The scenery was gorgeous we stayed in cabin #10. Easy parking we had everything we needed at the cabin! They also have a little gift shop at the hotel and coffee shop ! We will definitely be coming back ! Receptionist was super friendly!

The resort provided seclusion and calm with beautiful landscaping, just what we were looking for on this trip. We had our own cabin with a great view of the harbor. There is electric car charging available which was a pleasant surprise. The path lights to our cabin were lacking and was the only concern we had getting around at night.

Clean, comfortable, and cozy retreat! The staff were so friendly and professional. The bathroom and kitchen are well stocked. There is an on site coffee shop and mini store for any snacks, refreshments, or toiletries you may have forgotten to bring. They also sell a s’mores kit complete with a roasting stick for the waterfront campfire. We are so pleased with our stay and look forward to many more stays here in the future!

Absolutely beautiful location. We loved the simple cabin that fit in perfectly with the surroundings. So many thoughtful touches. Two choices for heat inside. A cute iron stove or more modern heat/ac wall unit. Outside fire rings Nice wall art of local scenery. A kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal. A little store & coffee shop for extras. BBQs. Large pots by dock to cook crabs you catch in the bay. Fun birdwatching Eagles to Bufflehead Ducks, etc. All the staff members we met were very friendly & helpful. We were attending a nearby family Thanksgiving get together and plan to stay here again.

This has got to be the best place to stay on San Juan Island! I was by here 35 yrs ago when it was a bait shop and campground. It was cool then but rustic, Now it is so nice! The Pan Abode cabins are wonderful, the grounds are beautiful and the staff was amazing. The coffee shop was nice, and the gift shop store was way more than we were expecting.

This property is so gorgeous! It’s peaceful and quiet, the grounds are immaculate, and the view is incredible. The cabins are cozy, clean, and well-appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a great stay. The cabins were very clean and the property is well maintained. Our kids really enjoyed riding bikes around and playing all of the yard games the resort has available. The complimentary kayak rentals and unlimited firewood for the fire pits were both really nice amenities.

This was our first trip to Friday Harbor/SJI, and mostly because of the Snug Harbor Resort, we plan to return regularly.

Unit could have been slightly cleaner and there was some wear and tear, but overall it was a great experience. There was a big gap under the front door that caused a decent cold draft (we went in winter). However, the property is incredible, would go back.

Snug Harbor resort was a nice place to call home while we explored the island. The harbor view cabin we stayed in was private and comfortable (20). It had everything you'd expect in the kitchenette. My only criticism would be water pressure in the shower. Definitely would recommend to friends and we will be back.

I stayed here solo for four nights. It is a very very peaceful place and quiet location. Perfect for quiet stays. I stayed in the waterfront cabins on the same level as the little lobby. I will say that one thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the fact that the big windows on these waterfront cabins look onto the water but also onto the sidewalk where guests walk to the dock. My cabin (cabin 4) was closest to the lobby and directly in front of the walkway where people gathered to go kayaking. It was a bit u comfortable having people just right there in front of my window. I couldn't close the blinds because then it would be too dark in the cabin. My suggestion would be to install some light filtering shades that can be pulled dow from the top to still let light in but give people privacy. The cabins are very comfortable and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lighting in the cabins isn't great but not a big deal! Overall I would recommend this place for anyone looking for quiet and beautiful!

This was our first time exploring the San Juan Islands and opting for this particular island was a fantastic choice. Snug Harbor Resort is charming AF and has a super kind staff; plus, it’s quiet with privacy thanks to no shared walls since the cabin is a standalone. They had enough provisions in their gift shop/marketplace to supplement what we brought, so I was able to cook meals for us, which we ate in the cozy dining nook while enjoying the marina view. Speaking of views, the Snug Harbor Resort grounds are beautifully maintained. Even better, it was fairly centrally located to everything we wanted to do — and there is so much to do on San Juan Island we didn’t end up island hopping like we initially thought we would. Typically we prefer to stay in downtown areas so we can walk to the main amenities, but this time we decided to try something new and I am so glad we did because this place made us feel like we were truly on a relaxing vacation. Loved that it had a “modern rustic” vibe, but with all of the usual hotel amenities (and that glorious view). Highly recommend staying here. Also highly recommend splurging on the waterfront lodging option if available. This trip was the 2nd half of our honeymoon and the cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. I would totally stay here again if we return to this location.

Typically we prefer to stay in downtown areas so we can walk to the main amenities, but this time we decided to try something new and I am so glad we did because this place made us feel like we were truly on a relaxing vacation. Loved that it had a “modern rustic” vibe, but with all of the usual hotel amenities (and that glorious view). Highly recommend staying here. Also highly recommend splurging on the waterfront lodging option if available. This trip was the 2nd half of our honeymoon and the cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. I would totally stay here again if we return to this location.

Had a problem with a burst pipe in the unit. Water all over the floor. Manager Marie Anne was promptly on the scene and handled the situation with great class. Got us settled in an upgraded room with one night free. Great place, beautiful location. Great customer service.

My husband and I planned a quick, last minute one-night stay on San Juan Island. After reading the reviews on Hotels.com from past guests of Snug Harbor, I knew this would be a treat for us. Beautiful property! Felt like a hidden gem. A great place for a couples get away. Brandy at the front desk was so kind and provided us such a warm welcome at check in. She went above and beyond to give us a list of recommendations for things to do on San Juan Island.

Far exceeded expectations! Brandy, Janis and Kiley are indeed exceptional! Kiley in particular shared the history of Snug Harbor and offered hiking, dining, and exploration suggestions all of which turned out spot on! More importantly, she was sincere and professional. This is a great little property on the northwest side of San Juan Island. We stayed in a one bedroom waterfront cabin on New Year’s Eve. It's very clean and well-kept. The area is very quiet. It's still only about 15 minutes from Friday Harbor, so it's out of the crowds, yet not too far from amenities.

The resort is lovely. Beautiful grounds great accommodations, easy access to Friday Harbor. Not a single complaint EXCEPT cell phone service stinks (Verizon user here) and made it challenging to navigate the island except for when you are close to town. Snug Harbor is a wonderful small resort with only about 20 units is set between the forest and the bay. It is so quiet and relaxing with beautiful views. The units are very well kept and have all the necessary amenities. The property is not particularly walkable or bikeable to anywhere but with a car you can get to nearly anywhere on the island within 20 min. We stayed for four nights in July and enjoyed ourselves immensely. If we visit San Juan again we will definitely stay at Snug Harbor.

Snug harbor Resort is an excellent place to go when you visit San Juan Island. The cabins are excellent. The amenities are great the location although there is a drive from the harbor as well worth it. It is very scenic.

It was a wonderful weekend away with my mom and sisters. It was so nice to wake up to a water view every morning. It was so peaceful. It was plenty big for the 4 of us, very clean, cozy and all the amenities that you would need. The down side is that it didn’t have a restaurant so you would have to drive about 10-15 minutes to town but we were totally fine with that. Definitely want to go back!

The bed sheets are a bit rough, some higher threadcount would be better and some bigger pillows. We really enjoyed the view right outside the huge windows. The office closes at 5, so plan ahead because that's the store and where the movies, books, games are located. Would definitely come back again.

A perfectly serene and quiet getaway for my husband and me. We had a lovely cabin near the water and a view we could enjoy through large windows. We were cozy with a gas burning stove and lots of warm blankets. We drove to some excellent restaurants in Friday Harbor and near Roche harbor and had some really good food and wine.

This has got to be the best place to stay on San Juan Island! I was by here 35 yrs ago when it was a bait shop and campground. It was cool then but rustic, Now it is so nice! The Pan Abode cabins are wonderful, the grounds are beautiful and the staff was amazing. The coffee shop was nice, and the gift shop store was way more than we were expecting.

This property is so gorgeous! It’s peaceful and quiet, the grounds are immaculate, and the view is incredible. The cabins are cozy, clean, and well-appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful property, which makes it disappointing that the service left such a different impression. We arrived at 3:30 p.m., tired from a long day, and asked if we could check in before the posted 4:00 time. Nila at the front desk said the rooms had not been released by the cleaning crew. We waited outside in the cold, although our room appeared clean through its open front windows, and we saw no one enter it to finish cleaning. When 4:00 came and other guests arrived, Nila complained that everyone had shown up at once and said the rooms had “just been released.” After waiting for the appointed time, that was an odd welcome. The conversation about the property rules was just as uncomfortable. When Nila mentioned the no-smoking policy, I asked where we could enjoy a cigar. She responded by telling us that cigar smoke smells bad and nobody wants to smell it. She then said smoking was prohibited everywhere on the property because of a 25-foot rule around public buildings. I asked about the waterfront, which appeared to be about 50 feet away. Her answer was, “25 feet goes a long way out.” It did not help that our internet did not work and be beds were cheap and very uncomfortable. On our last morning, someone entered our room to begin cleaning at 9:15 while we were carrying bags to the car. Checkout wasn’t until 11:00. The property itself is worthy of five stars. I wish we had felt as welcome as the surroundings were inviting. The front desk can improve alot
