They need to fix slamming doors and the pool area is not very nice. It’s in the parking lot. Not very inviting. Other than that it’s a great location and comfortable room. Would love if there was some sort of outdoor area. Could use some seating in the room other than the bed and desk chair.

Property was nice, GREAT location, breakfast was good (both mornings). Need to get the elevator by the lobby operational (was not June 18,19,&20).The corner suite was roomy, balcony was OK, at times a bit noisy, but a LOVELY VIEW.. The only negatives was dark-ish grout in 2 corners of the shower and it took a loooooooong time to get hot water to it. YES, I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

I'm normally a little leery of two-star hotels, but since this property had so many positive reviews, we decided to book it for our stay -- and we loved it! As another traveler noted, there are some obvious signs of "wear and tear" in the building, but it was very clean and the price was perfect. All the staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Parking was free and the hotel was just a (literal) one-minute walk from both the beach and several restaurants. Bonus: the breakfast included was a small breakfast buffet - not just a continental one. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

I loved that the hotel was just across the street from the beach and that it also had a pool. I love walking and sitting at the beach but swimming in a pool. I arrived early and was able to check in early by the very friendly front desk attendants. Happily, I put on my swimsuit, grabbed a book and drink and went down to the pool. It was filthy. There were a few lounges but only one umbrella shoved back in a corner…my pasty NY winter skin couldn’t handle the sun without an umbrella and the pool was just gross. My three filters for this trip (& every beach trip) were beachfront, pool, & breakfast. I appreciated the availability of coffee and juice but cold eggs, slimy potatoes, and tired fruit didn’t tick the breakfast box either. The location was great and balcony breakfast right across the street was exceptional…maybe they should consider a partnership? I absolutely loved Amelia Island and will return …. but not to this hotel.

Breakfast was pretty weak. No half and half for coffee........large clumps fell into the coffee from the milk dispenser and the staff stated it was frozen milk (...?). Pool is tiny, no kids and adult pools, so you have screaming kids in the pool until well afer 9 PM. Not a relaxing adult experience.

Nice quaint older hotel on the beach. Breakfast was good from 6 to 9. No Daily room cleaning only every 3 days but you can request towels and such daily just hang tag on your door. The water in shower was never hot just Luke warm. Pool water was 100 degrees but seemed clean. Overall nice stay would return.

Room was dirty,sink didn't drain.they moved us to an "upgrade" with a balcony. Second room has dirty floors and balcony was filthy. Bathroom fan didn't work,sink didn't drain and phone didn't work. Bed was horrible! This hotel either needs to be updated or torn down.

Conveniently close to the beach but it’s an old, tired facility. Floors were not clean, hairs on the bathroom floor and mold around tub/shower. Facility needs a remodel and through paint job inside. Unfortunately we won’t stay there again.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very kind. We got there early and our room was not ready, but they let us stay for awhile in their lobby. They let us know when our room was ready. Very nice room, overlooked the beach

This place looks and smells like a retirement home. Severe, poorly-fixed water damage throughout our entire room. Don’t walk around barefoot either, it’s not clean. I’m sure you can find something more comfortable for the money. I would not return nor recommend.

The room had numerous issues, stopped up bathroom sink, thick dust in neglected areas, large gap on crooked entry door, water stains on ceilings, etc. Management was non existent. Tried 3 different times to contact them and door was locked during open hours. M

Hotel was nice overall but bathtub faucet dripped nonstop, coffee pot was broken and there was clumps of razor cut hair on the shower wall. Reported it in the morning and nothing was done about it by evening when we returned. Was never informed that we had to hang a door hanger to get new towels and when we asked for new shower towels we received two floor mats. Went back to the desk to ask for real towels and they said it’s hall they had. They were going to find some and bring to the room but never showed up. Breakfast was cold, barely microwaved barely edible. Did not stay an extra night because of all the issues. Unfortunate because the location was fantastic. A little effort on behalf of staff would have gone a long way and probably would have been a much better experience. Will not stay here again.

Cute and cozy looking. Was very close to the beach with a beautiful view. The first room we were assigned had black mold in the bathroom so we were given another one which was better. The beds were comfy. There wasn’t enough sitting room for breakfast but the food was pretty good.

Room smelled musty and found a dead roach in the tub. It wasn't until getting out of the shower I noticed mold all on the ceiling. I took pictures and think Hotels.com should be aware. People were friendly but the room was terrible.

When we got to our room, there was a strong cleaning odor and in the bathroom we found a cockroach in a corner of the ceiling. Not one we would recommend.

Our stay was fairly good. We liked the property and the playground area next door for the kiddos. Walking distance from the beach/restaurants. The neighbors were a tad bit loud. Our room was okay, you can tell there was an dog beforehand, chewed furniture, pet hair aeourbd corners/floor etc. (have an allery to pet hair:( ) *comforter has blood on it. So we used some of our linens/blankets.

The internet signal is weak at this hotel. I did need to preview an online class while I stayed at Amelia Hotel at the Beach, and it was a struggle to get through it. Otherwise, I have no complaints about the hotel and greatly enjoyed my stay on the island.

Don't stay in room 110 unless you can sleep through anything. The room is too close to lobby and you can hear people talking all night long. Then the next morning the dining area is right there so you get to hear everyone coming for breakfast at 6am. The walls must be thin because you can hear everything. It was one of the worst nights we have experienced.

Nice view from the top floor room. Close to beach. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Shower doesn’t have much pressure. The walls and doors are thin, can hear people in their rooms (maybe the hard floors echo sound?). Good stay.

Beautiful place, the only things I didn't like was the balcony door didn't lock and the door handle to the balcony was almost falling off. Other than that I had a great view and could walk to the beach.

The evening check in clerk was so helpful. She helped with ideas for restaurants, things to see. Just an all around friendly and helpful lady. She really made our stay great. The breakfast was good each morning. The location is excellent. You can drive your vehicle onto the beach if it's 4WD or AWD which was nice for spending the day on the beach.

Took over an hour to get our room ready. After Check-in, then they let us into the wrong room. That was occupied how embarrassing finally, they cleaned a room for us. As we sat in the hallway for 45 minutes, when we got into the room, everything was broken. The lights didn't work, Remote control was broken. The faucets were leaking. One of the sinks was plugged up., it was dirty and disgusting tried to get ahold of management for 3 days. Nobody responded even left notes at the desk to give us a call and they still never responded. Tried to file a claim with Expedia, but was unable to because they couldn't get ahold of the management as well.

When we arrived the receptionist was rude. Smart comments gave us room cards without writeing the room number. Since we arrive earlier than 4 I asked to make sure the room was ready and she said well I wouldn’t check you in if it wasn’t. She was all over the place. When I noticed we were not given our room number I went back to ask. And she had left the desk unattended to smoke.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. I checked in late on 4th of July weekend and it was still really quiet at night. Convenient to the beach. This is my go-to Hotel on the island.

This once great hotel has declined over the years. The room was not clean and getting extra towels required multiple visits to the front desk. The hallways smelled of smoking and the staff were perpetually outside smoking around the entrances.

Love this hotel. Check in was slow. Room was given and didn't work, second time room key work and it opened a room that was already occupied by another guest. Third key was a nice clean unoccupied room. Breakfast is always great and everything is clean

The staff was wonderful. Friendly welcoming and so accommodating. Anton is definitely a keeper. They are lucky to have him. Great clean room and enjoyed the coffee in the lobby along with the breakfast options. Wonderful location.

Stayed here for a birthday/ anniversary trip with my husband. The hotel was in a good location; easy walk to the beach across the street. The room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. Check in was easy but the front staff was not very welcoming or friendly. I chalked it up to her being busy since there were multiple people checking in at the same time but on our way to dinner I asked about the hot chocolate/ coffee in the lobby if it was available anytime. The lady behind to desk was very standoffish with her answer as if I was bothering her with my question. I wish that was my only interaction with the staff that was negative. The next day our keycard stopped working. I went to the front deck to get it reactivated. I told the gentleman our room number and what had happened. Without ANY words he took my card reactivated, handed it to me and that was it. I’m not staying anyone was rude just not welcoming or friendly. The only other employee we meet was the lady who works the breakfast. She not only works very hard is super friendly. We were there when it was cold and the food was hot every time we went up for it. Even with the not so friendly front desk staff we would stay again.

What a wonderful gem of a hotel. The location was amazing, we walked across the street to Sliders for dinner and the next morning walked to the beach! The room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again!

Love this property. Close walk to the beach. Love go juice and Vpizza is so close. Only complaint is they didnt have the waffle makers for breakfast anymore.

Came home after years away and a lot of living. Was expecting a bad day of a show, but came in, saw the Beautiful Art in the Lobby with a fun and friendly clerk who talked with us about the town, history, life, and our vacation plans giving my buddy who had his first visit to Dina ever advice on stuff to do for a real blast. Beautiful clean polished room, shining lit pool took us to the 90s nostalgia immediately. Impressed by the amenities of the rooms and how good the complimentary breakfast was.
