Great communication from booking site regarding access to building, the room was on the very top floor with unfortunately no lift which if you have mobility issues then this may not be the place for you. The room is accessed by your personal access code which is displayed on the digital door handle, the room is fresh and very modern and surprisingly very quiet for its location. Very good qualty furnishings and well fitted modern kitchen and bathroom. This is a very good place to stay and definitely worth the money.

When I first arrived the room fan was extremely noisy - it would have kept me awake. Luckily I managed to turn it off. Evidently a filter needs replacing. After that the room was very nice. The instructions for entry were good enough but could have been clearer - I didn't have the app and it wasn't necessary. Rather a lot of stairs but nice being at the top.

I struggled with the building and immediate surroundings. Hard to find, 3 lots of key codes endless corridors and very impersonal. The flat itself was clean, nicely furnished and comfortable. It is in no way a hotel though and that is my main grip.

Stayed here from Australia as I was visiting family in the area. Note the are no staff in attendance at the property at all, apart from cleaning team in the morning. There is no lift & a narrow concrete stairwell going up to the apartments. Mine was on the top floor, 6 flights! Entrance to the property is in a dark back alley in a night club area that is noisy at the weekend - leading to the no aircon/open window dilemma. Generally okay, but wouldn't stay again.

Excellent location, tidy and clean. Parking takes a bit of working out and more advice beforehand would have helped. Comfy bed and great facilities in the studio. The heater was a bit awkward having only 2 settings, off and volcano. There was no way to adjust because the controls were locked. All in all an excellent choice once you've worked out the virtual front desk. If you are booking with Expedia check all the emails for your entrance code. They sent me 7 different emails and I missed the most important one

The heater was a bit awkward having only 2 settings, off and volcano. There was no way to adjust because the controls were locked. All in all an excellent choice once you've worked out the virtual front desk. If you are booking with Expedia check all the emails for your entrance code. They sent me 7 different emails and I missed the most important one

A good central location with parking about 200m away. Easy contactless check-in. The property was generally in very good condition, except some damage to the sofa cushion and a blind pull was unattached. Good bed, excellent shower and large TV. Some welcome gifts (tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, spounge) were very helpful. The room was made up each night too which I didn't expect. Overall very good and perfect for my business stay.

Shower was incredibly boiling hot so couldn’t be used. I was unable to make it colder at all. I found the check in code system ok but arriving in the dark, even at 6pm on my own as a woman didn’t feel very safe. A lot of enclosed spaces and being on the 4th floor, I had to spend time in the stairwell. I wouldn’t stay here again as a lone woman. The room was nice and clean and spacious. Just a very odd vibe. I would have been reassured by cct surveillance. 8 mins walks to station. A taxi company very close by.

Great apartment but some flaws. Wifi is terrible, which means TV doesn’t work at all. Relies 100% on streaming. Heating difficult to regulate and no instructions. Stairwells and corridors reek of cannabis - no reception means people can do what they like.

We stayed over for just 1 night. Entry was very simple with the private code to access locks. Our flat was lovely and very clean and looked after. I was amazed with how big the flat was! Mattress on bed super comfy. Would have loved it to be king size but double was ok. It gets quite noisy from nearby club but didn’t bother us.

Marygate is the best hotel in Wakefield its clean,decor is all done to a high standard the bedding and towels are cleaned every day the staff are very accommodating nothing is too much trouble highly recommend 😀 👍 👌

Was worried after seeing the outside and corridors to the room but no need to as the rooms are very very nice. Good size and very clean. Would stay again for sure.

It was a lovely stay away from home. Would definitely visit again. The only downside was no Aircon. The windows do a good job blocking out the sound from outside considering the hotel is right in the city centre. No noise came through but it meant the flat was too warm. It should be fine once it's winter. Apart from that, it was a lovely apartment and I'd choose it over a traditional hotel.

Excellent communication from the staff. Pretty and clean apartment. Whatever I needed zach went above and beyond for me. Based right in city centre so close to everything. I will definitely be back. Really happy with my stay. Thank you again so much to zach and the team for making my 3 week long stay a home away from home.

Apartment was really spacious looked good, was clean, nice little kitchen area. However. One blind didn't have a working chain so I had to pull it down by the blind itself, the other was too short so didn't come down far enough to cover the full window so we had to put the comforter from the bed to fill the gap. There was some sort of fan or extractor in the ceiling but no switch seemed to turn it off. ( I assume faulty as our friends apparentment was ok) It was really loud and made getting to sleep an issue. I messaged about the fan on arrival but didn't receive a reply so we had to just deal with it. In the stairwell , the first flight had a bit of the wall that juts out over the banister. On walking up these stairs after returning in the evening I smashed my head off it. I think a sign or something hazard tape would help, bit of a shock. No concussion but a sore one. Overall relatively nice but small things let down the experience when they build up.

It was a lovely stay away from home. Would definitely visit again. The only downside was no Aircon. The windows do a good job blocking out the sound from outside considering the hotel is right in the city centre. No noise came through but it meant the flat was too warm. It should be fine once it's winter. Apart from that, it was a lovely apartment and I'd choose it over a traditional hotel.

Stayed here from Australia as I was visiting family in the area. Note the are no staff in attendance at the property at all, apart from cleaning team in the morning. There is no lift & a narrow concrete stairwell going up to the apartments. Mine was on the top floor, 6 flights! Entrance to the property is in a dark back alley in a night club area that is noisy at the weekend - leading to the no aircon/open window dilemma. Generally okay, but wouldn't stay again.

Excellent location, tidy and clean. Parking takes a bit of working out and more advice beforehand would have helped. Comfy bed and great facilities in the studio. The heater was a bit awkward having only 2 settings, off and volcano. There was no way to adjust because the controls were locked. All in all an excellent choice once you've worked out the virtual front desk. If you are booking with Expedia check all the emails for your entrance code. They sent me 7 different emails and I missed the most important one

Shower was incredibly boiling hot so couldn’t be used. I was unable to make it colder at all. I found the check in code system ok but arriving in the dark, even at 6pm on my own as a woman didn’t feel very safe. A lot of enclosed spaces and being on the 4th floor, I had to spend time in the stairwell. I wouldn’t stay here again as a lone woman. The room was nice and clean and spacious. Just a very odd vibe. I would have been reassured by cct surveillance. 8 mins walks to station. A taxi company very close by.

Very central and good quality. Plenty of room and very clean. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. Used a parking app to park in the Wilko car park abut 10 minutes away. No lift and was on the third floor which was a bit of a pain. Would certainly stay again.

I’ve said previously this is a very good apart hotel. This time, we went for a cheaper room which was in okay. But some bits let down the bargain room: damage to the bed side, stains on the carpet and cups stained from so long use they simply need replacing. I think this would cost less than £100 to fix. Spend it!

Had a pleasant stay here and I extended by two additional weeks. It's in a prime location with decent enough sound-proofing and the staff are kind and considerate. Thank you Zach, Maggie and Marygate by Deuce team for hosting me. Overall, good value for money and a positive experience. Would recommend.

This is a surprising wee gem. The entrance is dire in appearance as are the stairs and hallways, but the actual apartments are excellent. They are clean, well equipped and with very good showers. Once inside you’re in a very comfortable small apartment. This is our second stay in one and we’d happily commend them as ideally located in central Wakefield with free overnight parking nearby from 4pm and after 6pm if you get another evening ticket it lasts until 10am.

Great unit right in the heart of the city centre. The only fault that comes from this, is the noise from people at the pub. There was also no parking available, however as I had not asked that was on me.
