Comfort Suites Oakbrook Terrace - Chicago West

The gym had all broken equipment. Really shouldn’t be advertising that they have one due to major safety hazards. The pool was closed for the first day and well into the afternoon of checkout day.

This property NEEDS a bunch of repair. The people were very nice, but the Property was terrible. We had to be moved at Mid Night as the A/C would not work. We found Drugs under the bed. They say that they have a pool, but they do not... They say they have a lounge... They do not. The elevator felt like it was going to crash. the people were nice, but the hotel is a mess... I am asking for a full return of my money. My 5 year old daughter even noticed how bad this place was.

Pool out of service. Had to get our own towels because the guy at desk said they were out. He just didnt want to leave the desk. Had some suspicious people in next room partyall nite with loud music

Well let’s start with was told could have early check in but that didn’t happen. Then was almost charged 2 times deposit fee had to show them it was already ran through. Then I noticed none of the doors locked so you really didn’t need key only for your room. Homeless outside in back lots trying to panhandle for cigs and money. All the doors you can walk in at any time locks were broke on back door and side doors. Very loud guest on floor we were on and above floor. Unless you like the smell of pot place wreaks of it. Police banging on door across from us waking up the baby. Last night staying we got home late from wedding and seen guy put on ski mask and jump balcony to get into sliding doors and then other women joining into that room. And to top that off neighboring room fellow snored so loud you could only hear that the entire night/morning.

Broken ice machine and vending machines. Propert older bed run down.

Dated, smelly, noisy. The pool was closed, the elevator was broken; nothing worked.

I stayed here for 3 days and not once did they clean my room. When I asked for cleaning, the staff gave me attitude instead of assistance. The room keys barely worked and had to be reactivated multiple times. No pool as advertised, the elevator was out of service, and none of the ice machines were working. Just one issue after another. I definitely would not recommend this place.

The ac in our room barely worked. The elevator stopped working no vending or ice machines worked. The breakfast was the only thing that was good about this hotel

I frequent this hotel often, some rooms are better than others. Specifically, the washroom, some are better than others. However, this room I’m currently in, (235) the bathroom needs a complete renovation. It has quite a lot of mold, it’s not up to par.

The pool did not work. The workout equipment was broken roaches in the room.

The room were nice but we ran into some roaches in the bathroom but other than that I love the stay.

Room was ok. Bathroom sink stopped up. We also seen a cockroach in the room.

Parking was congested the halls were dirty and my room had multiple flaws hair in the tub dirty carpet the list goes on me and my companion were so flustered from the horrible check in process and rude over night worker we decided not to talk to him about his service not to mention the room across the hall played loud erotic music from 11-4 am until I finally went downstairs to front desk to complain when I don’t understand how they didnt hear because I could still hear the music from the 3rd floor standing at the front desk

The hotel was clean and the room was clean. The carpet in the room smelled strongly like feet. The pillows in the bed were small. The area with the shower she toilet was very small. The sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable but we had a child sleeping on it so it wasn't horrible. The tv's didn't get tons of channels. The one tv were my child slept didn't get Disney but the area where we slept did. The hotel was in our budget the stay was overall ok, the guests were quiet and the hotel was in a good location to where we needed to go. We probably would stay there again but now we would know what to expect.

The room had roaches in it

Room needs to be more up to standards. Sink was clogged and cap was screwed off. Bathr drain assembly pops right out, not sealed to the tub. I had to clean out a crusty pce of food that was in the carpet, in the front room I found, as soon as I goy into the room.

I am writing to formally request an immediate refund for my stay at Comfort Suites in Villa Park due to the extremely unsanitary and unacceptable conditions I encountered. Upon checking into my room, I was appalled to find multiple health and cleanliness violations, including: * Bugs throughout the room * Stained furniture, carpet and bedding * Sticky residue on the walls * Disgusting smells and cigarette smell * Water dripping from the ceiling of mold and onto the floor This level of filth is entirely unacceptable and poses serious health risks. I immediately brought these concerns to the front desk, but no adequate resolution was provided. Due to the unsanitary conditions, I was forced to leave and seek alternative accommodations.

Place was overall clean, beds were perfectly made and super cozy. Bathrooms had blood stain on carpet, we put a towel on top so my kids wouldn't see it. We enjoyed the 2 tv's and we loved the doors between hangout area and bedroom so we could close them when kids were in bed. Breakfast was fun, making your own waffles but eggs and meet were gross, we weren't able to eat them but we got fruit, cereal and bagels. waffles were amazing.

The price was right and the location was convenient for where I was working. Cannot comment on breakfast because I leave before they start serving. Relatively clean, quiet, and a rather unique room configuration.

Hotel was priced right, room was large and clean. The breakfast was good with eggs and sausage. The negatives are thin walls and noisy traffic outside. My wife and I did not like the motion lights at all in the room. Kids running around in the halls on a school night which made no sense but this is more the fault of the parents than hotel. 7/10

Loved the suites. We had a separate area from the sleep area.

I value a good night sleep and comfortable bathroom facilities. The bed was very good......BATHROOM terrible the actual toilet was meant for children...extremely low and undersized for an adult. the bath exhaust fan extremely noisy LOUD better suits. The tub faucet leaked constantly. The shower head was full of calcium deposits and sprayed everywhere. the design of the room was good...desk...couch...tv BUT THE BATHROOM WAS TERRIBLE...BEWARE

I prefer that hotel and always stray there whenever I have to stay in Chicago. What we (the whole family) hated a lot these three lights that work with the motion sensor. they kept lighting on and off thew whole night so we could not sleep that night. the solution that the front office suggested is to cove the three sensors with a stick notes during night and remove. So we did so, then we had to uncover them to light on the space and cover them before sleeping... This is ridiculous. Next time please provide a plenty of these stickers in each room and tell your customers what to do to be able to sleep quietly

Bed wasn’t as comfortable bathroom was small

First of the customer service was very poor. The person at the front desk seem like he was vothered to answer questions. Elevator made me think i was gonna die and got stuck for a few seconds right at the 3rd floor. Key cards are wonky.

It was a nice hotel but my entire stay, I asked for a blanket and never received one. The night staff argued with me about it being in the closet so she followed me up to the room to “prove me wrong” and there was no blanket.. I spoke to different staff about the blanket for the pull out couch and everyone said they needed to talk to management about what to do…

The front desk staff was rude...asked for extended check out time, was told that they could only give 30 mins due to the fact that they were short on housekeeping staff.

I have been staying there lately a lot. I called service desk this morning around 7:30 am and I asked the lady if I can have a late check- out for 12:30 pm and she cut me off so rude and said no no late check outs because housekeeping has a busy day. I was speechless who says that to guest. 30 minutes was all I asked for. I even offered to pay. Who turns down money. When I check in and the black lady is there. Never an issue and she is really nice. Just because I book through Hotel.com I feel it’s horrible rooms. I had to complain about my room smelling like mildew.

My kids liked the continental breakfast in the morning. Granted the sausage tended to be dry and over cooked. Housekeeping service was nonexistent unless requested. During our 5-night housekeeping never came to change the garbage cans, make the beds or refresh the towels. it wasn't until the 3rd day that i had to ask for towels did, they come and replace those and empty the trash. They never made the beds like at typical hotels I have stayed at for work.

Stayed there for a month on a business trip. Really good breakfast every morning. The people at the front desk were respectful, respectable and kind. They clean and restock your room every three days which is great. I slept great. Word of advice, some of the lights in the room are on sensors which will come on when you move in your bed at night 😂 so a piece of dark tape might be needed to stop that. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. Four sets months out of the year I live out of a suitcase. Third is one of my favorite properties. very safe, quiet and has everything you need.

I’ve stayed at Comfort for years, this time wasn’t the best. I called down and spoke with the night clerk to have my room cleaned while I would be gone for 10 hours at school, he told me the room would be cleaned. Got back from school room hadn’t been cleaned! When I spoke to the clerk on duty they said the night clerk hadn’t written anything down, he said for me to put the towels outside the door and he would bring clean ones down. Well to my amazement that never happened either. I had to call down to the front desk about towels to take a shower, I was then told by a young lady to bring the towels down to the front desk to receive new towels. Yes No COMMUNICATION AT ALL! The next day I’m leaving out for school yet again I see the same night clerk, yes the one from the night before I said “ You never put my request in to have my room cleaned?” He says “He’s doing it right now”. Goes to a piece of paper pretending to write it down. I told him I also put the sheet on the door for the housekeeper as well. Him ok. I come back 6 hours later sheet still on the door. Might I mind yall my keys kept disabling everyday so I’m at the desk having them to reset them so I can get in my room as well. So now I go back up to the front desk the young lady that’s there was so nice I tell her the problems I’ve been having about house keeping and the night clerk and how the sheet is still on the door, and how the remnant been cleaned. She instantly got on the walkie talkie and let the housekeep

It was very good the staff was friendly whatever said was done right away.

Stay was great. Only issue was parking, they should tell people with trailers they should have other parking for them, cause they take up 6 space. And the maintenance man Glen was amazing ac wasn’t work and he fixed it for us. Will definitely stay here again,

We have stayed at many hotels in this area, and for the price this is by far the best one. It is easy access to the mall. There really is t much to walk to from here but if you have a car, this a prime location,

The parking wasn't an issue for us, but there weren't many spots. But we were able to find a spot each night we stayed. I liked the area because it wasn't far away from the places we needed to go to like the Premium Outlet in Aurora and downtown. We have visited Chicago MANY times and this area is going to be our #1 spot to book. This particular hotel had extremely friendly staff, my only complaint would be the bathrooms needing to be updated. There were a couple items in the room that were old and broken like a lamp, but we weren't there to be in the room, but out and about.

The room was clean and service was good. The staff provided good service and the amenities were great. No issues and location w as great.

One of the worst comfort inn hotels I have ever stayed in my life. Very dirty, smelly and poorly kept hotel. Breakfast was a big joke, not even juice was provided. Coffee was completely watered down

Well kept property. Good quality breakfast. Good value for money

Overall my stay was great. only a few complaints. The pool water looked merky. NEEDS CLEANING AND THE PHONE IN MY ROOM WAS NOT WORKING. HAD TO USE MY PERSONAL PHONE TO CALL THE FRONT DESK. Besides that i have no other complaints. The rooms were spacious and clean the service at the check in counter was wonderful breakfast was great lots of choices. Nice and quiet area.
