Misrepresentation of condition of property. Looks great in pictures but it’s very old and outdated—in a creepy way. The staff is very nice/tries hard but I can’t recommend this property. Location feels unsafe, rooms very dated, terrible breakfast, multiple cars got broken into overnight, shower was stopped up and didn’t drain. Very disappointing experience.

Always excellent staff. They have a great bar and vibe. Restaurant is incredible. I loved the beef tartare. Parking is easy and it is so well restored.

clean room, nice friendly staff. very firm memory foam bed. restaurant had epic food- top 50 in the world at one point. Mixologist is from Michelin Per Se in NYC so drinks were delicious. Didn't go to the jazz bar downstairs but will hopefully return and will do that. Complimentary bagels and coffee for breakfast.

Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. But things are quite outdated and I don’t mean decor. The historical building is pretty neat, but chipped paint and the musty elevator is a little off putting. To the new owner’s credit however, the light fixtures on my floor were replaced during my stay. So no doubt there will be more to come. My trip ended poorly when a vandal broke into 6 cars during my last night. My window was cracked but fortunately not completely broken as were others in the parking lot. Rochester is becoming increasingly more dangerous and I wish there had been some posted security - some parking lot floodlights at least. The Inn being the nicer hotel around, someone probably figured it’s guests would have valuable items.

I loved the historic charm and decor of the property. Plenty of onsite free parking, bar and restaurant on site, and wonderful robe for after my shower. We did have to go to the bar to get ice and a drink as there are no ice or vending machines but it was not a problem. The bathroom had a slightly odd configuration with the sink and mirror in the corner and it was rather small but it worked. Would definitely recommend and this will be our spot for our annual trip to Rochester.

Enjoyed very much our overnight stay at the Inn on Broadway. Excellent bar - the bar decor is very pretty and relaxing - and we had an awesome meal there. And excellent service!

The hotel is a beautiful historic building. Parking is right at the front door. The location is right in the heart of downtown. Fantastic stay. Will stay here again if I’m ever in Rochester in the future.

Clean & comfortable room, with both a wonderful shower and a big soaking tub. Staff was friendly and efficient, everyone we encountered was helpful and focused on giving good service. The bed was clean and fresh, and very comfortable. We would recommend the Inn on Broadway for anyone who wants an affordable but upscale experience in downtown Rochester.

Before you all freak out about this review I just want to say this was a 5/5 for me. We did find a mouse in our room running around, it was pretty gross and freaked out since I can’t handle mouse’s or rats. After this experience the staff did everything they can to make it all better and they truly did. Liz was absolutely wonderful, gave us another room even when it was a fully booked hotel and free drinks at the bar. I don’t want the mouse to ruin this experience because it could happen anywhere and it doesn’t mean the hotel is bad in anyway. This hotel was lovely, clean, convenient and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are amazing!!!

Very cute and well maintained hotel! Loved all the unique common spaces, like sitting area on third floor and window nooks on second floor. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was absolutely spotless.

Mice infestation in the room. Found during the night. There was a single night staff on duty and he was not helpful and was on talking on his phone the whole time. He seemed to think this was somehow amusing, says he cannot give me a new room because only premium rooms are left(?), and proceeded to grab a broom… I insisted strongly for a switch, and got the keys to the “premium” room directly next to the prior room with the mice. Tried to pass the night with the lights on and luggage unpacked. Got out as soon as possible next morning. At least got a refund from a different staff in the morning, but won’t stay here again even if you paid me. Shame because the building looked nice.

Fun old hotel, friendly staff. Room was spacious, yet a bit dated and the room wasn't completely clean (the TV and the TV stand hadn't been dusted for some time). The sliding bathroom door was crooked and couldn't close all the way. However, best shower ever! Great independent coffee shop in walking distance.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was on-site and convenient. Room was clean. I didn't like that one of the two flagpoles was mounted under out window and clunked all night in the wind, that kept waking both me and my kid up. I also badly knocked my shin on the weird protruding wrought-iron bed frame in the middle of the night.

Room was nice but the pictures of the room showed a fireplace and we didn't have one which was one of the reason we booked the room. Also the TV didn't work and I found the cable pulled out of the back of the TV

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The room was incredibly spacious yet still felt cozy, with a beautiful fireplace adding to the ambiance. It was one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we can’t wait to return!!

The only problem with the property was that the television was not working. When I went to explain this to the front desk, they said they would fix it. I was gone for four hours and came back and it was never fixed.

The Inn has been maintained to the highest standards ,as obvious as walking through the front door. Pure elegance from a simpler time it is absolutely beautiful. Our room was Clean , comfortable and quiet. the bed was very comfortable. The fireplace added such a nice touch, we loved it! The multi head shower was great !

Pros- This property is great for maybe a wedding banquet and or party great antique ballroom setup and friendly staff. Cons- Overall, Not a very inviting area, nothing really close by it. Front could use a little freshening up to attract new clientele. Room- I had a luxury room with a jet tub. Overall the room was very nice. However, the TV remote did not work for shutting it off and turning it on. The previous people who was in the room must have unplugged it from the back because we couldn't figure out how to turn it on for a while. The air conditioner did not go below 74°. Unfortunately, when it's 98° outside and you're sleeping during the night you wanted a little bit chillier. Upon check out address these concerns with the staff. The afternoon staff was definitely more friendlier in a tentative to our needs. The morning staff member, just said well the TV remote worked for changing the channel and volume? I said yes but you couldn't turn it off with it. I then said the AC didn't go below 74°. He said okay. That was the end of our conversation. Breakfast- Upon check-in they said there is a small Continental breakfast in the morning. Just an FYI, literally bagels and cereal. Not the end of the world for us but maybe for kids who have allergies and or are picky eaters.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking is free and right next to the hotel. The location is nice, right on the edge of downtown. The restaurant is excellent. Unfoturnately, there are a few misses that should be corrected: The room furniture is mismatched, old, chipped and scatched. One faucet handle did not work. The toilet seat needs to be tightened. There are nails on walls where prints must have been. Reservation for two, but only one wine glass and one bathrobe. An unusable chair. This could be such a nice place if management would take a walk through the guest rooms and make small adjustments.

Clean & comfortable room, with both a wonderful shower and a big soaking tub. Staff was friendly and efficient, everyone we encountered was helpful and focused on giving good service. The bed was clean and fresh, and very comfortable. We would recommend the Inn on Broadway for anyone who wants an affordable but upscale experience in downtown Rochester.

Hotel was very nice and room comfortable. Unfortunately due to lack of staff, our room was not cleaned during the 3 nights we were there! Didn’t empty wastebasket, dirty cups never replaced until I asked. Phone did not work 1st day and I requested someone check it with front desk, but phone never worked. We liked the room, but service not to great.

Incredible hotel, wonderful staff. Clean and cozy, the bar and restaurant outstanding, Liz at the front desk was super helpful. The hotel itself is a gem among many cookie cutter corporate stays. Would return in a heartbeat.

At check in I was insistent that the following morning at 4:30 AM, the desk would be able to check me out, as I had a train to catch at 5:15 AM. The desk attendant said she would give a note to the person that would be on duty at that early hour. The desk was not attended then, I took an incoming call from the taxi driver, and told him I would be out in a minute or two. Then I entered the office, wrote a note stating no one was present to check out room 405, and left the room key by the note. Then an employee arrived, and shouted " What are you doing in there?" I responded "No one was present to check me out, so I went in to drop the key off". Then I heard "Get out! You're not coming back". I must give the staffer credit, he did not assault me. Although I would have preferred the desk to have been attended at the time I required, and a more gracious way to open the encounter would have been "Good morning, how can I help you?", I did board the train, so that is what mattered. There is scant evidence that this joint screens and trains staff for acceptable work in the hospitality business.

I experienced the best service - at the hotel and the restaurant in the hotel - that I have encountered in many years. Kind and generously responsive. This is a very welcoming place. It is also a gorgeous old inn, with modern updates. (Bed was great.)

Was there for a friend’s wedding (best man). When a last minute transportation problem developed, the desk clerk (Liz) drove me to the wedding. All the staff were personable and professional. The room was immaculate and comfortable.

Misrepresentation of condition of property. Looks great in pictures but it’s very old and outdated—in a creepy way. The staff is very nice/tries hard but I can’t recommend this property. Location feels unsafe, rooms very dated, terrible breakfast, multiple cars got broken into overnight, shower was stopped up and didn’t drain. Very disappointing experience.

Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. But things are quite outdated and I don’t mean decor. The historical building is pretty neat, but chipped paint and the musty elevator is a little off putting. To the new owner’s credit however, the light fixtures on my floor were replaced during my stay. So no doubt there will be more to come. My trip ended poorly when a vandal broke into 6 cars during my last night. My window was cracked but fortunately not completely broken as were others in the parking lot. Rochester is becoming increasingly more dangerous and I wish there had been some posted security - some parking lot floodlights at least. The Inn being the nicer hotel around, someone probably figured it’s guests would have valuable items.

We love the Inn on Broadway. It's a beautiful building with great amenities and outstanding staff. The shower is awesome too. Convenient to anything happening downtown. This is our go-to for Jazz fest etc.

The hotel is a beautiful historic building. Parking is right at the front door. The location is right in the heart of downtown. Fantastic stay. Will stay here again if I’m ever in Rochester in the future.

In town for Jazz Fest. Couldn’t ask for a better location and parking to boot! Love the hotel, architecture, etc. Love redone older structures. Room was huge, high ceilings, comfy bed, quiet and comfortable. Only issue. Shower water pressure was … sub par to say the least. It’s in the city, water pressure should peel paint! Other than that no regrets and would stay again/recommend. Restaurants, bars, Salingers, Spot Coffee around the corner and new East Ave urban spaces to walk to as well.

clean room, nice friendly staff. very firm memory foam bed. restaurant had epic food- top 50 in the world at one point. Mixologist is from Michelin Per Se in NYC so drinks were delicious. Didn't go to the jazz bar downstairs but will hopefully return and will do that. Complimentary bagels and coffee for breakfast.

In advertising for this hotel, it is noted through Expedia that Breakfast is included, however, there was no Breakfast at all. Just Coffee and Muffins were at the Coffee Stand. In today's economy, and with Hotel & Lodging Prices as high as they are, a hotel of this Calibur, should definitely has a decent Breakfast included. They use to have a very good hot breakfast before, they need to definitely bring it back.

Enjoyed very much our overnight stay at the Inn on Broadway. Excellent bar - the bar decor is very pretty and relaxing - and we had an awesome meal there. And excellent service!

They mentioned breakfast is included. Not true. It was only coffee (I had to asked for that too) and muffin. Oh, there were only two dried small oranges. That's all. Do not get fooled by that posting. Other than that was not bad

I liked this historic hotel but liked the staff even more. They were top tier in professionalism and made me feel special and right at home. A local friend met me for dinner. The bartender was so great we decided to eat at the bar instead of going into the restaurant. The dinner was absolutely gorgeous and so delish!

Uncomfortable bed. Curtains let in too much light. No deadbolt or other security locks on the door. Pathetic excuse for breakfast consisting of mediocre pastries, frosted flakes and tubs of yogurt. No ice. Pluses were a beautiful building, an excellent jazz club in the basement, and friendly staff.

There are no basic rooms with a refrigerator. This is a very basic amenity that I should not have to go without. The rooms are all spacious and could certainly accommodate one. Present a huge issue for anybody carrying medication or in need of keeping anything refrigerated.

Beautiful old inn. Nice and quiet and spacious room. The doors had nothing but handle locks. No deadbolt or chain/bar latch. Which I did not like and let the front desk know. Also, the room could use a full length mirror and a chair or small sofa to sit on . No place in lobby to sit either. But it was a great location and good parking

I enjoyed my stay. The photo of the room was a bit deceiving: mine was much smaller. Also, I wish my room had two keys: this is a boutique hotel and they don't use keycards. Otherwise, the location was great (3 blocks from Eastman School of Music), nice breakfast with extended hours, and a very friendly and helpful staff.
