Motel 6-Ocala, FL - Conference Center

Paid for a king bed and fridge and microwave….we had to wait until around 5 pm to get into our room ..when we Did get a room it Had two double beds with no microwave or fridge ….the guy at the desk told me none of their rooms had fridge or microwave … the only thing good was the guy at the front desk was nice ….

Pros: Price, great desk staff Cons; No microwave. No fridge, no coffee maker, no hair dryer, no iron. Basically nothing extra. Housekeeping was virtually non-existent. Neutral: for price it was okay. Advice: ask for room not fing I-75, it will be much quiter. Desk Staff DENETRA was awesome. My room was very noisy (facing I-75), she moved me to a different room...much better!

Was not able to check into room until 4:00. Lobby bathroom was closed. Pool bathroom may have been in middle of being renovated, but neither bathroom had paper products. Had to go to front desk to get tp. Room phone didn't work. TV remote didn't work. The front desk guy came to check remote and worked for him, but after he left remote didn't work again. I think he had another remote with him that he used. Only had one ice machine and it didn't work.

No refrigerator or microwave in the room. Front desk promise to send maintenance to bring one the following day and they never showed up. In the Florida heat we were told that there was a nice machine before we got there.... When we showed up the ice machine is non-functional. Roaches crawling all over the floor and the walls. But most disappointingly the room smelled of mold infestation and fungus... Very difficult to breathe. How to cut short our stay.

You get what you pay for. If you’re ok with no fridge or microwave then you’ll be fine. Rooms were overall nice but some holes in the wall like people had punched them needed to be fixed. I basically just used the room to sleep so it wasn’t bad for me. If you do need a microwave there’s one in the lobby but that’s closed from 10 pm to 6 an

The room I was in was completely renovated and brand new. However, the exterior of the hotel was in horrible condition, many of the security spot lights were not operational making it unsafe and dangerous to walk around the hallways and up the stairs at night. There was a shortage on towels.

Friendly and helpful staffs, 5 stars. Overall would have been 4 stars, but we booked a premium room with microwave and fridge (paid more for it), but was told none of the room has microwave and fridge. The front desk staff said the advertising on Expedia was wrong (!!!!). Subtract 2 stars since we brought food and needed fridge and microwave. Room's apperance was ok, would have been 4 stars, but infested with cockroaches, we caught 5 cockroach in one night (subtract 1 star). Towels looked discolored and stained, we had to run to Walmart to buy our own towels (subtract another star).

There is no refrigerator, microwave, or hairdryer in the room and if someone stands outside your room talking, it sounds like they are in your room. Did not receive the room that we booked - King suite. We were put into a standard suite. After a long day of travel and celebrating the Thanksgiving Day holiday with family, we decided not to make a big fuss over it. The two queen size beds in the room were very comfortable but only had one pillow on each bed. The room was infested with ants, especially in the bathroom, and the floors were dirty/sticky.

First night hot water was ok not as hot as I like. No hot water 2nd and third night. Housekeeping did not come when requested. Bugs in room. Bed very uncomfortable. We travel 3 to 4 times a year and this was by far the worst motel we have stayed.

The sheets and pillow were dirty, and the walls of the room as well. They moved me to another one, but it was the same, and I didn’t ask for another change.

The front desk was very nice, but this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The first room smelled of mildew, the walls and roof had stains and it looked like mold. I had booked the room for 4 people, there was 2 pillows and 1 towel. The beds had dirt and hair on them. I went to check out but front desk was very apologetic and gave us another room. The second room was better visually but still had dirty beds and 1 towel but 4 pillows this time. The room smelled of cigarettes but there was no other available hotels so my family and I decided to stay but we should’ve slept in the car. DO NOT RECOMMEND

The unit I was given was filthy and infested with ants and roaches. There were so many ants all over the shower that when I first walked in, I wondered why the mold in the corner was moving. Turned out to be a cluster of ants trying (and failing) to climb one particular corner of the shower for some reason. The rest of the bathroom had tons of dead ants everywhere whereas the rest of the unit had 3 massive dead roaches and black mold all over the ceiling. The air conditioner (or maybe it was the shower drain) smelled of sewage and the sheets were oddly damp. I wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone.

There were roaches in our room. I told the front desk. Will never stay here again. Not acceptable. The hotel seems to be remodelling inside and needs to do outside. Maybe just tear down with all bugs in it

It appeared their were people living at the motel, many hanging around the property on the balcony late talking loud, smoking pot. I did not feel safe and lobby locked at 10. This requires you to walk up the alley to the stairs to get to your room. The phone in the room did not work to call the lobby anyway. There was a door between my room and next store. Very flimsy door with a deadbolt that didn't fit well into the latch. I would not recommend staying here if you are by yourself or female.

Noisy, noisy, NOISY! Loudest room I've ever stayed in!

First of all, I'm disabled. Not in a wheelchair but walking is difficult. I asked for a ground floor room but got an upstairs one instead. I figured I'd at least try it & see how difficult it would be. Omg! The stairs are at a weird angle & it hurt so bad to go up & down. I ended up asking others that we're staying there if they could help me get my belongings to my room. It was so late at night that I just wanted to go to sleep. In the morning, I went to the front desk & asked to be moved. The man working that day was fantastic! He had it all worked out for me fast. I appreciated his kindness & understanding. Now the rooms themselves were ok. I knew what I was paying for & I don't look too closely at the cleanliness part. I bring my own blankets & put one on top of theirs & I have another to sleep under. I also bring my own pillows. I don't even want to look at the sheets they have. The bathroom wasn't very clean. I bring my own cleaning products for this too. I tried to clean the shower but gagged at all the hair in the drain. It's one thing I can't deal with. The floor felt like it was covered with sand & I forgot to bring a broom. I know I shouldn't have to do all this but come on, I'm not paying for a luxury hotel. I'm being frugal & just don't look too hard. The pool looked nice. There were ppl enjoying it but my medical condition prevents me from trying it out. Overall it was a decent, inexpensive motel as long as you don't expect too much.

Least expensive hotel/motel in Ocala area. Room was spartan with no pictures on the walls, no mini frig, no microwave, no shampoo or conditioner in the room, no housekeeping and had to beg the staff to get clean towels. Room was never cleaned the entire stay (11days). Walls were paper-thin so noise from adjacent rooms was a problem. Checked in and there were homeless people in the lobby and outside the office. Pleasant employees and staff weee the highlight of our stay. We make 3-4 trips to Ocala per year and will stay someplace else.

Place to crush when you are too tired to keep driving after a long trip. My non smoking room smelled like cigarettes, the bed was super uncomfortable, but for what I paid…

The room is clean, I arrived at 4 PM to check in, but I was told that the room was not ready, and I had to wait for half an hour. The room did not have a microwave or a refrigerator.

It was a good stay at a tired place that has gone through some renovations with moderate improvements. Staff is helpful and friendly making check in easy. Lots of extended staff guests so considerable noise and traffic.

The hotel is run down and not taken care of. It looks nothing like the pictures. There's trash all over. It took about 20 minutes for us to even check in because the person wasn't at the front desk.

The room was clean. The staff was courteous but when it came time to check out the lobby was locked and there was a sign on the window stating that the staff would be back in 10 minutes. Seen bathroom door open so we knew they heard the bell rung several times and still they didnt answer it.

This place was awful from start to finish! We get to the hotel at 7pm and our rooms were not ready. The woman at the front desk told us their housekeeping staff was slow. She advised us to go have dinner and come back but when we returned at 10pm only some of the rooms in our group were ready. At first they told us to call hotels.com for a refund but then we were told they found an available room that was marked dirty but she assured us it was cleaned. NONE OF OUR ROOMS WERE CLEAN! We had hair all over the floor, dirt and sheets with old stains!! Outside of of our rooms looked and smelled like a project. All sorts of shady people hanging outside in the parking lot and in the hallways. We found out later that a halfway house and a correctional facility was nearby and sometimes they get the overflow. My room was saturated with the smell of marijuana. No towels, no toilet paper. There was just nothing good about this place!

Charged more when I got to the motel the guy at the check in counter absolutely rude was talking to me like I am stupid very rude and unprofessional got bunch of bug bites reported it to the manager she said she will be by the room her or the assistant manager I waited and waited then I called front desk and the representative working said they left for the day I’ve stayed a lot there in the past week

The staff was accomodating and polite. I had a few requests that were addressed promptly.

This terrible motel overbooked The rooms and when I arrived after driving 10 hours with 2 small children, they didn’t have a room for us! They were of no help, not apologetic at all, and it ended up costing us much more in last minute hotel fees.

I had a reservation and arrived to the front desk clerk JP constantly leaving & walking around avoiding the camera area to come back 10 minutes later to say that there are no rooms available, but took other people that didn’t have reservations and already paid for the hotel room in advance!

The outside of it doesn't look so great but the room was okay. But a lot of people that look like they were long-term hanging out there and possible drug dealing

The check in and check out was excellent. The staff was very professional. The only disadvantage was, the room that the gave us was on the side of the building closer to the Hwy. and I couldn't sleep.

You get what you pay for...Poor attitudes from front desk staff (admittedly, they had to deal with a couple entitled karens before me). Absolutely no ameneties that would be expected in a conference center room. (Coffee pot, minifridge or worktable) However, the worst part was the drain flies in the sink and shower. We will not be staying here again.
