Room was spacious with 2 tv’s👍 paint peeling over heat/ac unit 👎 maid didn’t like me asking for towels. Said people normally let the front desk know and then they tell her👎 hotel advertised rooms cleaned daily- didn’t say you had to ask for it. Work out room was brand new and very nice👍 exact same food for breakfast every single day👎 coffee always available 👍 beds comfy👍location- basically nothing within walking distance. Hotel was kept clean and smelling nice. Pool water cloudy but a lot of people seemed to use it anyway 😬

Your staff were outstanding, food better than some places now (very kind man in the kitchen), though still could be more versatile (biscuits and gravy would have been a nice change). Pool needs repairs, the floor lamp in our room was unsafe; however, my husband repaired it by simply screwing it back together. Good location to everywhere we needed to go. Please check the elevator, felt so bad for the ladies that had to come get us off, reset and then it was back in use again. They should not have to do that - rather scary. My husband did suggest another chair at the table. Room 303 was for 2 people, yet you could not enjoy down time at the wonderful table and the couch for elderly people was something to get back up from. Would be appreciated to know ahead of time that you had to request room service for towels and such. With the A/C, towels did not dry for the next day's use. Would we stay again, just might.

The fitness center could use some work. Most of the smaller weights 8lb, 10lb, 15lb and 20lb were missing. Only one treadmill and one elliptical. There was a weight machine, but I really needed free weights. There were no towels and no water. Also, no mats and the floor was pretty dirty to sit or lay on for floor work. I could not get the tv's to work either.

Nice place looks like they're remodeling. No vending/snack area, just empty shelves. Room was large and clean and bed was comfy. No nearby dinning. Staff was fine but not the usual friendliness. Breakfast was good a few hot items.

This hotel is an excellent choice! It was clean, comfortable, the room was spacious and in excellently furnished. The staff was very polite and professional, and the amenities are exceptional. The only flaw was the elevator...it was functional, but not smooth, and was a bit unnerving. I mentioned it to the desk clerk, and she said that the elevator company had ordered a part to repair it. We come to Shawnee several times a year, and always try to stay at the La Quinta. It is our hotel of choice!

The hotel is very nice. Very clean very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was lovely and super helpful. A room was clean and comfortable, but smelled very strong of disinfectant. That would probably be my only complaint and it wasn’t that big of a deal.

We stayed at 4 La Quinta Inns from Pennsylvania to New Mexico. La Quinta Inn Shawnee, OK was by far the best. Large updated & clean room. Breakfast beat the rest too.

Mold was growing on the wall around the A/C unit. We were relocated to another room but the hotel management did not seem too concerned about the mold and health issues. The new room appeared to have the same problem but had just been painted over to hide the issue. Our new room was also smaller and we weren’t offered any refund or compensation.

The hotel was clean and well kept. The breakfast was good. The downside to the hotel is the noise. There is no sound isolation, so you can hear everything in the rooms around you and the hallway. There was a woman in the room next to us that likes to sing while showering, and we could hear her plain as day. Same when she used the hair dryer. It was sounded like she was in our room we could here everything so clearly.

I stayed on a Friday night. The hotels in the area were all very busy, some no vacancies. I chose this one for pool and hoped it had a Jacuzzi. Never found out as there were too many kids. Some type of group was there with like 20+ kids. My second floor room itself was nice. But kids were running up and down the hall between multiple rooms until at least 10 pm or later. Also, many guests had dogs. The dogs near my room kept barking all night like every 10 or 15 minutes. I called clerk around 11pm and he said he could move me to 3rd floor but there were dogs there too. He said it was very packed and a lot of dogs that night for some reason. The room itself, #224, I think, I had. It was nice and had a great view! Wish it was soundproof though. Lol There's a pond at the back of the hotel. Absolutely gorgeous view! Unfortunately, there was some garbage in the tree and surrounding area. Shower and amenities and bed all very nice. No food or drink downstairs. No water in vending machine on second floor. No food vending machine either. I didn't try breakfast, but I think they were supposed to have a Continental breakfast included. I figured it would have been gone anyway like everything else. Bad timing for my stay there. But it served it's purpose. I got a few hours of sleep before checkout and resumed on my traveling.

The room was huge and clean. Bed and couch were comfy. The view outside was gorgeous. Had a sitting area outside the pool for lounging in the sun. So. much. space! Great breakfast choices. Friendly and helpful staff. The black out curtains worked very well. Great place to stay! Will definitely use this hotel again.

The woman working through the night of 12/14/24 was extremely rude when we had to have our room key reset. She reset it 3x and. One of them worked. She walked down to use her master key to let us in and didn't say one word to us the entire time. I'm not apologizing that she had to work while she was at work!!

Had 2 rooms for 4 days. Heat didn't work in 1 room. Had to switch rooms. Blow dryer didn't work. After 2nd night of rooms not being cleaned was told i had to ask. So i did. The next day, they still didn't clean them. Asked a 2nd time for them to clean the rooms, we came back for our last night and they made 1 of the 2 beds. Left dirty towels on floor. No words. Service was horrible

From the moment we checked in our experience was fantastic! Realizing that I was in a medical boot from my recent surgery… The check-in Clerk upgraded our room in order to accommodate my request of a ground floor room! He was friendly and is a great asset to La Quinta! So very thoughtful!!! The hotel was very clean… well situated location wise and quiet. Breakfast was also great! We highly recommend this hotel!

Said people normally let the front desk know and then they tell her👎 hotel advertised rooms cleaned daily- didn’t say you had to ask for it. Work out room was brand new and very nice👍 exact same food for breakfast every single day👎 coffee always available 👍 beds comfy👍location- basically nothing within walking distance. Hotel was kept clean and smelling nice. Pool water cloudy but a lot of people seemed to use it anyway 😬

Not enough towels for the pool nor to give out after 7pm since there were so many people staying at the hotel. Smoking should be designated further than a few feet from the door. Not much for breakfast selection. And the bottom sheets were not soft, very rough and “bumpy”.

The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The only drawback was the elevator was out and our room was on the second floor and I am recovering from knee surgery. The clerk was very apologetic (not her fault) and offered a different hotel but we were tired and ready to call it a night! Breakfast wasn't the greatest, but our server was very attentive and was constantly checking on the food and guests.

I will never use hotels.com again to book a room. When we arrived we found the hotel under construction. We had to look for check in. The room smelled like paint. The promised breakfast was a “bag” breakfast. Water, blueberry muffin and a granola bar. I don’t like blueberry or granola. This biggest problem for me was no warning that the hotel was under construction. You have lost my trust.

This was a nice hotel and it’s centrally located near the center of town. More hotels are being built in the area and expanding as well. Easy to get in and out of the location. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room and they immediately moved us to another room with no problem.

The hotel is having an issue with the key cards. They decode at least once a day and have to be recoded. This is very inconvenient when arriving to the room late at night to a key card that doesn't work anymore and inconvenient when bringing breakfast to sleeping children and being unable to get in the room. I hope the problem can be fixed for other guests to have key cards that work consistently. The king bed in our room was bowed and felt like sleeping in a boat. My older son was supposed to sleep on the sofa bed but decided to sleep on the sofa because the sofa bed mattress was all springs. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The hotel was clean and well kept and the breakfast was delicious. We had a great stay!
