We arrived after regular check in hours. Called the after hours number posted and service was immediate and courteous. The facility is not new and it shows. The shower in our room featured a waterfall type shower head. Flow was good and hot water supply was good. Sink water supply and pressure was weak. Toilets are old and sit LOW. The toilet functioned fine. No issues there. The room is set up up with a couch at the foot of the bed and the television is mounted directly over the couch. That means you can only view the television from the bed; which I felt uncomfortable. You don’t go to Key West to watch TV. Electrical outlets are aged, allowing plugs to fall out and lacking in quantity. Parking was a half block away and not inconvenient. The location is prime. Right at the halfway point of Duval St from East to West. If you are a walker you can walk to anywhere conveniently. Breakfast provided is minimal however there is a Cuban Coffee Queen facility 50 yards walk across the street. There is a pool and a hot tub on a second floor deck and you can sit on the deck and watch the pedestrian traffic on Duval St while relaxing there. Front desk has limited hours. The after hours contact is the star of the hotel. Natalya is a whirlwind of activity and hospitality. There was nothing we needed that she did not accommodate to our satisfaction.

Very old property but clean and in a Great Location. Steep steps and don’t plan on using the tiny pool with only 2 chairs available. I would stay again just because of the location.

Great location for a Key West getaway. Every night we sat on the roof deck overlooking Duval Street, listening to live music coming from a nearby bar while people-watching. Our room was clean and quiet, and the included breakfast was delicious. The hotel had bikes we could rent to get anywhere on the island within 10 minutes.

I was traveling alone, great location, parking was included. The pool and deck area is very nice. Sitting out watching duval st, the bar a few doors down had live music you could hear while people watching.

Biggest disappointment was the hot tub was cold. I don’t care what season it is, when you list a hot tub it should be hot. If you want cold water, go in a pool. The main reason I chose your hotel. I asked the front desk to fix it and she said people complain it’s hot? Which is stupid. she would have someone fix it but never did it was still cold. The wifi did not work on our computer. The location was the best part. The hotel was small but very clean.

Worth the price, older style building, with modern updates, staff helpful, and pleasant. Roof top entertaining, with pool and jacuzzi. Definitely would stay there again.

The whole hotel smelled like mold, the room even more pronounced. Bathroom door, and ceiling were bubbling up. The room floor was almost wet due to condensation. Room windows were screwed on so they couldn’t be opened to give you a relief from the mold smell. A couple of the towels in the room were so old/overused that they were almost see through, one had an inch diameter whole. One of the worst North American hotels that I’ve ever stayed at. You get all these perks for $600 USD per night!

Where should I start? Our door to our room was not even on straight…not even sure if it locked. There was a two inch gap at the top. The room was filthy! There was a huge pile of long hair in our shower that looked like someone had cut their hair in there. Shower ceiling had mildew marks. There was also dark hairs stuck to bathroom door. The bathroom door also had a huge chunk out of it, like a dog had chewed on it. We brought leftovers back to our room which were covered with tiny bugs within an hour. I was covered with a rash because I’m confident the same tiny bugs were in the bed. There was an advertised rooftop pool and bar. The bar consisted of a refrigerator with a glass door that you could purchase items out of down at the front desk with a sign on it that said, “Out of Order”. Pictures on website are very deceiving!

The hotel is right on duval street in the middle of all the action. The room was dirty and we found someone’s leftovers in the fridge when we checked in. Just a good place to sleep downtown.

For a 2 night excursion this property is ok... as long as you do not expect to get any sleep. Our room faced Southard street and the bars on the other side were so incredibly loud that it was impossible to sleep... maybe I need to invest in NC headphones. Overall the location is great, right in the middle of everything. Rooms we dated but quaint and appeared clean ...until you walk across the floor barefoot or in white socks... both literally turned BLACK and there is NO WATER PRESSURE for showers. If you are a person with long hair...good luck getting the shampoo out. For a young person there for the party...cant beat this location, as an an older couple... next time we will book a little further away from the action.

Excellent location! Just off Duval Street with so many options for shoppin, drinks and great Cuban food. The two beds in a room, which i believe are few here, meant the bathroom door was immediately beside one bed (i could sit on the side of the bed and my feet were in the bathroom), which was odd. Not a lot of bathroom space and shower tiles needed a thorough cleaning. Pool area was not clean - ketchup stains (I hope) were on the one table all 4 nights of my stay. The rooftop pool looked nice - larger than expected. No ice machine near the pool, as another guest loudly complained about to me, should be noted. Local live entertainment means significant noise levels until midnight, or so - recommend ear plugs for light sleepers. I would definitely stay here again, but only if i couldn't find a better price nearby (boat race nights, prices doubled - over $600/night).

Best thing is it's in a great location, convenient and close to everything in Key West and right on Duval street. Rooms were nice, good size, and clean. Small pool was more like a big hot tub but very enjoyable. Second floor patio area was nice to relax and people watch on Duval street. Walgreens was right downstairs and not overly priced. Expect noise at night as it is on Duval street but air conditioner and bathroom fan were able to drown it out. Overall worth the price and I'd stay here again.

This is an older property - which does add some charm, but it is showing her age. While the property is clean overall, there are some little things that weren't too appealing. Cracks in tiles in bathrooms, some scratches on floors, the vinyl headboard had some marks and small tears, but overall, clean. We did not use the pool, but did take some time to sit on the patio that overlooked Duval street - which was prime for people watching (and you can hear live music easily from Willy Ts). The girl that ran the front desk isn't the most friendly or outgoing - Matter of a fact, when we first entered the lobby, I did not even know she was sitting there because she was set so low compared to the counter. It was a quick, easy check in, and she wasn't rude, just not chatty. The breakfast was pretty standard in terms of free. Waffles, toast, eggs, coffee, juice. Nothing fancy, but great to get the day going. The BIGGEST perk of this hotel is the location - and that really makes the age and condition worth it. You are literally right in the middle of Duval - take a left or right at the corner and you are halfway to either end. It made our days nice - We went one direction one day and seen it all, and then the other the next day. Also, for reference, its about 1.5 miles of walking to the Southern most point buoy - or about $11 uber ride. And about the same to the other end with Sunset Pier. We didn't have a car, so no idea on parking availability.

Nice hotel, but a bit pricey. You’re paying for its location in the heart of Duval St. It took a while for the water in the shower to get hot and the water pressure was low, and we were told “that’s how it is in Key West.” The continental breakfast (included) is just OK.

We arrived after regular check in hours. Called the after hours number posted and service was immediate and courteous. The facility is not new and it shows. The shower in our room featured a waterfall type shower head. Flow was good and hot water supply was good. Sink water supply and pressure was weak. Toilets are old and sit LOW. The toilet functioned fine. No issues there. The room is set up up with a couch at the foot of the bed and the television is mounted directly over the couch. That means you can only view the television from the bed; which I felt uncomfortable. You don’t go to Key West to watch TV. Electrical outlets are aged, allowing plugs to fall out and lacking in quantity. Parking was a half block away and not inconvenient. The location is prime. Right at the halfway point of Duval St from East to West. If you are a walker you can walk to anywhere conveniently. Breakfast provided is minimal however there is a Cuban Coffee Queen facility 50 yards walk across the street. There is a pool and a hot tub on a second floor deck and you can sit on the deck and watch the pedestrian traffic on Duval St while relaxing there. Front desk has limited hours. The after hours contact is the star of the hotel. Natalya is a whirlwind of activity and hospitality. There was nothing we needed that she did not accommodate to our satisfaction.

This was an odd place. When I arrived, no one was at the desk. I found the desk person on lunch break. I asked if I could check in, and was told no. Started to walk out, planning to come back later. She stopped me and started asking questions and told me to fill out some paperwork. I was checked in shortly after that. After an initial cold reception she was pleasant for the remainder of the stay. The doors lock at 6pm (access with a code after that, make sure to press hard on the buttons) and there is a number to call for late check in. Ran into a family trying to get checked in, no one answered but I found out later they eventually got checked in and seemed to be in a good mood. Rooms were dated, but nice street view. Great location. Off-site parking was convenient. I'd recommend staying here, just lower your expectations a little and try to get there before 6PM.

The property itself is great! The room was nice and clean. The housekeeping staff are very friendly. The pool Awsome! The one and only complaint we have is the lady that checked us in on Sunday…VERY RUDE. ( we weren’t the only ones to get that sort of treatment, met some folks at the pool and they said the same thing). Either she’s unhappy with her job or just not a people person. She has the wrong attitude and should not be at the front of the hotel in my opinion. However, the woman that checked us out was very pleasant!

Location was convenient. Check in person was continuously rude, talked over us and wouldn’t even look at us. It was like she couldn’t be bothered. Bed had long strands of hair all over it.

Great location for a Key West getaway. Every night we sat on the roof deck overlooking Duval Street, listening to live music coming from a nearby bar while people-watching. Our room was clean and quiet, and the included breakfast was delicious. The hotel had bikes we could rent to get anywhere on the island within 10 minutes.

This is an older property - which does add some charm, but it is showing her age. While the property is clean overall, there are some little things that weren't too appealing. Cracks in tiles in bathrooms, some scratches on floors, the vinyl headboard had some marks and small tears, but overall, clean. We did not use the pool, but did take some time to sit on the patio that overlooked Duval street - which was prime for people watching (and you can hear live music easily from Willy Ts). The girl that ran the front desk isn't the most friendly or outgoing - Matter of a fact, when we first entered the lobby, I did not even know she was sitting there because she was set so low compared to the counter. It was a quick, easy check in, and she wasn't rude, just not chatty. The breakfast was pretty standard in terms of free. Waffles, toast, eggs, coffee, juice. Nothing fancy, but great to get the day going. The BIGGEST perk of this hotel is the location - and that really makes the age and condition worth it. You are literally right in the middle of Duval - take a left or right at the corner and you are halfway to either end. It made our days nice - We went one direction one day and seen it all, and then the other the next day. Also, for reference, its about 1.5 miles of walking to the Southern most point buoy - or about $11 uber ride. And about the same to the other end with Sunset Pier. We didn't have a car, so no idea on parking availability.

Really great Hotel, I’m not sure why it doesn’t have better reviews, it’s right on the Main St., Duval, that’s where everyone hangs out and all the bars are and it’s only five blocks from the main square tourist area, where everyone goes for sunset, Mallory Square, I guess if there’s a complaint, it’s that so much is going on, you hear music all night, but it’s just depends if you want to be the person who stays in Times Square where all the action is or the person who stays a mile away from Times Square where it’s quiet

Some of the rooms are right on Duval Street above shops and near bars, so it's right in the thick of things. Bring and wear earplugs and the noise won't be so bad . . . and you can appreciate the convenience of being right on Duval near all the action. Breakfast was included and just enough to tide you over until lunch. It was a little weird at first not having anyone in the hotel after 6pm, but you punched in the code on the front door, made sure no one was looking or trying to follow you inside, and everything was just fine. Kind of like a throwback to dorm life. I'd stay here again.

Great location right in the middle of Duval St and walking distance to everything you want to see. 15 minutes walk from the ferry and 2 minutes from the golf cart rental and parking lot. The only complaints are that it was loud at night and the breakfast was not great.

The location was very good; the hotel was ok; the breakfast was poor; I don't know, but after breakfast I spent half the day in the room; it was very difficult to fall asleep or not at all, like the first night, or I woke up every two hours; the air conditioning was terribly loud in the wall next to the bed and they were partying in the bar next door until 4 a.m.

Hotel was an interesting shape but after we found our room it was a very good experience. Pool and hot tub clean. Also a nice place to watch the crowds on Duval St. don’t expect too much from breakfast just cereal, yogurt and oranges
