La Quinta by Wyndham Houma

Parking lot lights at night are very dangerous. Parking lot by pool a lot of lights are out. Hallways Valium cleaner could be passed. Public restrooms on first floor was very nasty. Toilet would not flush someone’s soil that was in toilet. Reported it several employees for 3 days and nothing was done. The room was very clean, everything in the room was working! Breakfast was excellent! Employees were very polite and friendly!

The staff at front desk is great but the people they work for are clearly sorry… every time I go here there is something broken (elevator,tv,pool, etc.). Always under some type of construction outside and never see any improvement! Not worth the money.

Service was ok. Bed was amazingly soft. Condition of property looks like remodeling. They don't mention their pool Is broken. Full of algae, green. On their website

When we checked in one of our sons had to use the restroom badly. The clerk said the restrooms on the main floor were out of order. He offered no other alternative and took his time getting us checked in. Luckily our son made to the room in time. The next morning, we went to get breakfast, only to find the main hallway covered in water. The staff had laid down sheets and pillow cases to try to absorb the water, which did little to no good. We had to walk across standing water to get to the dining area and then back to our room. The fitness area also had standing water in it. Honestly, the breakfast wasn't worth the trouble. There was very little coffee available with breakfast, at the time we went, which was 35 minutes after breakfast began. They had no butter and nothing but pure sugar for the coffee. As I am diabetic, this meant that I could get coffee at all. In the room I noticed that the door trim was stained a rusty brown color on one side. I don't know what made the stain but it was very obvious and it looked like no attempt was made to clean it. The bathroom door was separating at the bottom. It looked as though the last 8-10 inches was peeling away from the frame of the door. The room was in very poor condition and although we didn't pay a lot for this room, I feel this was not worth the money and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I am not one to leave bad reviews on a regular basis but this was a special situation. We will not stay here again.

Pool was a disaster. I cleaned it for them so my son could swim. Lots of homeless people hanging around.

Hotel was clean. Elevator didnt work. Ice ma hine didnt work. After check in thevlady sent me to the elevators to go to my floor only to discover a sign that said it didnt work on the first floor. Got to my room was next to the stairwell. The door would slam to the stairwell and the whole wall would shake. Bed was wore out. Sit on bed and felt like you sank to the floor. I expected a lot better for the lrice of this hotel.

Pool was open but it was a little dirty

The lobby smelled awful, and was flooded when we checked out. We had to swap rooms due to the first rooms’ bed being broken. Room floors needed to be vacuumed. Gym and both lobby restrooms were out of order for the entire stay. We had to ask for extra towels each day to each have 1 towel to use. It was a great price, but now I realize it was cheaper because it was considerably less nice than other hotels in the area.

Stayed 6 nights. The room was not serviced twice. Had to go down and ask for towels. The shower was pitiful and difficult to engage with the diverter. The water was verily warm. The rooms need updating. Carpeting in the hallway was stained.

The check in clerks leave much to be desired. The first lady we dealt with was polite but the clerk on our leave day didn't say a word. I came down stairs to grab a cart and the fridge door that contains milk was open. I walked passed the guy sitting in the dining room to close it and walked out. He never looked up from his phone. He sat there with a full bag of garbage and never even looked up from his phone. When we left a few hours later, I handed him our room keys and he still not a word. Not a simple "Have a nice day" or even a "Thank you for staying with us." Not a word. I don't need a whole conversation but simple politeness goes a long way. The breakfast was actually very nice. Bacon or sausage (they rotate days), eggs, fresh hashbrowns, and biscuits. Cereal choices. Yogurts and pastries. Fresh juice is also available. Pretty impressed with the breakfast. Oh and they have a waffle maker as well lol. The little older lady that was working the breakfast area was sweet, kept the area very clean, and kept fresh food out. Definitely always keep her around and make sure she gets a raise. Cleanliness definitely needs more attention. The carpet was nasty. I usually always keep socks on or some kind of slip on shoes. I forgot both when I went to shower. The carpet felt kind of greasy and matted and just gross. Over all, even tho the breakfast made up for A LOT, don't think we'll be back. We had a 2 night, 3 day stay and I wish I'd picked somewhere else.

My sheets on both beds were filthy,my bath tub was dirty from the last person who used the room ,spiders were crawling all along the wall,there is plenty of mildew in the bathroom ceiling!

Staff was really nice , but he property looks , smells and is dirty. Desperately needs a makeover. Rooms not the cleanest , stained towels and the lighting in the bathrooms are so bad it looks like a nightlight. Rooms smell musty. I had to change rooms because the tv was broke. Ran into another guest in the dirty elevator and she had numerous problems with her room I wouldn’t stay there again even though the location was good

When I requested towels I was informed that there was not enough towels and I can only get one even though I turned in and needed 3. The Shower barely had water trickling out for shower head. The 2nd floor hallway looks like it hadn’t been vacuum in months. Cleanliness is definitely an issue here. Every time I left my room my key would deactivate and I would have constantly go up and down to get the key activated. The Hotel is in a great location plenty of stores and restaurants around. They just need to put a few dollars into it for improvements

roaches, trash never picked up, entire facility smelled awful.

Mold in the bathroom and all over the shower curtain. Only 2 towels per double queen rooms. Can only get more towels if you bring in the dirty ones. Stains on sheets. Old food in the refrigerator.

One of the better La Quinta inns we've stayed at. We stayed in the King Suite. Spacious, clean, comfortable.

Tv didn’t work… elevators went out of order… no trash cans in room… AC didn’t work good

Comfortable and clean. A little noisy from the hallway since we were close to lobby.

Shower curtain very difficult to spread out and not wide enough for the tub/shower size. So water splashed out and if you are not careful when you get out of the tub you can slip and hurt yourself. A/C unit very very loud. Burnt out light bulds in the bathroom and also lamps.

We had a bathroom that leaked water, so they have us a different room. The shower needs an upgrade it is hard to take a shower without getting the floor wet.

Everything was great except we were not able to get TV for the night. After acquiring 3 remotes from the front desk, we still were not able to access TV. There was no IT person, so we were without TVfor our stay. Other than that , I’d come back. Lady at the desk was lovely, personable and helpful.

We’ve made this our stay location any time we come to this area. Very nice, clean, and friendly service.

Desk staff was never at the desk. They were in the little dinner watching videos on phone with headphones in. They had guests getting drunk in parking lot around lunch. They proceeded to have a fight outside our room. Even slamming into our door. Called the front desk and was simply told it is ok they are just drunk. Never staying here again.

Called 4 days before check in to see the policy on payment. No cash is accepted. I had opted to pay at hotel. The day of my arrival they attempted to charge a card, not one on account, three times!! I received emails. When I arrived at the hotel the clerk was not friendly which was very surprising since the person whom I spoke with previously was fantastic! I later discovered that she's the manager, Teresa. All employees need to follow her lead. Two of the days during my 7 day stay the fire alarm went off. Once at 5:30 am and once at 5:50. All false alarm's since apparently bacon was burning in the kitchen. Check out process was quick once someone came to the front. Wasn't asked about my stay or invited to come back? Guess this is not part of the friendly south. Overall the service/ assistance I received from the manager and the two ladies from housekeeping that I spoke to were fantastic. Room was nice and accommodating.The breakfast offered was good and offered multiple options. I wish it was served till 10 during the week. Would I stay here in the future YES.

Front desk was alright. Not friendly but accommodating. No smile or welcome at all on check in.

Our rooms were not cleaned each day, we were not communicated to that we had to request for them to be cleaned. Guy who checked us in was mot friendly, he barely said 7 words to us. Kisha, was very friendly and helpful

Every time we go to Houma we stay at this La Quinta. It is always an amazing and comfortable place to stay. The staff is phenomenal and extremely friendly.

The staff, especially Candace, are so sweet and helpful. I come about once a month and always stay here. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy and it's just a nice hotel.

The area the hotel is in smelled like there is waste water plant or sewer issue. The day shift staff is friendly and kind. The facility is in bad shape. The cleanliness of the place is poor. I don’t think it’s the fault of the workers. It may be the lack of enough staff. The place needs cleaning and maintenance from the bathrooms to the elevators to the stained carpets everywhere. I ordered off Expedia and was disappointed again!

great location, clean comfortable rms, great brkft, pool looked nice but closed for the season, didnt get a chance to used the gym but looked gd would stay there again

The check in was quick and easy. The room was also in good condition. I typically stay here when I come in to town and don't have any issues. It is in a great central location for my needs.

I always booked my room reservation in this hotel because of friendly staff and free breakfast! And very close to my training facility.

Pet friendly, clean, good breakfast, friendly staff

Everything was wonderful EXCEPT for the availability of fresh towels- we were missing a set upon check in but we were able to get additional ones the next morning. However, after the first nigh- we had to flag down housekeeping on the 2nd floor (we were on the 1st)and she was able to get 2 sets from an empty room& advised us to try to save /reuse because they were low on towels and other supplies (There are 3 of us). Breakfast was ok - first day there were no waffles because of no syrup and the second day of our stay a small bottle was on the counter to share. The room was spacious (King suite with pull out sofa) and the microwave and refrigerator was convenient.Overall, this was a good stay,just bring your own towels if you are bathe often as do we.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was exceptionally clean, beds were great to sleep on. AC and heat both worked great - yes, we used BOTH while we were there! Coffee was good. Breakfast was better than expected! Eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, yogurt, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, grits all were offered, along with a make your waffle station. Would go back again.

Was told there was no bread or milk because the truck was late. There is a grocery store less than 1mile go get some. Why put cereal out and no milk and be so cocky about it

My only bad thing to say is BREAKFAST. Again this morning the sausage was burnt and the breakfast potatoes were not cook all the way. Everything else is great. But a free breakfast,if that’s free just don’t serve at all
