La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Marcos

Our hair dryer did not work, if that’s a big deal for you. The lighting could be better, our room was very dim. Other than those 2 picky things, our stay was overall comfortable!

They never clean my room.

The room I got (129) smelled heavily like urine, it was ubearable. They moved me to another room (128), it also smelled and there were urine spots (possibly from a dog) on the carpet. The night was miserable. I did not stay the second night, I contacted Expedia to get a refund at least for the second night since I couldn't go back to that smell had to find another place to stay. Extremely inconvinient.

When I first drove up, I honestly questioned if it was abandoned. The photos made it look much more updated than it was. I didn't realize until I arrived most of the rooms are open to the outside, and I don't love that. My room smelled stale like it had probably been smoked in and there was a frozen Bud Light left in the mini fridge. Guessing it had not been cleaned out rather than it just being the world's most pathetic mini bar.

Got home and developed bites all over my arms and neck. Our room had bed bugs!!!
