Delta Hotels by Marriott Utica

Great breakfast! Friendly staff. A little tired. Adequate gym and pool.

My only critique is the heating inside the hotel, the bad wifi, and no tv service. The hotel was very cold, I even asked the staff if this was normal and was told yes. I had NO wifi and tv service. I tried to connect multiple times to wifi guest with no success. I tried to watch regular tv and i got nothing. I ended up using the Pluto tv app. OTHER than this minor inconveniences, the staff is Awesome, the bar is good, pool was heated which was good, everything is clean and organize. I will come back again in January.

The room was outdated with wallpaper peeling. The elevator was broken. People did donuts on the parking garage roof outside our window in the middle of the night. We also choose this hotel because of the pool which was booked for a private party?!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I found the area to be convenient and easy to navigate. You are close enough to be able to walk to a few restaurants and coffee shops. I also liked that the Nexus Center and Adirondack Bank Center were very close by and only a 10 minute walk away. My only complaint is the parking situation and how it is $10 per day to park in a parking garage. However the gate to the parking garage is consistently open so you might not even have to pay! Overall a great stay and I will be recommending this hotel to anyone I know that stays in Utica.

Staff was great. Only issue is elevators (all of them) broken. Should be giving a food voucher or something to make up for it. Good hotel though otherwise

The elevators were super slow and jumpy. Our toilet flushed so loudly and violently it was frightening. The tub dripped constantly. The area around the hotel is dodgy.

The lobby and front entrance are 5 stars; however, the bathtub in room 304 is chipped and the pipes make a very loud noice upon flushing. Gym treadmills need to be replaced or maintained as at least two are loud. Staff was great and would definitely visit again for a business trip.

Absolutely TERRIBLE! The security bolt was missing, removed from the door. The room was disgusting and filthy. The floors were filthy. The bathroom and shower had hair all over them and were disgusting. I've stayed in many Marriott hotels and I'm embarrassed the name is attached to this hotel!

walking in from the parking garage there were ceiling tiles that were falling apart. The hallway of our floor smelled a bit like smoke but our room did not. The wood looking stickers were peeling off by the fridge and and there were some sort of stains on the tv stand.

I found this hotel through Expedia while traveling through the area. I was impressed with the service provided, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the warmth with which the staff greeted me. The check-in process was efficient, and I also enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The beds at the hotel are very luxurious, and the pool is also lovely.

With the exception of the lobby & the fitness center, the whole hotel smelled bad. Ss

Clean and quiet

This hotel is filthy. The hallways and elevators were sticky and had liquid spilled everywhere. The room and hallway smell of mold and cigarettes and the room was dirty. Upon walking in we killed a spider, found old food in the fridge, hair in the shower and an adjoining door that didn’t properly lock. The tub clogged up after showering. The counters were sticky and the carpet was extremely dirty. The chair is the room was ripped and stained as well. We have been traveling for weeks staying at a variety of hotels and non have been this gross. This is definitely not up to Marriott standards but beyond that this is more run down than a motel. Also, I paid for a breakfast but they didn’t honor it. They charge $16 for a basic breakfast and for parking during the weekdays. The person checking me in was unfriendly and gave zero information including where to park. There was also a loud event happening until 1 am.

It was fine for what we needed: one night stay after a concert instead of driving home two hours late at night. Nothing fancy and the building is a little rundown, but the basics were covered. The "view" from our window was the ballroom, so we couldn't see outside. Small convenience store in the lobby was...convenient!

Could hear the TV in next room very loudly. Could hear the phone alarm in the morning. Very noisy.

The rooms were spotless and the beds extremely comfortable. Check In/check out was seamless. My only complaint is the walls are paper thin - you could hear everything from floors above and below (toilets flushing, showers running, conversations, tvs) the hallway and outside. Other than that if you're looking for hotel in Utica I'd recommend this one.

It’s dingy and outdated compared to where I’ve stayed before. The staff was great but the building is outdated and you get charged for everything. I won’t stay there again.

This is my first time staying at a “Delta Hotels by Marriott”. Walking into the beautiful & pristine lobby. I checked in close to midnight and was greeted warmly by two wonderful and personable associates. Joe (who is an absolute ROCKSTAR) one of the associates who was working the front desk. He checked me into my room that I booked on Hotels.com about 10 minutes ahead of arriving with no issue and got me settled flawlessly. He told me about the best FREE parking spot that I could snag in the area which I was ultimately super gracious for because I would’ve been lost without his expertise on the local Utica parking updates. Not only did Joe provide me valuable knowledge but also skilled customer service with a stellar attitude. He gave me advice on food to eat in the area tailored to what I was craving. Joe even offered much needed conversation for me. I didn’t expect to stay at a hotel last night but due to unforeseen circumstances I didn’t have a choice. Through the power of his interaction with me Joe turned what could’ve been an overwhelming experience for me into a delightful experience and because of every single associate I will certainly make my way back to Delta Hotels by Marriott. From this experience I can say my room was great but the real value comes from the power of every single employee that gave me excellent customer care and left me impressed because not only did they established how excellent “Delta Hotels” but also elevated for me of Marriott’s brand

There was a wrestling event on Saturday and many of the wrestlers an parents stayed at the hotel. The children were unsupervised and was everywhere. Disrupting other by banging on doors, running and screaming in the hallways. the staff was not able to do anything and went on for hours before deciding to contact the coaches! The parents were sitting at the bar and was not bothered by what their children were doing

Elevator broke twice, with us in it once. Then we were advised to "only use the right side" even if we need to go down not up or vice versa. This was after the left side got stuck twice, on the LL. You could feel it. Honestly it was crazy, they had us going through a tiny back alley way to get to the pool. Creepy as hell. The worker's looked so beaten into the roles they don't care. You call, and they literally dont pick up the phones. I regret this place, we coulda went somewhere way nicer and not overhear RUDE comments which were clearly intended for us by staff. What i heard appalled me. Ill hold what it is till I've had a chance to speak to customer service.

We stayed here for a wedding and it was so convenient. Parking in the lot is free on the weekends and street parking looked pretty plentiful as well (for the weekends only, there are some weekday parking rules) Check in and out was easy. Jodie the bartender in the lobby is a dream. She's so nice and the drinks were great. We had a King room on the 2nd floor. It was clean as you'd expect from a Marriott. Bed was really comfy. The only inconveniences were that I wish there was a full length mirror in the room and that the bathroom was too small to have 2 people in there at the same time. Neither a huge deal though. Shower pressure was great and housekeeping staff was also very nice and provided shampoo when we asked. Highly recommend getting a room here if attending a wedding or event nearby.

We needed a place to stay for a night on the way to Manhattan, and this Delta was a good deal on Expedia. Positives: The hotel was clean and quiet. Check-in (after midnight) and check-out were fast. Parking is free in the next door city lot on weekends. Negatives: We were not able to get in touch with the front desk - we tried calling 3 or 4 times en route and were on hold for 10 minutes each time. The AC unit in our room was noisy so we had to turn it off at night (though it was a cool/mild evening so not a huge deal). We wanted a quick fast food breakfast and there weren't really any close by. Overall it wasn't a bad stay, and given the other options and prices in the area we would choose it again.

Positives: Comfortable bed, nice supply of towels Negatives: I was not given the room I booked. Instead, I was given a different kind of room. They claimed a third-party overbooked yet the reservation was confirmed. Curiously, I was not refunded any money for what was clearly a less desirable room. I also found that the "free breakfast" advertised on the site cost $15.95. The elevator was hopelessly slow. Having decided to take the stairs as an alternative, I found them isolated and potentially unsafe. The level of cleanliness was below that of most other hotels I have stayed at.

The area around the hotel is pretty gross. Homeless Bums and urinating in boarded up store fronts. Not the hotels fault, but gross anyway.

I liked that it was within walking distance to the Stanley Theater where we were seeing a concert.

This hotel is very close to the Amtrack Station and city parking making it very convenient when taking the train. There is unfortunately, very littel to do in downtown Utica.

Very nice hotel. Well situated for concerts and shows stage Stanley. Parking is a bit inconvenient, and there’s no valet option. The area around the hotel is a bit run down; but seems to be safe.

Nice hotel. Very clean. Staff was helpful. Parking was ridiculous $10 for over night parking. Hotel guests should have free parking so beware about parking situation unless you can find a spot on side street. Bar is over priced, breakfast wasn’t free. I payed over $200 a night and didn’t get anything complimentary. Beds were comfortable, I would say this isn’t kid friendly at all. Only good thing was the rooms were nice.

Everything was fine, but I find it was annoying to be nickeled and dimed by having to pay $3 for my morning coffee.

Hotel staff and room excellent. Food court not so much. Ordered a grilled cheese on rye. It was served on white bread, just barely warm. Very disappointed. Couldn't wait to get a replacement was going to a concert down the street.

The room was great but the restaurant was absolutely terrible. We waited for an hour for our food while dealing with clientele that was unruly with inappropriate behavior. Half our food never came and the manager acted indignant when we told with him. Will never return.
