Secrets Inn Lake Tahoe

We had a great stay. My only complaint is the parking situation. Had to park my car behind the hotel and it was a long walk to our room late at night. Rooms were clean and comfy and I would stay again

This place definitely needs some work and maintenance. The walls are so thin, you can hear everything that is happening outside and upstairs. The bed was uncomfortable and pillows flat. The staff member during check-in was short and not forthcoming with any information. Parking sucks. The only thing this place has going for itself is the location but with so many other places to stay nearby I will not be coming here again. If you’re just looking for a place to holdup it will do, however if you want quiet and relaxation then this isn’t it.

The jetted tub was amazing. It was very clean, the jets were strong, and the tub was a good size to soak in. 5 stars for sure! The shower was very nice, loved the tile, it seemed new, and we liked the design. The towels were large and plush. There was enough for 2 people. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom sink and mirror were a little high for a petite person but in excellent condition. The TV didn't work well, we had poor reception and couldn't really watch anything. The gas fireplace flames were very nice when it was warming up the room but once it hit the given temperature, the flames were minimal. I believe that's the way it was supposed to work, though. The coffee was the major disappointment. There was only one package of coffee, one package with 2 whiteners, one package with 2 sugars and another with 2 sweeteners. Not enough for 2 people and especially when one requires more than one package of each. It would have been better if they were more generous with that. The office was closed so we were not able to get any from there. Fortunately, Starbucks was very close by, so my husband was able to go get us some. The parking was pretty small in the interior and for handicapped, the spaces were lacking. We only saw one employee in the morning, and she was cleaning the rooms. I engaged with her briefly and she was very sweet.

The location of this property puts you within walking distance to the Heavenly shopping area as well as to the beach. Other beaches are only minutes away in the car. Will return to this area and maybe even this property every time! Booked the Alpine suite and was thoroughly impressed with the space and the amenities. The heart shaped jacuzzi (in room) was a hit with the wife. At night they’ve got a fire pit which was great to hang out near. Overall a great experience.

Very clean. Very comfortable. Had a romantic evening with my husband. We enjoyed the fireplace and jacuzzi tub. No complaints other than the parking lot is very tight! But great location and nice and clean and cozy.

This property is 2 blocks to the gondola and well priced. The rooms are smaller than pictured and the only ice machine was broken. Worth it for the price and location though.

Small but very nice, very clean and updated. The only thing is no room for chairs because of very large shower and jucussi but very nice little room for two people, and nice clean lanollium floors that were new Great place for two to have romantic get away but told they have larger rooms for families we will stay again

I selected this location due to it's previous reviews. I really can't understand how it even received one positive review. Room was smaller than stated size, it smelled musty, furniture was outdated. We had to get new linen and pillows, the pillows actually smelled like pet urine. Window A/C. Was noisy & smelled, shower drain was too small and restricted all the water pooled up. Not a recommendable place to stay.

My name is Timothy Filburn. I stayed at your establishment the 18th and 19 October 2024. When I arrived, I tried to cancel the reservation because I found out that a friend of mine had been bitten by a brown recluse spider. Your manager said that was not going to happen. My girlfriend found a cockroach on the morning of the 19th. I went and showed it to your manager and that’s when he said he contacted you and that you would give me a $50 reimbursement, which I didn’t feel was adequate. And then I went back to the room and found a spider in the room. I was told when I came back this afternoon that you had said that because I didn’t take the $50 I wasn’t going to get anything. This is completely totally unacceptable.!! You should be ashamed to run in business like this!! I’m gonna leave a review every single chance and every single website I

Do not waste your money staying here. I booked the Aspen room for a weekend getaway for my wife’s birthday. I saw the pictures of the rooms and thought it’d be perfect and romantic with the bathtub in the room and what not. I was sadly mistaken. For a place that emphasizes cleanliness in their description, they sure don’t live up to it. There were stains on the sheets, a crack in the bathtub, the tub was dirty and stained, the furniture was old and beat up etc. My wife and I stayed for about 5 minutes before we decided we cannot stay here. For $500 for two nights is ridiculous for what you get. On top of that, we went back to to the front office and after telling the front desk all the things that were wrong, I still couldn’t get my money back because it was non-refundable. I paid the same price and stayed at Harvey’s for a much better room and great service. Terrible rooms, terrible cleanliness, and terrible service! Do yourself a favor and do not fall for the pictures!!

Rooms are always clean and beds are always very clean and smell fresh. I’ve been a freaking flyer at this place for many many years and then I stopped coming to Tahoe for a while and recently in the last couple years I started staying here but once a month and I like it a lot better than some of the casinos. It is always pain and everybody’s very well respectable and every accommodation is always Met and what can I say? I love the Jacuzzi tub and at the casino tubs don’t even work.

Quite, peaceful stay! Room was smaller than we expected but everything else was amazing!

Walls were really thin, we could hear everything. The people staying in the room above us were so noisy and we could hear every steps they were making. So far the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. We couldn’t sleep for 2 nights, those above us were using their hot tub more than 4 times a day including at 3 in the morning and at 7 in the morning, knowing there are quiet hours that needed to be respected. The man at the front desk was not very welcoming.

In-room fireplace and jetted tub is nice. TV is difficult to navigate when it works. Parking is very limited. Walls are thin!

Upstairs person walked a lot during the late hours. We could hear all the footsteps and noise, even in the late hours. We could also hear the water run from the shower from the upstairs or adjoining rooms. A laminate wood plank was broken in front of the bathroom causing a bit of a tripping hazard. We liked that it was walking distance to restaurants and shops.

The room was decent but there was no microwave or ac like it stated in the room listing, it was about 75-79 degrees the whole night even while being only 54 outside. Bed was average comfort, shower was nice but the shower head could definitely be upgraded water got nice and hot, Jetted tub was nice, so Overall I give this room a 3 out of 5 stars. I'm sure its perfect for winter with that heat but in the summer if you're someone like me who struggles with sleeping at warmer heats, I would find somewhere with better AC! Otherwise if I bring my Own microwave or plan to eat meals out with no left overs to heat up, this is a solid room.

The room and hotel looked much better in pictures. It was clean enough, but it certainly wasn’t worth the price. Certainly wasn’t romantic as advertised.

The room was very nice, even though it was on the small side. It was very clean. The only thing that threw me off was the split buildings but I figured it out.

It was fine for an overnight. The AC is not very effective, so the rooms might stay hot.

Clogged shower drain. No chair or desk. Small room. Good location. Clean.

customer service is terrible

Stayed on lower level and the noise from upstairs guests was terrible. Very thin walls and floors. No response from front desk - which was next door at an adjacent property. Rooms are much smaller than photos.

I paid to stay. Once I arrived I learned that there is a specific time check in closes. No one answers the telephone or emails. I had to find another hotel to stay at. Now Expedia’s team can’t get a hold of them for a refund. This property is unresponsive.

Check in wasn’t the best experience, during checkin I was charged the full price of the trip without my knowledge until I checked my bank statements. It should have been explained to me that I would see the full charge on my account, I was not expecting it since I had done the option from Travelocity to pay a portion beforehand and another portion would be charged during check in. Instead the employee that helped us told me there was no amount paid and they do not operate with Travelocity. I was stunned and worried. The amount that was charged went into the money I had for my entire trip, I right away got on chat with a agent from Travelocity and they helped me understand what the problem was and my issue was resolved. I do not recommend going about business like the employee at Secrets Inn handled it. Made me and my husband feel not welcomed and we were totally misinformed.

The water pressure and instant hot water was amazing! Super clean room and quiet area. Will definitely be back.

It was nice to be able to walk to almost every place we went to. The housekeepers kept the room clean. The check in which had to be done at the hotel next door, wasn't thrilled with the check in. We got there a little early and when we went to check in, the guy said we could not check in until 3pm unless we wanted to pay $35 CASH. Seemed off and sketchy since it had to be in cash. Even though it is a short walk to the beach and lake, their was a fence all the way done so you could not actually go onto the beach. Room was really big, but definitely needs touching up. Patchwork was visible and bathroom door dragged on the floor and was not easy to shut. We did like the room overall for the amount of space, we liked the wood furniture, I liked how deep the tub was and the water pressure in the shower was great. We could hear the people upstairs when they walked. We definitely will not be staying there again. Overall, we had a great trip for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Hotel is in the perfect location right across from heavenly and close to beach access. I’ve come to this location before and it just needs some love and updating. Walls are paper thin, air conditioner started making a horrible noise at 4am. Fire pit wasn’t able to turn on, and there was not enough hot water to go around. I booked for the tub, but needed consistent hot water.

Centre of town and close to the beach, couldn’t get much better. And great value for money.

The Secrets Inn has been remodeled. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom, however, did have a slight mold smell. The fireplace in the room was a nice touch, but did take a while to warm the room.
