We enjoyed our one night stay at The Lawn Guest House right before flying out of Gatewick Airport. The Guest House was close to the airport. We were thankful for the personal shuttle service. The room, bed and ensuite bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. There are several very good restaurants within walking distance. Overall it was a very nice stay finishing off our London visit.

Brilliant access to Horley town centre for restaurants and bars. Excellent parking, comfortable, clean room and a lovely well kept modern place to stay. Hosts were very welcoming. I would recommend it to any fellow traveller

This was a great stay. Car park is small, but I did get a space. I stayed in the ground floor room, which was large and spacious, comfortable bed. The only thing missing was a chair to sit at the table/desk at. Staff friendly. Car park did not come at an additional cost (there are other places in Horley which add on a car park charge). I was up early the next day for work, so was not woken by the washing machine? above me (but others might have been).

After landing late at LGW all I wanted was a simple, clean, comfortable B&B. The Lawn met that is every aspect. Easy procedure for late check in. It is a £20 taxi ride away from the South Terminal.

Nicely cared for property. Good breakfast! Unfortunately there was no air conditioning. The hallway rugs needed refurbishing. The shuttle charge was way over the top. Very nice manager/owner and he was very accommodating in changing the dates of my stay.

This was a lovely spot to spend the night between flights from Gatwick airport. Quasim is an amazing host and the place was clean and within a 5-minute walk to restaurants. The transportation service to and from the airport was a bonus. We only had carry-on luggage so taking it up and down the stairs was no problem, as there is no lift. Would definitely stay there again.

The place is cute. Issues I had room was for five people only two towels provided. It was a very hot day that we checked in. In the room had no AC just a little fan you go crack a window that open a little due to the heat was unable to sleep all night and due to the lack of towels, three of us were not able to freshen up and the front desk wasn’t open until after we left for the airport we left in the morning. Our flight left very early going down the big stairs. There’s no lights those completely dark, making it unsafe to walk down the stairs with your luggage and almost pure darkness.

No AC( my bad for not catching) Room was Very dirty. left over a bottle of liquor left on shelf. Dusty candy and sugar packets on the floor under a chair, carpet, old and dirty. Took the cover off at the duvet, it was too hot, the duvet was covered in yellow stains, disgusting.

The owner was friendly and outgoing however there was a musty smell in the bedrooms that didn’t go away with windows open. The rooms could have been cleaner as evidenced by the failure to remove dirty coffee cups from our room. There were lights bulbs burnt out in our room which the owner didn’t look after even after being told and it was annoying to have to reach up and reset the breaker when the bathroom lights were turned on. Even after these issues, we still had a good stay.

Arrived to a very warm welcome, with some help and advice about where to eat, and when we should leave for the airport the next day. Unfortunately the room was unbelievably hot to the point where sleep was almost impossible. There was a fan in the room but it was dusty and didn’t want that firing out dust at us. The room was booked for 4 people but towels, cups and complimentary drinks were supplied for either 2 or 3 people. For 1 night it was ok. The staff member on reception was very lovely and welcoming, and so were the staff members who were called upon to bring extra towels. The pillows and chairs were stained which wasn’t great, either throw them out or clean them up.

Lovely room, very comfortable bed. Sadly the pillows were stained. The toilet ring was a little stained underneath. It would be nice to have a lampshade rather than a sad looking light bob hanging from the ceiling. Sound proof not very good. Overall, I would stay again as very convient for an early morning trip to the airport.

Really enjoyable stay in the cleanest Hotel/B&B ever stayed in. Owner is obviously proud of their establishment. Nice that transport to airport can be also easily arranged through owner. Comfort slipped a point because only soft pillows available which owner is addressing. 5 stars is not enough for this property.

Great room in a good location. 5 minute walk to Horley High Street. Room, and the entire facility, was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Check-in and reception was fast and staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back next time we fly in or out of LGW.

This is my second time at The Lawn. All the basics are here for a relaxing, quiet stay. Kept very clean and tidy. Extremely helpful, friendly staff. Plenty of coffee/tea provided in the room. Very strong, free wi-fi signal.Great choice of TV channels available. Many restaurants/cafes/pubs/shops only a few minutes walk away. Horley railway station is a mere 8 minutes walk away with frequent trains into central London [takes about 40 minutes] and only a two minute train ride to Gatwick airport. Enjoyable exoerience.

The property was very close to Gatwick airport and in quiet road. We were given a warm welcome by Quasim. Room was very clean and adequate for an overnight stay. Parking excellent. What I didn't like was that a wet towel had been left on back of entry door, probably missed by housekeeping. The room also smelled of stale smoke. I understand this is illegal in hotels and guest houses so perhaps there is something else that smells similar? I would stay again although perhaps not in room 6 due to the smell.

This is our second visit. We like staying in Horley and commuting to London to visit the sites. We’ve stayed in room 7 both times. It’s large, modern, has a comfortable bed and a nice washroom. It’s a short walk from the train station and to restaurants and shops. Taxis can be arranged to Gatwick airport. The breakfast is modest but good.

After arrival the room was pretty cold. When we got up at 3 am the heating was off and it was freezing cold. Not pleasant when it’s December. The room also needs a bit of cleaning. Convenient location as it’s close by the train station, one stop from Gatwick airport.

Great location to be able to walk to the train to catch into London for the afternoon/evening. Seems to be enough parking as well. They also offered to keep our bags a couple hours earlier than our room was available. The common areas are nicely decorated. The room was underwhelming. The bed was a bit smaller than we like. The linens were nice. In the room we had the little sink is beside the bed with the carpet under it and the wall is all splashed next to it. It’s a bit awkward but functional. The toliet/shower was a small cramped corner room/closet but again clean and functional. For us this was the most affordable option which was relatively clean and walking distance to train station and included a light breakfast. Basically the fellow who runs the place makes you toast and eggs if you like. Again clean and as advertised.

We had a twin room with a couple of easy chairs and small table in the "turret corner" of the house so a lovely room. Beds were comfortable. Everything in the room and accommodation in general was nicely done and in good condition. Area was quiet and staff were very helpful. I would certainly book at Lawn Guest house again. Thank you.

Good bed & bathroom & parking was included. Terrible: During my stay, a nearby guest talked all night (till 5am) on the phone or video conference, with no regards to time nor other guests. Sadly, I couldn't work out which room she was in, so couldn't ask her to keep quiet. Okay, not entirely the hotel's fault, except that this should be made very clear to the guests on arrival and bold letters on booking confirmation or terms. Also a phone no. provided for out of ours issues. General lack of noise insulation & creaky floors. Minor issue, no decaf coffee !

We stayed here during an overnight layover in London. Quasim was very helpful when it came to organizing a late check in, an early check out, and a taxi to the airport. We enjoyed the village of Horley and even made it out for a pint! We would stay here again.

The couple that runs the Lawn Guest House have thoight of everything...from tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the room to an excellent guide book written with their guests in mind. Restaurants, pubs, and shopping are an easy 3 to 10 minute walk. We had a late arrival and they went out of their way to accommodate us. I highly recommend this brilliant bed & breakfast.

House is beautiful but could use some updating inside especially rooms. Altho bath was great, already updated. Staff was friendly but got upset that we disnt order breakfast or use their car service to the airport because it was no included and was expensive for being 5 mins to the Gatwick airport.

The manager, Quasim, picked me up from the airport very quickly, and provided an excellent itinerary and directions, allowing me to see many attractions in nearby London in the very short time I had. He even drove me to the train station, and helped me purchase a travel pass, so that I could catch the train on time.

Brilliant access to Horley town centre for restaurants and bars. Excellent parking, comfortable, clean room and a lovely well kept modern place to stay. Hosts were very welcoming. I would recommend it to any fellow traveller

Lawn Guest House is a very charming Victorian property, close to Gatwick. It is in a quiet, residential location, but still walkable to excellent restaurants. Our host was friendly and helpful, arranging transportation for us to the airport. Everything was very clean, the beds comfortable and breakfast substantial. Even though it is convenient to the airport, Lawn Guest House would make a great place to stay while exploring the area. Thank-you Quasim!

Very convenient for Gatwick Airport; number 100 bus ( stop 9) will take you almost to the Lawn door. All very comfortable and located in a good area for restaurants. The Costa Del Sol does a great paella offer, plus drink for under £40 total !

This is place is very close to Gatwick airport (1 train stop away or 25 min walk), but the neighborhood is very quiet and walkable. Lots of restaurants and markets nearby.

This is my second time at The Lawn. All the basics are here for a relaxing, quiet stay. Kept very clean and tidy. Extremely helpful, friendly staff. Plenty of coffee/tea provided in the room. Very strong, free wi-fi signal.Great choice of TV channels available. Many restaurants/cafes/pubs/shops only a few minutes walk away. Horley railway station is a mere 8 minutes walk away with frequent trains into central London [takes about 40 minutes] and only a two minute train ride to Gatwick airport. Enjoyable exoerience.

This is our second visit. We like staying in Horley and commuting to London to visit the sites. We’ve stayed in room 7 both times. It’s large, modern, has a comfortable bed and a nice washroom. It’s a short walk from the train station and to restaurants and shops. Taxis can be arranged to Gatwick airport. The breakfast is modest but good.

We enjoyed our one night stay at The Lawn Guest House right before flying out of Gatewick Airport. The Guest House was close to the airport. We were thankful for the personal shuttle service. The room, bed and ensuite bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. There are several very good restaurants within walking distance. Overall it was a very nice stay finishing off our London visit.

The proprietor was not present when we arrived, but was able to buzz us in remotely. The room was very attractive and comfortable, but the heat did not come on in the house until several hours after we arrived. Breakfast was basic and vegetarian. The location was excellent for walking to a wide variety of appealing restaurants for dinner.

Stayed for one night in the family sized room which was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast option was so convenient and the transport to and from Gatwick provided by the owner was very helpful and reasonable. Went to local pub Ye Olde Six Bells and that was great too. We can highly recommend The Lawn Guest House if staying for a Gatwick flight, great host and overall experience!

Great location to be able to walk to the train to catch into London for the afternoon/evening. Seems to be enough parking as well. They also offered to keep our bags a couple hours earlier than our room was available. The common areas are nicely decorated. The room was underwhelming. The bed was a bit smaller than we like. The linens were nice. In the room we had the little sink is beside the bed with the carpet under it and the wall is all splashed next to it. It’s a bit awkward but functional. The toliet/shower was a small cramped corner room/closet but again clean and functional. For us this was the most affordable option which was relatively clean and walking distance to train station and included a light breakfast. Basically the fellow who runs the place makes you toast and eggs if you like. Again clean and as advertised.

I was welcomed on arrival and offered transfer back to the station for a reasonable price. The room was clean and tidy with interesting features. Breakfast was a little disappointing as apart from cereal and juice the only choice for the main was eggs with toast. If you didn’t like eggs then you were a bit stuck. Overall a convenient place if I was to return to Gatwick airport in the future.

Our go-to spot when we're visiting family in the area. Very friendly staff, great location, quiet neighborhood with restaurant, pub, bakery, and grocery options nearby. Place feels like you're staying at a BnB with great service and staff.

Double Room - 9/10. Great size. Lovely and clean. Very nice decor. Presumably ‘upgraded’ to a triple room… Bathroom - 8/10. Nice, clean bathroom. Good shower. Good towels. Steps down into bathroom means this wouldn’t be easy for some… Bed - 10/10. Decent bed and pillows. WiFi - N/a. Didn’t use. Staff - 8/10. No real interaction other than through garbled intercom and follow-up phone call. Hotel - 8/10. Great location for a night before a Gatwick flight. Decor was decent quality throughout. Only let down was the waiting on the doorstep for 10-15 mins as we couldn’t get in - despite arriving bang on our already advised eta. Advised that this was due to “phone signal issue”. Despite this, would consider staying again if needing an early flight from LGW…
