Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham

This gets 4 stars because it was fairly clean and it was convenient as we were traveling on I-90 towards Ohio. It was nothing special, but for an overnight stay it was fine. It was pretty close to main street, had ample parking, offered light breakfast fare and was quiet.

The elevator and vending machines did not work. The bathroom floor did not appear very clean there were alot of cobwebs and could use to be updated. The staff were friendly during check in and check out. It sufficed for one night. If staying longer I would suggest looking for a different hotel

I likeed the pancake machine, it was Kool even though I am a waffle person. Was a little disappointed that it said a pool was there but wasn't. The exercise room was great.

Nice hotel. Close to casino and outlet mal. Continental breakfast could have more options. Fitness room under construction. Hallway carpets and mattress could be replaced but nice room. Pretty area though with a few fast food/gas options

We stayed for one night and it was good. It's a typical motel. We were happy with the location and cleanliness of the room. If you're going to del Lago Casino, it's a perfect location with the drive being about 5 minutes away. Nothing stays open late around here so by the time we got back to our room we wanted something to eat. Luckily there was a pop machine and snack machine onsite.

Not sure how a hotel which is listed as 3.5 stars or any number of stars for that matter runs out of towels. We were told to put our used towels out in the hall for replacements but they never got replaced. Never saw a maid in the hotel During the course of our 3-nite stay. The hallway carpets were badly stained all over not very inviting. As bass fisherman we are not looking for anything fancy, but a clean place with towels is always appreciated. The power kept failing as well which presents an issue when trying to recharge your boat batteries. Oh and for $189+tax per nite you would think a refrigerator would be included in the room. Had to pay an extra $10 to get the front desk guy to deliver one. On a positive note the ice machine kicks out cubes for days and the bed was comfortable.

Everything was clean and in good condition excepting a leak from the water knob to the toilet. In the morning there was a small puddle of water on the floor. We also were out of tissues and had to ask for a replacement box. They quickly brought it and were cheerful about it. No fridge or microwave or phone to talk to front desk. Couldn't reach the hotel via phone to inquire about our reservation. We had to drive there to talk to someone. They were accomodating when we did get there and were able to speak in person.

Our bad luck really, but we were in a room near an outer door and it just so happened that on the night of our stay, there was a big crew of fishermen (and their boats in the parking lot ) and they were in and out of the building all night till about 4am (beer runs and relief runs im guessing). Anyway two entry door opening and closing every 5 to 10 mins was a bit disruptful to sleeping. Im sure the thin walls and doors to our room didn't help. Get what u pay for i guess.

This property does not look like the pictures! It is severely in need of updating, which they look to be putting in new carpet as we speak. Our room was clean however the carpet was stained and although it was a non smoking room it smelled of stale cigarettes. The fitness room was just an empty room. No equipment. The continental breakfast was just bagels, cereal and yogurt. On our final day there was one lone banana. There also was no one monitoring who came or went. It is not key entry and we walked past the desk several times with no one even observing who was coming and going. It was a safe neighbourhood though. It did have ample parking.

The carpet in the room was absolutely filthy. The beds were comfortable. There was no maid service once we checked in for the 3 day stay. So disappointing. Won’t stay in a Microtel again.

The room was adequate but I found a blood sucking insect in my bed. A bed bug?

When we got to our room I checked for hair. There was hair in bathtub. Then dried up blood on blanket.

I had a good peaceful stay every was clean

While check in was easy and staff was nice, the hotel smells musty like smoke and the room has very strong cleaner odor. When looking over the room, we noticed the bed sheet is ripped, toilet not cleaned well, sink has little hair clippings around the faucet. Overall not happy

The hotel smelled moldy. The exterior had weeds, mold was on the exterior siding.

The staff was friendly but from the minute you drive up the exterior's deferred maintenance evokes a downtrodden feel. Pull the weeds, power wash the siding, repair the sidewalks. Basic attention to detail would make a huge difference. It doesn't take a huge investment to create a welcoming streetscape. This place doesn't have it.

I found a bedbug in my room and had to leave but the person at the front desk was very kind and made sure I got a refund.

Microtel? More like Microhell! Dirty stained linens. Gross carpet. Outdated room and cracked bathroom sink. We could hear the upstairs occupant stomping around.

Check in and out went smoothly. Very clean room. My only issues were the room was TINY! Like really tiny. No small refrigerator or anything and no usb charging ports. Very expensive for what it is, not sure if id stay at a Microtel again without doing a little research.

This hotel is good for an overnight stay. Clean and the staff was friendly. There are no extra frills here. The walls are very thin so you hear everything going on in the room next to your room, the people inbthe hallways and the rooms above you as well. Wifi is very spotty and not reliable.

This property would greatly benefit from a thorough renovation. During our stay, we experienced significant noise disturbances while staying on the first floor, as tenants on the second floor—particularly teenagers—were running, jumping, and shouting after 11 p.m. On a positive note, both the manager and customer service team were understanding and responsive to our concerns. Breakfast was included; while the selection was limited, it was acceptable given the price point.

Tv didn’t work. The place needs work. Condition is poor.

Shower water never got hot. Hotel had no internet

The room did not have a good smell when you entered. The TV remote did not work unless you were standing. The TV is above the closet.

Mary was a great and friendly receptionist. The room was very small, but we had everything we needed. Our only actual complaint was the luggage cart, not a good 1st impression, one wheel was broken and another flat. It was worth 3 trips to the car with luggage, etc, not to have to use it again.

The hotel was fine. Intend to rate hotels lower by a star if the rooms don’t have USB ports. Travelers today have phones, motorcycle helmet communicators and hearing aids. A lot of devices that need to be charged.

The room was a lot smaller than it appeared online. It was very noisy. People in the hallway sounded like they were right in your room. The next-door neighbor had their alarm clock going off at 7 o’clock this morning for 45 minutes and their breakfast was onion bagels, a tiny yogurt and juice.

Convenience Was key, staff was very helpful

Came to check in, two women at the counter getting an additional room key, waited behind them. When he finished with them, he turned and went back in the office and sat down. No acknowledgement I was even standing there!!!! I’m 6’4, he surely saw me. I moved over where he could see me again and got “did you want to check in”, almost like he was annoyed to get up.

Excellent friendly staff

When I arrived at 3pm, there were a *lot* of people checking in at the same time. One gal, new on the job, was running the whole show. Her manager (or coworker) had an emergency, I believe, so she had no back up. She handled the crowd beautifully I thought - kept the line moving, offered apologies for any inconvenience, was thorough, and best of all, kept her cool! Was sorry that I didn't catch her name. When I checked out the following morning, I sang her praises to the reservationist (manager?) on duty.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I got there one hour before check-in. The hotel Clark told me for $20. I could check in early. I decided to grab lunch. I fully understand this policy. When we got back, there was a different clerk. Our TV was broken. Our room was moved From the second floor to the first floor. About an hour after turning in the keys to the lady at the front desk, I was in my room and someone tried to gain entry. I had the safety lock on the door and then went up to the front desk. Going to find out it was the front desk lady saying that I had had someone else in the room I was moved from When I got there. There was a police officer waiting for me when I told her this she argued with me over the room number. I was moved from after looking at the original paperwork. She realized that it was a different room not the one that I had previously been occupied in I was sent asked by the police officer for identification, even after he found out, it was not my room that somebody else was in. I was never given an apology or anything or an explanation until I went to the front desk, the front desk clerk open the door said hello I replied with hello, not knowing it was her proceeded to the front desk. The police officer was there asked me for identification, and like I said earlier, everything was ironed out, but I was not even given an apology for the harassment I was put through. I will never stay at this Microtel again I was treated very poorly and unfair.

Very unprofessional staff

They over booked the hotel and we had NO PLACE TO STAY!! Our reservation was clearly marked BOOKED thru hotels.com They seemed like they didn’t even care. The man behind the counter with multiple earrings was indifferent about our issue.

In a 4 person room we only had 2 of each towel & washclothes. We were there for 3 days (Thurs-Sunday). I had to ask for towels and told I had to give them our dirty towels. But then they didn’t have enough washcloths. All I asked for was towels to get us through our stay. I’ve never had such difficulty getting clean towels. Very frustrating when we were in and out a lot and one day I failed to get towels for the next day. Normally there are plenty of towels at hotels where we never need to ask for them. Go to the front desk and they tell me to see the laundry person for towels. I’m the guest running around trying to get towels for our room for the next day and everyone pushing me off to someone else. We were in a double queen with only 2 towels.

We arrived to check in and were not greeted by the front desk they just came up and said license and credit card. They proceeded to check us in and give room keys however when we got to the room the door was not closed and the room have garbage and obviously hadn’t been looked at since the last guests. We went back to the front desk and there were no apologies they said oh and gave us a new set of room keys. Overall, we were disappointed that the staff seemed annoyed we were there and being set to a room that is not made up is just unacceptable especially with no acknowledgment of any wrong doing.

It was perfect for our overnight stay. We had a concert at the casino. It was close, affordable and comfortable. We got breakfast in the common room and ate in our room. Bonus!

Have stayed a few times now because it’s so close to Del Lago and very reasonably priced for what we need !!

Hotel location is right in middle of all local stores and gas stations. Can’t go wrong at this Hotel!

Easy check in and check out, clean room, calm area, good A/C, breakfast ok but missing some items on monday morning. I would of like to have a mini refrigerator in the room. Nothing is close by. You have to take your car to go to restaurant or visit the area.

Easy access to NYS Thruway (Route 90). Plenty of places nearby to eat and shop and explore local history.

Its location was perfect for us. We always stay here when when in the area.

The stay was comfortable, yet the breakfast leaves something to be desired

The food choices at breakfast were very limited. No milk for the cereal, only 2 hard-boiled eggs when there were 4 of us. Coffee was hot & good.

The continental breakfast was gone 1 hour and 15 minutes before their end time. No bagels left at all. Only stale cereal and a couple oranges. The coffee was empty. The place needs a good cleaning. Our room was ice cold upon arrival and looked dirty.

Nice. Staff was nice. Room was nice and simple. Perfect for quick trip to a wedding at the Venosa Vineyards. Save a lot being only 8 miles away

Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet left much to be desired. Only hot item were pancakes made by a machine which were luke warm at best.

Room was clean and comfortable but we had virtually no hot water for showers in the morning. Breakfast was also virtually non-existent. Water was leaking through the hallway ceilings. But the coffee was good.

Checked in fine and put our belongings in room. Left hotel and when we returned later in evening and laid on the bed near the window, it was horrible. The mattress was so bad when you laid down, you rolled to the middle of the bed "Continental breakfast" was a joke. Got to the breakfast room at 8:30 a.m. and the pancake maker (pancake made on a conveyer belt) was non-functional. Desk clerk came to fix it which took about 10 minutes. Breakfast items consisted of two onion bagels and four cinnamon/raisin bagels, and no bread for toast. Fruit consisted of one banana and three dried up oranges. Dry cereal in a plastic container. (No eggs). Hotel staff never came in to see if more supplies needed to be brought into breakfast room. We were a party of five adults (2 rooms) and that certainly wasn't the hotel continental breakfast we have had at other hotel chains.

The hotel was a great value for the price. Definitely plan on getting breakfast somewhere else dont count on the included breakfast.
