The room itself is good, there are many amenities including a Keurig, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. Some of the windows don't work well but the sound of the creek rushing by is soothing. We loved sitting out by the creek and the fire. We had a bbq there too. Our host helped me recover my lost item and I really appreciated that. Check in was easy and the walk into town was really close to town.

We came to Nevada City to visit family, the Creekside Hideaway was the perfect accomodation for us. We are active seniors and enjoyed the easy access of downtown NC restaurants and shops. The studio apartment had everything we needed. It's unusual to find a King bed in a studio. The mattress was very comfortable with great linens and the outdoor patio by the creek was a place we enjoyed coffee and evening cocktails. We felt safe and secure I had some technical difficulties with my VRBO app, but their technical support helped and I was able to contact the owner, Robert with very quick responses from a few questions we had. Aside from a couple very minor issues that have been communicated with the owner our stay was great!

The location was very convenient to downtown with on-site parking. The place is outfitted very well like a foothills cabin should be. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is just enough for a continental breakfast and to keep some supplies cool. Breakfast on the porch is nice (although the porch area could use a power wash and some new cushions). It was very pleasant, hearing the creek (and a bit of traffic noise). I'd stay there again!

It's an older property but it had everything we needed including AC and wifi. We appreciated how easy it was to get in and out of the house, the parking, and the location. The location was absolutely perfect for our downtown Nevada City weekend. We would come back.

The Cabin is really sweet. It’s a great location to explore Nevada City. It’s the perfect size for a couple. The inside could use a little fleshing up. The cabin is above a river which is really nice, you can hear the river from inside which is so nice. The outside of the property is a little cluttered. A bunch of wood frames are thrown outback and the sitting area by the river shown in the picture is worn out looking. The bed is a great size but it’s soft with a big dip in the middle of the bed. It needs a new bed. I have to be honest I still liked the place, it quaint . Make the improvements and it will be spectacular!

I was concerned that this property was located too close to Hwy 49 but it really didn't become an issue. Deer Creek was flowing well and the sound of the creek had a great effect on our relaxing retreat. Property is compact but great for a long weekend and in a perfect location as the whole of Nevada City and numerous trails are just a few step away from the front door. Really enjoyed ourselves just relaxing on the patio, deck or walking around.

Great location, easy check in. Property is a bit worn & can use an exterior cleaning. Close to highway so expect some traffic noise when windows are open. With windows closed it was fairly quiet.

I loved the location of the property! We were able to walk into the historical district every day to look around or get something to eat. There was also a little path behind the cabin where we could see the river. There were complimentary snacks and poop bags for the dogs. I also liked how the door would lock automatically. The only downside was that the place was much smaller than we initially thought and some furniture and appliances were a little outdated. Overall, it was a lovely stay and the property managers were very nice.

This was our first visit to Nevada City and we loved the town and the region. The Creekside Cottage is a very short walk to town. The cottage is located over the creek which is beautiful. You can hear the roar of the creek although it is not too visible from the cottage. Everything in the cottage was super clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. Nice towels and good shower. Charming and historic details. In fact i wish the owners provided information about the history of this sweet little place. Be aware that the kitchen is a kitchenette and although listed as having an oven it only has a toaster oven. We had planned on cooking to prepare for a family gathering so this caused us to have to alter our plans.

I come to Nevada City once a year for a break with my two dogs. we hike the gorgeous trails, 8 and the amazing restaurants, shop for some used books, and stay at the Creekside hideaway. it's a loveliest place I've ever stayed. simple, calm, quiet, and just at the edge of all the hustle and bustle of the town. I feel safe, it's clean and comfortable, and they're rushing of the creek is so soothing. easy communication with a hosts, everything listed is there, I just love this place!

I was in town for a small conference and I’m so glad I stayed here instead of the hotel on the main drag. My colleagues there complained about the noise, partying, vomit in trash cans, etc. This VRBO place was just a few blocks away but no noise other than soothing sound of the creek and occasional car. It wasnt fancy but clean and comfortable. The window blinds didn’t completely cover the windows (I’m used to hotel like curtains) but it wasn’t an issue. Would not hesitate to stay here again if I get back to Nevada county!

The photo is misleading, no fire bowl. It’s severely in need of some TLC. Kitchen faucet leaks, how do you wash dirty dishes in the sink when that’s where the dish drainer is?There is no light fixture over the dining table, the lighting is in sufficient, only two bulbs in a three bulb fixture in the bathroom, no tissue, no water pressure in the shower, the TOO small toilet seat is stupid and rude, the bathroom needs scrubbing and paint along with the exterior and porch.

This is literally our little slice of paradise! We have stayed here before and will absolutely stay here again! The location is absolutely PERFECT! Walking distance to everything! It’s the little things for us…the little snack basket, firewood for the fire pit, an umbrella for rainy day strolls. Quiet, clean, perfection!!

Outside is a little rustic looking; updated and very nice on the inside. Great location! Shower is a step below the rest of the cabin but, it's clean and works. This was a great find and well worth a repeat trip.

We had an excellent time staying here. The creek was very nice to hear and it was nice and comfortable staying in the cabin. Huge comfy bed. Also surprisingly good soundproofing in the cabin itself.

We liked the location by the stream, even though the highway is close by its nice to just sit outside and listent o the stream and watch the birds and the ducks in the stream. The rental was decent. No major complaints other than the AC is a bit lacking, and the wifi did not work, The bed was super comfortable, and the rental size is perfect for a couple. Would definitely stay again.

The property is smaller than the photos make it to be. It is a Studio not a one bedroom. The sounds of the creek were pleasant but we did not feel comfortable with the windows open at night therefore did not have the tranquil sound. The window that would not be accessible from the outside was not able to open. I understand why as it was very high from the ground but would have been nice to be able to use for ventilation and ambiance of the creek.The sleepy little town and shops typical open at 11:00AM so that was a bummer as it was quite hot making going to town in the afternoons uncomfortable. Overall it was a pleasant and quiet stay.

As advertised. Very comfortable king bed and bedding which was good for watching TV. 2 blocks from the main street of town but still private and overlooked the river. Good place to potty the dogs at end of Cabin St. It was perfect for our needs and we would stay again.

The room itself is good, there are many amenities including a Keurig, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. Some of the windows don't work well but the sound of the creek rushing by is soothing. We loved sitting out by the creek and the fire. We had a bbq there too. Our host helped me recover my lost item and I really appreciated that. Check in was easy and the walk into town was really close to town.

The Creekside Cabin is perfectly situated within a block of picturesque downtown Nevada City and overlooking Deer Creek. So comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay here again while visiting Gold Country. Bob was communicative and check in/out was easy.

Such a cute little place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in and out were seamless and the place had everything we needed. The owner was very easy to reach for the occasional question. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for comfortable, private accommodations within easy walking distance to Nevada City.

I come to Nevada City once a year for a break with my two dogs. we hike the gorgeous trails, 8 and the amazing restaurants, shop for some used books, and stay at the Creekside hideaway. it's a loveliest place I've ever stayed. simple, calm, quiet, and just at the edge of all the hustle and bustle of the town. We came to Nevada City to visit family, the Creekside Hideaway was the perfect accomodation for us. We are active seniors and enjoyed the easy access of downtown NC restaurants and shops. The studio apartment had everything we needed. It's unusual to find a King bed in a studio. The mattress was very comfortable with great linens and the outdoor patio by the creek was a place we enjoyed coffee and evening cocktails. We felt safe and secure I had some technical difficulties with my VRBO app, but their technical support helped and I was able to contact the owner, Robert with very quick responses from a few questions we had. Aside from a couple very minor issues that have been communicated with the owner our stay was great!

I loved the location of the property! We were able to walk into the historical district every day to look around or get something to eat. There was also a little path behind the cabin where we could see the river. There were complimentary snacks and poop bags for the dogs. I also liked how the door would lock automatically. This property/cabin was perfect for our short visit.1 block off old town, easy walking distance. Visited Washington(town) off 49 to the north and back down to Grass Valley. Nevada City still has an old town feel to the old town area. A little disappointed in Grass valley, it's lost that. Sure the buildings are old but the closure and modernization of old town just lost a lot of appeal for me.

The place is small for a home. You have to think of it more as a hotel. Loved the sound of the river rushing by. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had a microwave and a toaster oven. No real cooking can be done. But on a trip I don’t care about cooking. Also a small refrigerator and sink. Has a Krug (sp) coffeemaker. Coffee for it is provided. Would stay again

This was our first visit to Nevada City and we loved the town and the region. The Creekside Cottage is a very short walk to town. The cottage is located over the creek which is beautiful. Charming and historic details. In fact i wish the owners provided information about the history of this sweet little place. Be aware that the kitchen is a kitchenette and although listed as having an oven it only has a toaster oven. We had planned on cooking to prepare for a family gathering so this caused us to have to alter our plans.

The location was very convenient to downtown with on-site parking. The place is outfitted very well like a foothills cabin should be. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is just enough for a continental breakfast and to keep some supplies cool. Breakfast on the porch is nice (although the porch area could use a power wash and some new cushions). It was okay. The biggest advantage of this cabin is the location. If you value being within easy walking distance of beautiful downtown Nevada City and its shops and restaurants, this is a great spot.However, if you're looking for a secluded cabin experience, this is definitely not it. The neighboring properties are very close, and privacy is limited. On the positive side, you can hear the river running nearby, which is very relaxing.Unfortunately, the outdoor patio area shown in the listing was not well maintained during our stay. I had to clean the grill before using it because it had been left dirty by previous guests (I made sure to clean it afterward). The outdoor furniture was also disappointing—there were only two small cushions stored inside, and the patio wasn't particularly comfortable or inviting.One of the things we were most looking forward to was enjoying a summer evening around the fire pit. Sadly, shortly after we started a fire in the provided pit, a neighbor came over to complain about the smoke and asked that we put it out. Not wanting any conflict, we complied, which was disappointing since relaxing by the fire was one of the main reasons we chose this property. I ended up grilling our dinner by the light of my cell phone instead.Lighting was very poor and it was only moderately clean (cobwebs etc) Disappointed. For the price there are better choices.

A little slice of heaven in Nevada City. This sweet little cabin was like a home away from home, basically a few steps from the communal café and the village. With the gentle sound of the creek flowing just outside and surrounded by trees, we were really able to let the worries of the world disappear.It's an older house, but that's part of it's charm. Clean and cozy. Two car parking, which was a bonus!We will return since it's just down the hill from where our kids live, so very convenient for when we come visit. Thanks!

Lovely setting with the sound of rushing water and view of tall trees. Clean and tidy inside. Ample towels and supplies. We only had one night this time. I would love to spend more time there in the future. Outside is classic Nevada City with unique little yard in levels going down the hill toward the creek. Yard is definitely not disabled-friendly however. Easy walk to town.
