Amsterdam Hostel

Our room 108 on the first night was terrible. Right next to the kitchen and was very noisy, not idea after arriving off a 12 hour flight, plumbing was noisy too and had a horrible first nights sleep and was awoken in the morning too by the noisy kitchen. Honestly it was like there were no walls at all. We told the staff the next morning and she was amazing and moved us to the top floor for our second night which was infinitely better. 1/10 for the first night. 8/10 for the second night. Good location in SFO but there are people always smoking all sorts of things right outside the entrance. Also minimal homeless on the block, but lots down the street - Go uphill, not downhill.

Very pleasant considering the low cost, and great location. No elevator to the top floor which may be an issue for some. Had a private room which I liked. Needed to leave a $20 cash deposit for my key that I didn't know about at first but not a real issue (you get it back). Overall I would stay there again.

Its in a great spot and was priced well. Its a historic building but the amenities function well enough.

Parking was horrible. You need to pay for the garage parking which I was told that they connect to all the hotels in that area. Black market. Good job.

Hostel fica em uma ladeira muito íngreme, o que é relativamente normal para São Francisco; contudo, os quartos são minúsculos, abafados, escuros, tem cheiro de cigarro (talvez seja pelos hospedes que dormem com as mesmas roupas que fumam); o banheiro do quarto é sujo, tinha uma das partes do box quebrado; não há lockers, apenas caixas no chão sem qualquer identificação e minúsculas, não cabe um laptop, talvez somente uma carteira e passaporte. Enfim, realmente não compensa, não consegui utilizar a reserva e tive que procurar um hotem na cidade as pressas. Realmente não há como recomendar.
