Unique property with two-floor onsite art gallery. Enjoyed walking the gallery after a very long drive, and was inspired by the themes of its featured art. Valet parking was convenient. Valet even charged my Tesla while parked.

No pool which would have been nice in the oppressive heat & the bar closed incredibly early so we were not able to utilize the nightcap coupons on the property which was a complete letdown as we were looking forward to the complimentary beverage as well as spending money at the bar since it was located on property and would have been a wonderful experience. Other than that, I highly recommend!

Dwight was the one person who made the hotel a 5 vs the overall 4 we gave it. He was extremely helpful in all situations Front desk attendants were not that helpful or seemed to always be “busy” $32 a night for valet parking was ridiculously high for the price for guest that stay there. Might even be a reason I would not return.

The art gallery was fun. Parking was rough but I chose to do valet and that took care of it. It was pricey but worth it to not have to battle finding parking in the area. The hotel was beautiful and so fun and unique. Close to everything!

I returned to my room prior to my checkout time to shower and gather my belongings. I entered to discover that all the bedding had been removed and the carpet was dripping wet from a carpet cleaning. They decided to do this work while I was still occupying the room. The staff was practically useless. Despite helping me move to an adjacent room so I could shower and pack, they seemed to think I should have noticed in a dark room that the carpet was soaking wet before I dropped my things down. When checking out a few minutes later, they had me stand and wait without asking how I wanted the bill sent to me. However, they did ask how I wanted to pay for the minibar item. Poorly capable and trained staff. Also, the on-premises restaurant never returned a call I made to book a large table for an event.

Very clean, great spacious room with 20 foot ceilings. The bed was soft and the room was quiet. I really like this place I will definitely stay here again when I’m in Louisville. The location is perfect also. I would skip the bar even though the waiters were great the food was way overpriced for average food. Many great places in walking distance.

From the time we walked in to this property the staff was amazing! Anya checked us in and was very friendly and gave us some great food recommendations. This property is quiet and clean. The museum/art aspect is a wonderful piece to the hotel. This property is within 2 blocks of the Louisville Slugger and Mohammed Ali Center...super continent! We would absolutely stay here again!

The 1st night in 21c Museum Hotel Louisville was bad experience because we were bite by unknown bug in the bed. On June 28, after we showed the staff the cited evidence included the bug body and picture on the my back skin, the staff said the hotel will compensate one night charge to expedia.ca, please advise how we can get one night refund.

The hotel and the hotel staff were both excellent. We appreciated the friendliness of every staff member we encountered and the aesthetics of the entire hotel. Our room was very clean, comfortable, appealing and so quiet. We were very pleased with our stay.

Very friendly, clean, and safety is a priority. The museum was lovely to wander. The restaurant was delicious. Rooms were well maintained. Bed was extremely comfortable and the price was perfect. I felt like we received more than what we paid for.

Offbeat elegance with just a touch whimsy we throughly enjoyed the 21C. Room was spacious and comfortable and oh so quiet. We loved roaming the galleries and were entertained by the random Penguins. The restaurant was excellent and the staff in the bar and restaurant were stellar. The location was excellent as well.

The 21c was, as always, a unique property with an awesome bar/restaurant. The biggest complaint was the noise level from room to room. We could hear people sneezing, snoring, yawning, and simply talking to each other at a normal volume/tone. The walls were PAPER thin…this is not something you would expect for the price of this property. The front desk also did not inform us of some of the perks of the hotel at check-in (coupons, drink specials, etc); we inevitably learned of these through another guest that we happened to meet in the lobby.

Very comfortable bed and great shower. Quiet room. Terrific location walking distance to many places downtown. Would be a five star but for absence of good workspace in room (no desk). Not an issue for non-business travel, but if you need to work in the room, there is not a good comfortable place to do so.

Our room was facing the interior of the hotel so our view was of the hotel walls. There was no view at all so it’s good that we were only there for an overnight stay but I would have expected more for the expensive price. Also there were a lot of people there for picture taking for the room and they were very loud. They were promptly told to leave the hotel. Also there was an event that night so it was quite noisy in our room until 11 pm. It was quiet after that time. We stayed at another hotel prior to 21C and were on the 18th floor with a river view which was fantastic and we should’ve stayed there the last night. Instead we wanted to experience this one also for the museum but the display was a disappointment at this time. I am sure that changes though. The front desk staff was nice and they even held the door for us each time we arrived and also was very helpful with parking. I read that the food was great but we did not visit the restaurant. The photos on the wall of the bar was quite a surprise and made us a bit uncomfortable. However the staff there was also very nice.

The art goes beyond being an interesting visual amenity; it’s a theme that runs through all places and aspects of the hotel—it’s part of the rooms, the bar, the restaurant, the lobby, and the gift shop. Our room was comfortable with two exceptions: 1) the layout of the room makes for a tight entrance or exit from the room itself and into or out of the bathroom, and 2) poor soundproofing—we could hear the guest in the next room cough, talk on the phone, etc., and the conversation among the housekeepers in the hallway might as well have been taking place inside our room. Still a lovely hotel and I wouldn’t even try to talk anyone out of staying there, but these drawbacks do detract from the otherwise high quality of the experience.

I returned to my room prior to my checkout time to shower and gather my belongings. I entered to discover that all the bedding had been removed and the carpet was dripping wet from a carpet cleaning. They decided to do this work while I was still occupying the room. The staff was practically useless. Despite helping me move to an adjacent room so I could shower and pack, they seemed to think I should have noticed in a dark room that the carpet was soaking wet before I dropped my things down. When checking out a few minutes later, they had me stand and wait without asking how I wanted the bill sent to me. However, they did ask how I wanted to pay for the minibar item. Poorly capable and trained staff. Also, the on-premises restaurant never returned a call I made to book a large table for an event.

Didn’t get to stay. Had a confirmation number from Hotels.com, but when we arrived at the hotel, they said they were sold out. The hotel blamed Hotels.com and Hotels.come blames the hotel. Didn’t find another room for two hours.

From the time we walked in to this property the staff was amazing! Anya checked us in and was very friendly and gave us some great food recommendations. This property is quiet and clean. The museum/art aspect is a wonderful piece to the hotel. This property is within 2 blocks of the Louisville Slugger and Mohammed Ali Center...super continent! We would absolutely stay here again!

We were very disappointed with the quality of the front desk staff. Our reservation couldn't be found at first however once a manager was called and a deeper search was done, the reservation was located. From this point it still took close to 30 minutes to check in. They part-time employees at the desk are not trained in the hospitality industry. They did upgrade our room which was appreciated. The room itself was comfortable however the bathroom was not well designed and missing some basics. I had much higher hopes for this hotel as the restaurant associated with it, Proof, is wonderful.

Car ransacked while in valet parking overnight. Front desk told me this happens at least monthly and helpfully reminded me that somewhere on the valet ticket it says they have no responsibility. Other than this unhappy incident and the underwhelming response to it by morning staff, the hotel was very clean and rooms well appointed. Woman working evening check-in was tremendously kind and helpful.

Dwight was the one person who made the hotel a 5 vs the overall 4 we gave it. He was extremely helpful in all situations Front desk attendants were not that helpful or seemed to always be “busy” $32 a night for valet parking was ridiculously high for the price for guest that stay there. Might even be a reason I would not return.

Offbeat elegance with just a touch whimsy we throughly enjoyed the 21C. Room was spacious and comfortable and oh so quiet. We loved roaming the galleries and were entertained by the random Penguins. The restaurant was excellent and the staff in the bar and restaurant were stellar. The location was excellent as well.

The last time that we were in Louisville we walked through this museum hotel. It's very unique. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is great. We liked the attached bar and restaurant (Proof). One plus with staying here is that you get a nightly "nightcap".

Super cool hotel - rooms are clean, modern, and large. Fun art makes it a great stay. There was an artist reception while we were there, so it truly was like a museum visit included with our hotel stay. We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant (Proof on Main). We did buy the breakfast, which basically was a coupon for that amount at the restaurant. No need to buy in advance, you might find something better elsewhere.

Nothing wrong with modern art, but this isn’t art. It’s left-wing political activism and propaganda. Rooms are a good size but that’s the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel. We even got turned away at breakfast, they said they were at capacity and couldn’t even give me a time estimate on when a table would be ready, basically just flat out refusing to serve us even though we were willing to wait since we were staying at the hotel.

No pool which would have been nice in the oppressive heat & the bar closed incredibly early so we were not able to utilize the nightcap coupons on the property which was a complete letdown as we were looking forward to the complimentary beverage as well as spending money at the bar since it was located on property and would have been a wonderful experience. Other than that, I highly recommend!

Great art and has a great restaurant. Hallway walls are blank which was strange and the there was no option besides the restaurant for food especially Sunday morning since coffee shops nearby were closed.

This is meant to be the flagship 21C and it was at one time, but it has started to fray at the edges noticably.. having stayed at the Lexington location recently I was saddened by the fallen state of the flagship. Even the gift shop was ramshackle. The peguins have all faded.. the room decor was tatty.. what was the meaning of what looked to landuary netting stappled over the beds? It felt like some charity shop try hard highschool art project. The bathroom lights were gloomy.. its simply a sad state of affairs. and considering the boom of small chic hotels in nearby hipper locations .. the 21c Louisville needs to step back into what they started as and bring it. They were the first.. let it not be on its last leg
