Prachtig gelegen hotel, kies ook voor een kamer met Rijn zicht, dat levert spectaculaire vergezichten op! De Welness is ook mooi, zit in de prijs van de kamer inbegrepen. We hebben ook gegeten in Bills’ restaurant, hoogstaande keuken, ideaal voor n uitgebreide diner, ook zeer uitgebreide wijnkaart.

Prachtig gelegen hotel, kies ook voor een kamer met Rijn zicht, dat levert spectaculaire vergezichten op! De Welness is ook mooi, zit in de prijs van de kamer inbegrepen. We hebben ook gegeten in Bills’ restaurant, hoogstaande keuken, ideaal voor n uitgebreide diner, ook zeer uitgebreide wijnkaart.

The hotel is located in a fabulous location on top of the hill and in the middle of the forest. It is an historic hotel, with a lot of history and important politicians who stayed at this Grandhotel. However, the hotel seems to still leave a bit in the past and it can be perceived when walking through the corridors. The room was ok, quite spacious and with a very nice bathroom. Unfortunately, not all the details were perfect, like one of the jealousies were not working. It was also impossible to make the room fully dark, given the light coming through the curtains. The pool and the sauna area were ok, just a bit small for a hotel of this importance. Similar vibes were experienced at the breakfast, were a standard buffet is available while the options a la carte are very limited, with some different eggs choice and pancakes. Last but not least, the personnel was generally nice but, not up to the standards compared to other guests: very short check-in information compared to two different guests before us and no water offered at the check out. Moreover, the inner parking was full, and we had to use the outside “free self parking”, which is 12 € daily, with machines not accepting foreign credit cards. In a nutshell, charming hotel in a very nice location but not a full 5 stars treatment.

Ein ausgezeichnetes Hotel mit hervorragendem Service, sauberen Zimmern und einem tollen Ausblick. Besonders gefallen hat der moderne Wellnessbereich, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Speisen und Getränke sind zwar hochpreisig, aber von sehr guter Qualität. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert.

Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Das Personal manchmal ein bisschen angespannt (Frühstück). Getränkepreise im Restaurant überzogen (7,50 für ein 0,5er Pils). Spabereich viel zu kalt. Keine Decken. Auch Personal anwesend. Permanent wurde man von anderen Gästen gefragt, wo es denn Handtücher gäbe … Dampfbad quasi nicht nutzbar, da zu kalt. Am Pool steht was von angeblichen 28 Grad, aber davon kann keine Rede sein … gerade hier ist wirklich noch Luft nach oben bei den Preisen …

El hotel es encantador. Todos los servicios son muy buenos. El desayuno es el mejor que he tenido en todos los hoteles que me he quedado. Vale cada centavo. Lo unico malo es que pedi por una linda vista y de todos los cuartos con vista al bosque nos dieron uno con vista al estacionamiento y el piso de los cambiadores en el spa es muy resbalozo

Sehr schöne Anlage, sehr schöne Einrichtung Blick suf Rhein ist traumhaft Biergarten mit sehr schönem Blickbund der Kuchen super lecker Ein Punkt habe ich abgezogen wegen Frühstück und die Personal im Frühstücksraum Wenig Obstsorte und Brot nicht besonders und zu wenig Personal für soviele Leute Mein Tee wurde in einer Kanne ohne Deckel serviert statt Deckrl war eine Untertasse

Most remarkable hotel I ever stayed in ! Cause is highly unlikely to sleep in the midle of the winter in a Deluxe grand room (350€) in a 5 star hotel (who granted them ?) without heating (not bad heating but total lack of heating). And even more remarkable with the hotel manager’s complete knowledge of the situation!!! Would I recommend it ? With certainty and with all my heart…but only on the first of April.

Vi havde et fantastisk ophold på hotellet. Hotellet ligger helt perfekt for et par dages ophold. Der er mulighed både for vandreture og for at smage på vin i området. Vi havde værelse med udsigt over Rhinen, men der også udsigt fra restauranterne. Service er i top og personalet er meget hjælpsomme. Hotellets restauranter er også gode.

Das Grandhotel ist ein wunderschönes Hotel in Königswinter. Das Zimmer war fantastisch. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Ausblick gebucht. Die Sicht auf den Rhein war herrlich. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls super. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt! Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

El hotel es encantador. Todos los servicios son muy buenos. El desayuno es el mejor que he tenido en todos los hoteles que me he quedado. Vale cada centavo. Lo unico malo es que pedi por una linda vista y de todos los cuartos con vista al bosque nos dieron uno con vista al estacionamiento y el piso de los cambiadores en el spa es muy resbalozo

Stop over on way back to Scotland from Switzerland. Arrived late and was still able to get a meal in restaurant . Staff were excellent. Only issue we had they wanted to charge us for breakfast when we had already paid when we booked. Manager sorted it out. Will definitely use the hotel again

The hotel is located in a fabulous location on top of the hill and in the middle of the forest. It is an historic hotel, with a lot of history and important politicians who stayed at this Grandhotel. However, the hotel seems to still leave a bit in the past and it can be perceived when walking through the corridors. The room was ok, quite spacious and with a very nice bathroom. Unfortunately, not all the details were perfect, like one of the jealousies were not working. It was also impossible to make the room fully dark, given the light coming through the curtains. The pool and the sauna area were ok, just a bit small for a hotel of this importance. Similar vibes were experienced at the breakfast, were a standard buffet is available while the options a la carte are very limited, with some different eggs choice and pancakes. Last but not least, the personnel was generally nice but, not up to the standards compared to other guests: very short check-in information compared to two different guests before us and no water offered at the check out. Moreover, the inner parking was full, and we had to use the outside “free self parking”, which is 12 € daily, with machines not accepting foreign credit cards. In a nutshell, charming hotel in a very nice location but not a full 5 stars treatment.

Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Das Personal manchmal ein bisschen angespannt (Frühstück). Getränkepreise im Restaurant überzogen (7,50 für ein 0,5er Pils). Spabereich viel zu kalt. Keine Decken. Auch Personal anwesend. Permanent wurde man von anderen Gästen gefragt, wo es denn Handtücher gäbe … Dampfbad quasi nicht nutzbar, da zu kalt.
