L’ho scelto per la vicinanza al mare, infatti ha una discesa privata e compresa nel prezzo. Spiaggia molto bella, organizzata e pulita, era presente ogni tipo di comfort, partendo dal bar con uno staff gentilissimo e finendo alle docce calde gratuite, molto comode. L’albergo è grande, molto pulito e dispone anche di una bella piscina con vista mare. L’arredamento forse è un po’ da rivedere essendo un po’ datato però nel complesso è stato tutto molto bello. Ci ritornerò

Really nice location at the coast with wonderful sea view (when you have this room category) and balcony. Very good breakfast with good Capuccino, nice pool (not too big though), very nice separated beach area at the sea (very short walk)

Vista panoramica, struttura un po’ fanè ma ugualmente ben tenuta e dignitosa. Qualche piccolo miglioramento possibile nei bagni delle stanze e la pulizia delle vetrate panoramiche. La gentilezza e la cordialità dei 3 concierge però, unito a una tranquillissima piscina e alla spiaggia privata ben tenuta ti fanno godere del soggiorno. Promosso ;)

We had an amazing stay! Checked in a little late in the afternoon and pool was closing, but they made an exception and allowed up to enjoy the pool. Drinks on the pool deck were amazing! The beach club was fabulous and food was great! We were treated like royalty! Truly impressed and will definitely visit again! Scalea has beautiful beaches and now one of our favorite spots!

What a lovely hotel with a ton of character! Located at the end of the 'beach strip', it was nice and quiet, with an amazing view of the town, the beach and the coastline. Our room was comfortable, and our view from the balcony was 10 out of 10. There was a mini-fridge in the room stocked with water, but for some reason, guests are not allowed to store their own food or drinks inside (penalty is 5 euros/day) - we found this strange? The staff were super friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was really good - and the eating area had floor to ceiling windows with views of the beach. The pool was nice, warm and clean. Great location, just a 10-minute walk to shopping and restaurants. On Monday morning, there is an open market in the city center that was a lot of fun to visit! Staying at Scalea was definitely one of the highlights of our Italy trip - it was beautiful, quiet, and resort-like. We really enjoyed staying at the Grand Hotel De Rose and hope to stay there again.

Pros: -very kind and helpful staff; -everything was very clean. Cons: -old structure, rooms and halls need some renovation; -food was acceptable, but not good enough for the price -LOTS of stairs, had some struggle there as we had our trolley.

Tutto bene ma bisogna migliorare nel parcheggio in quanto piu volte non sono riuscito a sistemare la propria all'interno della struttura e per quanto rigurda la stanza il frigo bisogna cambiarlo in quanto obsleto non raffredava e quindi non ho usufruito le bevande all'interno in quanto anziché di essere fredde erano calde per il resto colazione eccelente e anche le pulizie ottime.

Wir waren zu viert und 7 Tage vor Ort. Die Zimmer waren sauber und es gab jeden Tag frische Handtücher und das Bett war sauber bezogen. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und bei Fragen hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend und es gab einfach alles, von Salat bis zu den leckeren Croissants. Von hier aus kann man gut Ausflüge unternehmen. Parkplätze am Hotel waren im Preis inbegriffen aber da das Hotel ausgebucht war mußte man jede Lücke nehmen. Wir hatten aber immer Glück. Essen konnte man landestypisch an der Strandbar was sehr lecker und Abends sehr praktisch war da man nicht irgendwo was suchen musste. Wir hatten auch Auswärts bei Ausflügen gegessen aber das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, die Qualität und Auswahl war stimmig, und erst der Sonnenuntergang. Wenn wir wieder nach "Calabria" in dieser Gegend fahren ist das Hotel unsere erste Wahl.

Hotel pulito e personale cortese e disponibile. Ci hanno anche omaggiato la colazione. Ci è piaciuto la pulizia della camera e la posizione dell’hotel con piscina e spiaggia privata dedicata agli ospiti dell’hotel. Noi abbiamo fatto una notte ma consiglio anche per più notti.

Opholdet levede desværre ikke op til vores forventninger. Havde forventet højere værelsesstandard ift. prisen. Værelset var slidt ift. de billeder der var vist på booking.coms side. Badeværelset lugtede desværre meget af kloak og lyset i entren flimmerede/blinkede. Det vi oplevede burde være opdaget af rengøringspersonalet og ordnet inden værelset blev meldt klar. Værelset var desværre i øvrigt ikke klar ved vores ankomst kl. 16. Super skøn strand ved hotellet med gratis solsengen og parasol.

The room was outdated and smelled a bit moldy and felt damp. The bathroom had been updated, which was nice. The staff was kind and the breakfast good. Beach access was a plus!

Our room was spacious and clean overlooking the sea. The bathroom is dated but functional. Breakfast was great with many choices. Beach cabana was nice too with chairs and snacks available. Would definitely recommend

The private beach access is great the breakfast was great. Room was clean and bed really comfy. The downside was the Air conditioning didnt work, only the fan. We told the front desk staff twice the first night with no resolution (just checked something in the back office) the following morning we told them again. They sent someone who turned the thermostat down 2 degress but it was still not blowing cold air. We left the window closed and the fan running while gone for lunch the cleaners shut it off and opened the window to 28 degree weather which defeats the purpose of Ac. Told the check out clerk on departure to complete disinterest. Very frustrating experience and don't stay in room 215

Die Lage des Hotels zu Scalea und dem Strand ist super. Über das Hotelgelände kommt man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten an den Strand. Schirm und liegen sind im Preis inbegriffen. What a lovely hotel with a ton of character! Located at the end of the 'beach strip', it was nice and quiet, with an amazing view of the town, the beach and the coastline. Our room was comfortable, and our view from the balcony was 10 out of 10. There was a mini-fridge in the room stocked with water, but for some reason, guests are not allowed to store their own food or drinks inside (penalty is 5 euros/day) - we found this strange? The staff were super friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was really good - and the eating area had floor to ceiling windows with views of the beach. The pool was nice, warm and clean. Great location, just a 10-minute walk to shopping and restaurants. On Monday morning, there is an open market in the city center that was a lot of fun to visit! Staying at Scalea was definitely one of the highlights of our Italy trip - it was beautiful, quiet, and resort-like. We really enjoyed staying at the Grand Hotel De Rose and hope to stay there again.

Hotellet ligger utrolig fint til. Litt vanskeligheter med at Google sier du skal kjøre kjempe omvei for å komme dit. Men hotellet er greit. Rommeene er gamle, trenger en real makower. Aircon funket ikke om du ikke henger nøkkel til rommet der som betyr at det blir glovarmt når du ikke er der. Ellers er betjening fantastisk. God beliggenhet, flott strand området, men servicen er der beste jeg har opplevd på lenge

Struttura posta alla porte di scalea, con stanze che affacciano sul mare, anche se non abbiamo dovuto prendere quella che affacciano sulla montagna, la stanza era nel complesso accettabile con frigo bar e aria condizionata e cassaforte, l’ arredo era un po’ antico ma tenuto bene, il bagno ristrutturato risultava almeno quello della nostra stanza un po’ stretto soprattutto lo spazio tra il water ed il bidet nella doccia mancava una mensilità per appoggiare il bagnoschiuma. Il lido dell’hotel non era niente di che è lo stesso per il ristorante sulla spiaggia,c’è una piscina con bar annesso sotto l’albergo molto carina. Colazione buona, molto completa nelle scelte, e con affacciata sul litorale. Insomma nel complesso è da provare soprattutto la parte delle camere che affacciano sul mare che sembrano più curate,il personale e molto gentile e simpatico. Con qualche accorgimento sicuramente gli avrei dato un giudizio più positivo.

Purtroppo l'accoglienza da parte della signora che se ne occupa si conferma sempre scontrosa, poco paziente ed aggressiva. Non è la prima volta che soggiorniamo in questa struttura: tutto perfetto tranne lei.

The private beach access is great the breakfast was great. Room was clean and bed really comfy. The downside was the Air conditioning didnt work, only the fan. We told the front desk staff twice the first night with no resolution (just checked something in the back office) the following morning we told them again. They sent someone who turned the thermostat down 2 degress but it was still not blowing cold air. We left the window closed and the fan running while gone for lunch the cleaners shut it off and opened the window to 28 degree weather which defeats the purpose of Ac. Told the check out clerk on departure to complete disinterest. Very frustrating experience and don't stay in room 215

Wir waren zu viert und 7 Tage vor Ort. Die Zimmer waren sauber und es gab jeden Tag frische Handtücher und das Bett war sauber bezogen. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und bei Fragen hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend und es gab einfach alles, von Salat bis zu den leckeren Croissants. Von hier aus kann man gut Ausflüge unternehmen. Parkplätze am Hotel waren im Preis inbegriffen aber da das Hotel ausgebucht war mußte man jede Lücke nehmen. Wir hatten aber immer Glück. Essen konnte man landestypisch an der Strandbar was sehr lecker und Abends sehr praktisch war da man nicht irgendwo was suchen musste. Wir hatten auch Auswärts bei Ausflügen gegessen aber das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, die Qualität und Auswahl war stimmig, und erst der Sonnenuntergang. Wenn wir wieder nach "Calabria" in dieser Gegend fahren ist das Hotel unsere erste Wahl.

We had an amazing stay! Checked in a little late in the afternoon and pool was closing, but they made an exception and allowed up to enjoy the pool. Drinks on the pool deck were amazing! The beach club was fabulous and food was great! We were treated like royalty! Truly impressed and will definitely visit again! Scalea has beautiful beaches and now one of our favorite spots!

Really nice location at the coast with wonderful sea view (when you have this room category) and balcony. Very good breakfast with good Capuccino, nice pool (not too big though), very nice separated beach area at the sea (very short walk)

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und bei Fragen hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend und es gab einfach alles, von Salat bis zu den leckeren Croissants. Von hier aus kann man gut Ausflüge unternehmen. Parkplätze am Hotel waren im Preis inbegriffen aber da das Hotel ausgebucht war mußte man jede Lücke nehmen. Wir hatten aber immer Glück. Essen konnte man landestypisch an der Strandbar was sehr lecker und Abends sehr praktisch war da man nicht irgendwo was suchen musste. Wir hatten auch Auswärts bei Ausflügen gegessen aber das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, die Qualität und Auswahl war stimmig, und erst der Sonnenuntergang. Wenn wir wieder nach "Calabria" in dieser Gegend fahren ist das Hotel unsere erste Wahl.

Very beautiful property next to the sea. We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty as we we’re staying in Scalea only one night on our way to Calabria- a gem for sure. The hotel manager and staff were very kind and helpful. Beautiful beach and access to it is easy. We want to visit again for a longer time. Breakfast was great as well. They had a very nice Buffay with a lot of different options to choose from.

Die Lage des Hotels zu Scalea und dem Strand ist super. Über das Hotelgelände kommt man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten an den Strand. Schirm und liegen sind im Preis inbegriffen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Das Zimmer war geräumig mit genügend Stauraum für Kleidung. Das Bad klein, aber ausreichend mit etwas größerer Dusche. Das Frühstück war leider unterdurchschnittlich und nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Der Frühstücksraum ist Richtung Meer mit viel Glasfront. Die kann jedoch nicht geöffnet werden, das die beweglichen Fensterelemente nachträglich abgedichtet wurden. Das kpl. Hotelgebäude ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, dennoch war alles sauber.

Fint hotel som lå skønt. Fantastisk god service da vi skulle om booke. Morgenmaden lidt tarveligt. Mange tomme fade selv om der var over en time til lukketid. Der var massere af personale i restauranten men manglede nok en som var ansvarlig.

We had an amazing stay! Checked in a little late in the afternoon and pool was closing, but they made an exception and allowed up to enjoy the pool. Drinks on the pool deck were amazing! The beach club was fabulous and food was great! We were treated like royalty! Truly impressed and will definitely visit again! Scalea has beautiful beaches and now one of our favorite spots!

What a lovely hotel with a ton of character! Located at the end of the 'beach strip', it was nice and quiet, with an amazing view of the town, the beach and the coastline. Our room was comfortable, and our view from the balcony was 10 out of 10. There was a mini-fridge in the room stocked with water, but for some reason, guests are not allowed to store their own food or drinks inside (penalty is 5 euros/day) - we found this strange? The staff were super friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was really good - and the eating area had floor to ceiling windows with views of the beach. The pool was nice, warm and clean. Great location, just a 10-minute walk to shopping and restaurants. On Monday morning, there is an open market in the city center that was a lot of fun to visit! Staying at Scalea was definitely one of the highlights of our Italy trip - it was beautiful, quiet, and resort-like. We really enjoyed staying at the Grand Hotel De Rose and hope to stay there again.

Pros: -very kind and helpful staff; -everything was very clean. Cons: -old structure, rooms and halls need some renovation; -food was acceptable, but not good enough for the price -LOTS of stairs, had some struggle there as we had our trolley.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff helpful. The hotel is perfectly positioned and has private beach access with deck chairs and beach umbet. The Lido has a lifeguard. Bring along some beach shoes as the beach is pebbly.
