFi worked. Looks like the hotel is now used as a base for builders judging by the number of white vans in the car park… I booked it for the location and the price. If you book here take your own pillow and ear plugs… the plumbing is also very noisy.

Access to the room from the car park was difficult with large suitcases. The property has numerous sets of stairs, with no lift or assistance from staff with luggage. We tried to order food, the menu was in Romanian, staff were unable to translate. We ordered food from Uber eats and were told that we couldn't borrow a fork. The property appeared dated and need of minor repair.

Shocking. Hotel is old, stuffy. Aircon hardly works do room stifling. No F&B whatsoever.. I moved out after 1 uncomfortable hit sticky night.

It provided somewhere to stay for the night whilst working. Not somewhere I would choose for anything else. Thought I would let the staff know that the roof was leaking and they currently didn't have a bucket underneath to stop the carpet getting wet. Was told the roof was going to be fixed that day - on a Sunday! needless to say when I returned in the evening it hadn't changed. The food was ok if you needed something to eat, but I would guess most people would go elsewhere as it is a buffett style. The property is dated and could do with modernising and definitely fixing the numerous leaks and buckets of water.

Despite having a bar and a restaurant, neither were open, so no breakfasts available. Not good enough for a hotel mainly occupied by working men/ artisans. Little/ no attention to detail. The toilet seat was loose and hanging off, chain but no plug in the sink, 2 of the room's lights not working. But room was clean, bed very comfortable.

Do not stay here, there is no restaurant or bar. Shower did not work , very dirty room. The bathroom floor was so dirty that i had to ask for extra towls to lay on the floor. Very poor room lighting. One of the teo lights kept flickering so fast it was like a strob light and gave me a headache or you sit in the dark. I took lots of videos and pictures and am demanding a full refund for what i consider to be the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. It should not even be open. Paper cups and no way to stir your tea of coffee building work going on. The list os endless. Its not letting me upload photos. Funny that.

Sadly very very disappointed. There was a funny lingering smell throughout this hotel. Old fashioned key to open the door. The rooms were in desperate need of a refurb and clean. Bathroom door lock was broken. We were told that there was no food available during the week. We stayed for 30 mins and then checked out and booked elsewhere.

The property is very dated. It has a strange smell in the rooms, like a damp mouldy smell. Down the side of the bed next to the window there was mould. The air conditioning did not work. The only reason we booked the hotel because I have. 1 year old daughter who I wanted to have a good sleep before travelling the next day. The staff shrugged it off and said it wasn’t working with no offer of resolution. The photos in the hotel listing look to of been from 15 years ago as it looks nothing like that now. Spend the extra bit of money and stay somewhere else.
The property is very dated. It has a strange smell in the rooms, like a damp mouldy smell. Down the side of the bed next to the window there was mould. The air conditioning did not work. The only reason we booked the hotel because I have. 1 year old daughter who I wanted to have a good sleep before travelling the next day. The staff shrugged it off and said it wasn’t working with no offer of resolution. The photos in the hotel listing look to of been from 15 years ago as it looks nothing like that now. Spend the extra bit of money and stay somewhere else.

The hotel was ideally situated for my needs so facilities were secondary .It was a tired building in need of renovations however every member of staff I dealt with including the manager and the housekeeping were extremely pleasant and as helpful as possible

My stay at the Bridge House Hotel was extremely disappointing. The structure itself is clearly outdated and poorly maintained, giving an overall impression of neglect from the moment you walk in. The rooms are far from comfortable. The furniture feels worn out, the layout is impractical, and basic amenities are either missing or substandard. It’s difficult to relax in a space that feels so uninviting and badly kept. Comfort seems to be the last priority here. The bed was uncomfortable, the room lacked proper sound insulation, and the overall experience was frustrating rather than restful. For the price charged, this place is simply unacceptable. There are far better options in the area. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

My expectations were not particularly high but I will definitely not be returning. The hotel is incredibly run down. We were in room 11 at the far end of the hotel. There was a wedding reception being held the night we stayed, I suspect we had one of the worst rooms far away from the noise. The bathroom looked as though it had been painted at haste, very outdated, nothing looked clean and a mouldy shower curtain. The beds were clean, clean bedding, which was the only reason we stayed. The curtains in the bedroom had paint on them, were ripped and falling down. The corridors and carpets were horrid and everything needed a good scrub.
