Elevator had been broken for a week-was not notified. Clerk offered to carry my 70 year old mother up to the 3rd floor. Got into the room-light bulbs were missing from sockets, one towel for 2 people, beds were made with top sheets only-no elastic bottoms, no plug for the bathtub, and no soap for washing your hands. Also arrived and the pool was shut down...again not notified. One staff member was very helpful but will not stay there again.

we were given a room on the first floor that did not have working plumbing. The toilet and sink were clogged and the manager told us we should not have been assigned to that room because they knew it was problematic. We were then moved to another room upstairs. There were clumps of hair all over the bathroom floor and dead bugs on the window ledge. The manager came and cleaned it herself when we called. They was also loud banging underneath us because they were renovating the pool.

Robert checked us in and he was fantastic! We were disappointed in the fact that the pool was closed. The room was very comfortable and it was nice to have a higher toilet for tall people. The only issue was the ice machine was cleared out in the morning when folks left and there was no ice for the day. The pancake machine did not work and the tub was very slippery. We solved the issue with the tub, by putting down a towel - we did not eat pancakes and we went to McDonald's for ice. Other than that we were fine.

I booked this room months in advance after looking at the reviews and verifying this hotel has a pool, breakfast, and onsite parking. We were not informed until we got there that the pool has been closed. We should have been informed of this in advance. The wifi in the hotel room didn’t work. There was an electrical outlet in the room that didn’t work. The safe didn’t work. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The tile floor was sticky and there was a leftover bottle cap on the floor. The tile throughout the hotel was sticky. This was a bad experience. The only positive thing I have to say is the staff was friendly.

Bathroom had rust and black grout around tub when asked for another room they stated that the facility was recently updated a month ago and everything should be new ! Lamp was cracked and broken , shower curtain smelled like mold . Won’t come back to this location .

I stayed at this hotel when it first opened and it was a great experience. This time it was a hotel in need of a renovation and maintenance. The bathtub caulk was very gross with brown mold and cracking. furniture was beat up looking. Beds and linens were good. Rip in the shade. Could have been cleaner overall. Front desk was very nice.

It was ok. The hotel is a bit aged. The bathtub had some bad caulk etc. It’s just a dated hotel. Not sure how long they will stay a HIE if they don’t remodel. Breakfast first day was not great. Other days it was fine. I stayed for 5 days. There was a roof leak on the 2nd floor with a bucket underneath. You could see mold on the Sheetrock above the ceiling. Not ideal. But. I’m pretty easily pleased. My work location was walking distance away so that’s why I picked it. Also. Generally HIE are quite “nice” this was was certainly in the low end of the HIE spectrum.

The hotel had hot dining options for breakfast, which is a plus. The microwave and fridge in the room was also a great benefit to us. Target is within walking distance. So many places to eat conveniently located near this location. The room was extremely hot, (even with the heat off)which made it uncomfortable to sleep. The ac/heat unit was broken upon arrival so maybe that's why it was so hot. Our stay wasn't a bad stay. Thanks for the kind and polite staff who assisted us during our stay.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable room. I could hear the guests in the room above me moving around all night; their footsteps were really loud on my ceiling. Bathrooms were not as clean as they could have been and the carpeting on the stairway was really dirty. The positives outweighed the negatives,however, and I would recommend.

Joy at the front desk was a hero. We were having trouble checking in and getting our key to work and she was so helpful and patient. She's the reason that I will definitely book again. The hotel location is so convenient and shares a plaza with Target and IHOP which is helpful for grabbing a quick bite and anything we forgot to pack!

The Deskclerk treated us like we were a bother when we were checking in. He seemed more intererested in the computer screen behind the counter. Questioned the reservation because it was made by wife's maiden name. The other staff were nice and tried to be helpful. The breakfast buffet had no plates. How can a hotel with a breakfast service run out of paper plates?? Was told they were on order. If I owned the company, I'd offer 5 free nights with an apology.

We stayed at Holiday Inn for 3 nights. Our rooms were never tidied while we stayed there because of a shortage of staff apparently. Although we were put up in a non smoking room, the room reeked of smoke. We asked the receptionist for another room, however they were sold out. We were handed room spray to help mask the odour. We constantly had to ask for clean towels and toiletries a well. The least the hotel could do was empty the trash for us or make the beds for us. We stayed with our 11 month old at the hotel and didn’t have the best experience.

I always choose the Holiday Inn Express when visiting ROC. It's perfect for me. It fits my needs. There are conveniences like Tim Horton's Donuts, Kwik Fil gas, IHOP, Starbucks, and Chipolte within walking distance! Excellent property. It's a great value. Erica at the front desk was extremely helpful. I'm looking forward to the upgrade changes being made and visiting ROC again!

It was ok. The hotel is a bit aged. The bathtub had some bad caulk etc. It’s just a dated hotel. Not sure how long they will stay a HIE if they don’t remodel. Breakfast first day was not great. Other days it was fine. I stayed for 5 days. There was a roof leak on the 2nd floor with a bucket underneath. You could see mold on the Sheetrock above the ceiling. Not ideal. But. I’m pretty easily pleased. My work location was walking distance away so that’s why I picked it. Also. Generally HIE are quite “nice” this was was certainly in the low end of the HIE spectrum.

The breakfast was terrible. They ran out of Bannans, and the guy taking care of the breakfast bar was watching a video on the Business Center computer. Not what I would call breakfast.

Checkin was fast and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. We were staying one night to go fishing the next day. I realize you can’t have the breakfast area opened all the time but to be told you can’t even touch the cereal at 5:30 in the morning is really ridiculous. There was about 6 people there at that time.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable room. I could hear the guests in the room above me moving around all night; their footsteps were really loud on my ceiling. Bathrooms were not as clean as they could have been and the carpeting on the stairway was really dirty. The positives outweighed the negatives,however, and I would recommend.

We had specifically booked a handicapped room but it was not ready when we arrived. They gave us another room but it had a tub rather than a walk in shower. The second night of our four night stay there was a broken water pipe which flooded our room so we had to be moved to yet another room which also had a tub rather than a walk in shower. We expected the room to be made up daily but the last night of our stay we were out all day but the room was never cleaned or the beds made. The staff was apologetic but everyone from housekeeping was gone for the day.

The first thing I noticed upon entering the hotel was the very strong chlorine smell coming from the pool area which was right off the lobby. It caused my eyes to burn it was so strong. Despite having 3 floors there was 1 elevator. As for the room, it ess comfortable but I like to have coffee in the am when I first wake up and there was no coffee maker. The icemaker was also inconveniently located on the first floor near the pool. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very good, probably the best part of the stay.
