This hotel was surprisingly nice! The spa, pool and gym facilities were great and the surrounding area of Freising had a lovely European village vibe with great shops and restaurants, all very walkable. Room was spacious. If you’re looking for a good airport hotel this is a great pick.

Check-in was incredibly slow (15 minutes with two people in line), the restaurant (Stubn) was horrible and the service bad, and the fitness center has 1970s-era equipment (and not much of it - one treadmill, one cycle, one elliptical for a huge hotel) that probably hasn't been maintained since purchase. This is an expensive hotel, so all of these things should be at least servicable quality. Avoid the Munich Airport Marriott at all costs.

The biggest surprise because they advertise an airport shuttle is there is no airport shuttle. It is only taxis for 35 euros each way! Also the sheet smelled like they were not well washed. The smell of someone who just came off a 14 hour flight

It was not worth the money paid, plus I don't know why it is call close to the airport, it is like 8 KMs away, it would have been faster to go to one close to a train station, honestly worst experience ever, the bed was horrible, the smell of the old carpet on the hallway and room was unbearable!

Even though the service was excellent and the hotel clean, lovely and easy to walk to the shopping and restaurant area - the beds are really hard and uncomfortable. It is unfortunate because as a Marriott we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Hotel was clean and had all we needed.

I would just say that the property itself is fine. It's stated that it's an airport hotel but it's at least 20+ minute drive from the airport. The shuttle is not free, costs 15 Euros each person one way. There was someone getting arrested when we checked in which wasn't great. I've been down to the front desk twice to get some information only to find nobody there. This was before midnight so staff were around, just elsewhere. I waited more than 10 minutes for someone to appear. When I called the front desk to ask about check out times several calls went completely unanswered. So not great.

Clean hotel with nice rooms. Courteous staff. Had to stand in long line to check in, took 45 minutes. Hotel is a 18 minute drive from the airport, so not close as I am accustomed to. Marriott does not provide a complimentary shuttle. They sub out the shuttle to an independent contractor. I ordered a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, but he never showed. I had to pay a cab 50 Euro's to get to the hotel. The shuttle back to the airport the following morning cost my wife and I another 30 Euros.

Finally we got a room, but it was smaller than the one we had booked; only two beds for three persons. However, the personnel were doing their best and we also got compensation for the hassle

This is not close to the airport as others have mentioned. We were told it was the closest Marriott to the airport of any in Munich but that shouldn’t warrant an “airport” designation. It’s a beautiful, comfortable hotel; just not close to the airport. The cab ride was 35 Euros from hotel to airport. The hotel shuttle is 15 Euros per person.

This is a great hotel but, for one that advertises itself as an "airport" hotel it is about a half hour drive away. They have a shuttle- 15 euros I believe, but we used Uber and saved a bit that way. Very friendly and accommodating service in the lobby bar. So while we enjoyed our overnight stay, if you\'re looking for the convenience of an airport hotel I\'d recommend the Hilton or Novatel - both are located at the airport itself.

It’s an okay hotel, but not by the airport. It costs 40 eur with taxi from the airport and takes about 20 minutes. The room had carpet floor, and felt a bit dirty. We didn’t try the bar or the restaurant, since it was 5 minutes walk to Freising which is a very nice little town with restaurants and shops. So it’s worth a visit.

Honestly after staying there, the only positive was the room size. However, the smells in the hallways, over priced and overly salted foods along with limited food options really left much to the imagination. Further, the staff booked us a taxi even though we requested a shuttle and did not advise there was a difference in pricing.

Front desk staff was so helpful - recommended which train for us to take to downtown Munich for a fun evening out. Stored our baggage for no additional charge while we were gone the next week; we're picking it up when staying with them prior to flying back to the States. Assisting in securing airport transport when their shuttle was not running. Breakfast is out of this world good!
