Pool is under repair. Didn't get the breakfast as left too early. Friendly staff at check in. Quiet room. Somewhat outdated but fine for the little bit I was there.

The front door was always locked had to be buzzed in. Side doors couldn’t be used. Had to have door keys re-keyed twice. Only two towels in bathroom. When asked for more was given 4 medium sized towels. Beds were comfortable, air conditioner worked really well.

Half of lights in room did not work, TV did not work, shower head was installed wrong, door did not want to lock, elevator buttons were about broken and almost falling out of housing (3rd floor). Breakfast was a joke and even coffee maker was broken. This property is in serious need of an “undercover boss” to visit this place. I stay in a lot of hotels even small motels and this one is in need of attention.

In a very in poverty area. A lot of homeless around the property. Pool was closed due to renovation and it was advertised before booking. Carpet in rooms were very dirty! The water smelled like mold and the breakfast was only a bagel and an orange nothing else. Literally nothing else! Parking is limited especially because you would not want to park on the sides because of the homeless walking around. All side entrances are lock due to strangers walking through this area. The entire exit of the highway where the property is located look Deserted and very ran down! The back patio area was gated and facing the back of the dollar store where a few homeless people were sitting. Heather at the front desk was very nice!

The area around this property seemed depressed. In arrival there was a young man sitting around in trashy are directly across from the entrance in the parking lot. It seemed he was hungover. This was a bit suspect. The front doors were constantly locked (good). Upon arrival there was no one at front desk. I had to ring a bell and wait for front desk to release the door to enter building. My room was clean but the carpet was worn ragged where the tile met the carpet. When I first got to my room the door was open. Door to room could be pulled back past door stopper. The service was good and the staff was friendly.

The outside and inside looks nice at first. Not ONE ive machine worked. The gentleman that checked us in was so rude. The water pressure was so bad it was a little trinkle that took over 10 minutes to even get hot. 2 coffee makers in the room neither one worked. I would not waste my money again at this place

Staff was very nice. Room comfortable and big. Plenty of electrical outlets. Wish their swimming pool was usable; sign said renovations, open in the future. They need to repair the automatic door cam, secondary door into lobby only opened half the time. Fortunately I was able to signal door for someone else to come in, and someone was able to let me in later. Also, disappointed there was no Continental breakfast (or coffee) in the dining room as advertised.

You know there's a problem when you have to knock to gain entry to the lobby at 5:00 PM. 1st room I was given was terrible. Tile portion of floor was sticky; bathroom light did not work; tub was rusty; weird stains and blobs on the walls; fire alarm was missing battery; I know this because the battery chamber was stick out, sans battery; all the metal in the room was rusty; the AC cover was broken, the furniture was broken, the mini fridge was missing and there was mold growing where it used to be. There was dirt and debris around the bedstand. The second room was marginally better, still disgusting. The pool was closed for "renovation." Staff was friendly but clueless. Breakfast was a joke. Do not recommend.

Pool was not available due to renovation and elevator went out a couple of times but staff and facility as a whole were accommodating to the best of their availability I would stay here again compared to other places in the area

Pool out of service, shallow dirty water and hot tub empty. Room unlocked upon arrival with no towels. Questionable cleanliness. Remote control looked chewed on, buttons all missing, stivky texture. Blankets torn & stained. "Breakfast" was unacceptable, 5 bagels, 7 apples, stale cereal & milk, bad coffee, nothing of substance. Microwave smelled like death, was filthy. Bath tub stained & rusted Only perk was being next to highway, the cable & refrigerator

When we arrive, the front lady was very nice. We went to our room. Our sheets were filthy. There was rest in the bathtub. I did call and ask her for an alternate room as I walked down the hall it reeks of a heavy marijuana. I walk into the second Room, and the floor is so wet I almost fall. The sheets are no cleaner. It has a odor that smells like mold and the tub was rusty. I do not recommend this place.

The room was very dirty, shower had not been cleaned in a minute. Floors needed moping and carpet vacuumed.

When we walked in, the lobby smelled like weed and you could very obviously tell the front desk lady was high. Doesn’t usually bother me but it might bother others. The room was extremely dirty. Brown spots on the sheets, hair on the sheets and in the tub, bathroom wasn’t mopped because there was urine spots on the floor before we used anything. Toilet was stained brown, the bathroom faucet moved all over the place out of the countertop. Giant rust spot in the bottom of the tub. Breakfast was bare minimum and there was gnats flying all over in the muffins/bagels cabinet. I’m not one to complain usually, but for $124 a night, it’s not worth it. I’ve stayed in WAY better hotels for the same price point. The staff was nice enough, but we barely talked to them so who knows.

The room was not clean, my daughter was laying on the bed and a roach fell on her. Couldn’t take a shower because it was so dirty. I had to get someone to fix the tv. The so called breakfast was an apple. I’m not a picky person but I’d rather stay in my hunting tent before I ever stay at another one of these hotels.

Upon arriving at the front lobby, I encountered several issues. The front door was locked, requiring me to use the intercom, which is not Deaf-friendly. I had to press the button repeatedly. When the woman finally came out, she appeared visibly upset. I explained that I am Deaf and cannot hear. She then allowed me to enter. Once inside, I checked in and proceeded to my room. To my dismay, the air conditioning was running despite the outside temperature being only 15 degrees. The room was freezing cold. I immediately turned off the AC. Furthermore, the desk chair was broken and unusable. Exhausted from my journey, I decided to stay in the room rather than deal with the inconvenience of seeking a replacement. Adding to my frustration, the lamp on the left-hand nightstand was not working. I also discovered that the power adapter in the room was faulty and did not charge my iPhone. To make matters worse, I woke up the next morning with a burning sensation on my neck. Upon closer inspection, I found that I had been bitten by a bedbug. I addressed these major issues with the front desk receptionist, providing her with my name and contact information. She assured me that she would inform the manager. However, I never received a text or any other communication from the manager. The breakfast provided was subpar, but at least it was something. I had driven all the way from Atlanta, Georgia, only to experience such poor service. This was unacceptable. I believe I am entitled to a full

I typically stay at budget hotels. Don’t need all the fancy stuff, just a clean room. This place needs some real house cleaners. Dirty, used soap with pubic hair in shower, with dried snot on the walls. No new soap also. The bed had hair on sheets and pillows. Come on !!! I doubt this room was even served, but if it was, fire the cleaning maids. UNACCEPTABLE !!!

This was my second visit this week to this hotel. The first visit was without incident, however, this second visit I discovered that roaches also occupied the room. I was disappointed to see this.

This is one nasty hotel. Bathroom was so nasty, didn’t even clean it from previous residents. Was offered a different room and ran into the same results. This hotel is run down and nasty.

Perfect spot for an in and out stay. Very quiet.

Good place nice rooms

Very nice rooms but had to wait 15 minutes at the front desk before a manager showed up. Coffee pot in room doesn’t work. Water pressure low.

The room was not well maintained. Lights and outlets didn't work. AC was extremely noisy. Faucet in bath tub was really loose. Rust stains in bath tub. Stuff on the bathroom walls. Dirty wash towel from prior stay.

The room were nice and clean. The bathroom tub was a little rusty and water pressure was very low. The bathroom mirror’s light was half on. Other than that we had a nice stay.

Was pleasantly surprised by this one night stay. After traveling all day in pouring rain, I was not in a mood to do anything but sleep. The staff was pleasant and helpful. So the hotel is a little bit beat up with normal wear and tear. It was a great stay!

It was okay for a night stay. It had a musty smell and the tub was rusty.

We stayed here for a full week. To be honest, I have only one pretty decent complaint, but I'll start with the good stuff first. Amazingly spacious room, huge ceilings, lots of storage, bed was really comfortable. However, the water pressure of the shower, was atrocious. I have long hair, and I was in the shower for over an hour just to make sure the product was completely out. It was pitiful, and honestly, bad enough to knock off 2 stars of the review. It was...so bad.

Well, the girl who checked us in was RUDE. She said no early check-ins even with me asking to pay the fee. Get into the room, NO LIGHT BULBS!!! Bathroom mirror doesn't work, no bath towel, floor wasn't vacuumed and the mirror wasn't wiped. The coffee pot had ashes in it. Absolutely TRASH! We ended up leaving after check-in and seeing the room.

Checked in late and we were given wrong key and then wrong room key and she acted as if nothing wrong happened

Positive part is that the staff was friendly for the most part except when you had to manually open the door when the card didn’t work. The beds were comfortable and our grands had space to color. They should be at the front desk. However, that is not their fault since it seems that the poor management by the owners are putting one person at the front at a time. Breakfast was awful. It needs to say grab and go breakfast. The room was never serviced and we could tell that the vacuuming was not down before our arrival by the dead dried bug that was stuck in the carpet or the shower curtain that looked a little dingy. We stayed here years ago when it was Best Western Plus and newly opened which turned into a downhill hotel at the end, too. We thought under a different name it may be better. The grounds just didn’t need mowing, it needs landscaped redone. This hotel has a sign up to pardon their dust in the pool area. The price of $80 to $100 a night is too high. Treat this one like the Super 8 down the street...stay in it for 1 night if you are desperate and all hotels are packed between Shreveport and Minden. Close this hotel down and renovate it correctly.

I’ve stayed in 20 properties in the last 10 months, and by far the staff here were the nicest. Always a smile, a chat, or a joke, and always have time for a question. The windows don’t open so it’s A/C only but that’s to be expected with the weather, so if you’re an asthma sufferer this may not be great for you, otherwise it’s great. I have to work while I travel so peace and quiet is essential. This place is just that. Even in the evening when it gets full, it’s still very quiet. I got lots of work done here. I will most certainly be coming back this way.

From the moment I walked into the hotel lobby I felt completely at ease. The amazing lady at the front desk was so sweet and helpful and I when I got to my room, I was not disappointed. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy and plenty of towels. The microwave, coffee maker, and fridge made my stay so much better- oh and the breakfast too :) I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. This will always be my first pick when I come to Shreveport!!

Double booked our room after we checked in for the night

The receptionist at the front desk was rude Extremely nasty attitude! I asked her where was the bathroom while she was checking me in i was on the road for five hours and she told me it was locked! And the front door was locked when i was trying to get in to be checked in ! The stairs was full of trash ! It was a best western plus we would stay here then it was actually a nice property when it was franchised bbut whomever has it now don't give a f*ck how it looks !

Waited 30 mins to be checked in, clerk was nowhere to be found. Then when she showed up, while checking me in, she walked away and got on her cellphone again. Lobby was full of other people waiting to be checked in. Patio area was filthy lights did not work. Breakfast was horrible, no coffee, no juice, no cereal had a few pieces of fruit out. Also, employees parked in handicap parking. My husband is handicap and we had to park on the side. Neighbor is very shady as well.

Great location! Nice remodel, loved the lobby area! Wish I could've stayed longer to enjoy the hotel room more. Will definitely book again when in the area.

I checked in, went to my room and immediately booked a room at another hotel on my Hilton app. Room looked clean but smelled horrible. Not sure what the smell was. Driving into the property, back area populated with people hanging out drinking. Not a safe area, especially for somebody traveling alone and from out of town

When I arrived at the property it was run down and sketchy. I went inside to check in and I was told that I had to put a cash deposit down. I was not comfortable at all doing that. So I left and did not return. The pool was algae infested and was looking more like a pond that was unkept. This also is in a bad part of town. The hotel next door had drug dealings in the parking lot. I would not stay here or recommend this hotel until it gets cleaned up. I can't comment on the room as I never made it that far.

The stay was fine but I was disappointed the breakfast I thought it was supposed to be a full breakfast and it was just pastries which I cannot have so that didn't do me any good. The exterior of the property is in pretty bad shape. The photos on the website are older, I'm guess it was when the property opened photos. There is just a large cloth or paper sign attached to the exterior of the building with the del Mar name on it, as soon as I saw that I was scared to walk in. Also there were a lot of people walking up and down the street and behind the property in the neighborhood kind of made me feel a little unsafe. The room had a wet spot on the carpet and the room smelled kind of musty I have allergies and so this was not the best for me. If you're looking for a good deal and you're not too concerned with the exterior and location this is your place.

The staff were extremely nice and informative. I would consider this a hidden gem. Convenient to the high way and downtown Shreveport.

This Hotel is close to the airport . Easy accessible by a quick Uber ride ! Very nice staff. You get what you pay for .. nothing luxurious here. My room wasn't vacuumed from previous guest stay but the room otherwise was nice. Room phone didn't work but the hotel felt safe !

Beds and room were good! We enjoyed sitting outside but there was a bus stop or something because there were alot of foot traffic. The dollar store also had alotnof people sitting ouside trying to get your attention.

Breakfast was awful! There was no food! No coffee! No juice! No water! It was 8:30 in the morning. I asked the front desk to restock the breakfast items. The guy came and put slices of bread and a few muffins on the tray. Of course we had no butter, jam, or anything else to put on bread slices. The pool was also empty of water. No sign letting people know the pool was out of commission. The front desk guy worked at a sloth’s pace. I would not recommend this hotel. Even the tv remote was broken in our room! At least it was clean.

Property advertised continental breakfast. And the property did not have anything! No coffee. And it was dirty.

The only breakfast at this place was apples and stale donuts and muffins, and *no coffee*: The coffee machine downstairs in the breakfast area did not work; there were no k-cups for the Keurig machine in the room. Everything else about this place seemed OK including room cleanliness. Just know that when it says breakfast is included, it is not.

Just noticed that there was old pee collecting around the bottom of the toilet. And it was obvious that the room wasn’t vacuumed. There was specks all over the carpet and a old dried up French fry. The pool wasn’t in working condition. The whole reason why I booked this room was for the pool. No coffee in the room. And none in the lobby as stated in the description. The breakfast was not worth paying the extra money for either.

Check in was great, bath room shower had mold. The breakfast was terrible, juice you had to pour yourself, Sunny D. Cranberry juice was old. The morning person was more worried about being on the phone then the breakfast area.

Hotel looked like it had been updated, but smelled wet like they had busted pipes. Carpet was sticky & there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Complimentary breakfast was all bread items, no protein available.
