Casablanca on the Ocean - East Tower by Design Suites Miami

Casablanca Hotel has access to the beach. We arrived and there were no chairs or umbrellas. We've rented here several times through another platform, and there were always some. My husband had skin cancer and needed some to go to the beach. We had to buy some ourselves, and we were traveling with our 6-year-old granddaughter. The power went out several times, and we were without air conditioning and without an elevator on the 6th floor. We didn't have a great time. I called the reference number, but no one ever answered.

Stayed 2 nights with my family. The lobby was under construction. We had to pay $35 each day for parking. Kitchen cabinets are falling apart they are very old. The room, kitchen,bathroom should be updated 5 years ago. The windows had gaps so we could hear the wind blowing. It’s a very nice location, large pool , very close to the beach.

I stood in the multiple bed 1 bedroom everything was good beach right there pool and security where very friendly

Nice heated pool. Steps from the beach!!! Lobby is a bit dated, but clean!

In a rough condition, poor wifi when it works at all, expansive parking but location on the beach is good, view on the ocean is nice. Overall so so but acceptable if on a budget.

Very good for the price, Right on the beach, has a kitchen, Ocean view. Very easy check-in check-out. 1 -1/2 Block from Publix supermarket. 30 minutes from Miami International Airport. Will come again.

Clean linens and room. Old chipped paint. Bathroom door wouldnt shut. Smelly hallways. Restaurant was closed the entire time. Communication all via email, very informative.

Don’t come here I parked my car here for 30$ a day the forts day got a scratch on my car told them they said they would handle it never did I tried again they gave me a paper to file a claim. Rooms dirty and small hallways smell communication was horrible didn’t know English at most times I didn’t feel comfortable

Would rather self park! Valet only! Should not have to pay to park! Too expensive to what we got! No beach chairs or umbrellas!

The pool was nice, the condo was very basic but was fine. Until the pest control came to spray for roaches. We did not see any roaches during our stay but that did worry us for the rest of our stay. The building is aged but is in a good location.

Läget är det enda positiva med detta hotell. Väldigt smutsigt och nedgånget. Rummet var skabbigt med rost i duschen, svartmögel på väggarna, skåpsluckor som hängde samt smuts och vattenskador överallt. Det värsta var dock den ständiga lukten av cannabis i korridorerna som även trängde in i rummet och som totalt struntades i trots upprepade påvisnigar. Mycket tråkigt när man är där med familjen och sina barn.

The property was horrible cockroaches in the cabinets. Sheets and linen were dirty had air in them. Expedia shouldn't even offer this as a choice of rooms. Very disappointed.

From the lobby to my room at Casablanca Hotel, cleanliness was a glaring issue. Dirt on the walls and ceiling, coupled with an unsightly ceiling fan, presented an overall unacceptable living environment. The bathroom, described best as "horrible," featured conditions that fell far below the basic standards of hygiene and comfort. The cumulative effect of these issues made my stay at Casablanca Hotel not only uncomfortable but also deeply disappointing.

Room was very rundown and unclean. Whole apartment complex/hotel needs renovating. Location was great and right on the beach. Easy access with busses from the city centre and airport.

Property is run down, needs a renovation badly. We stayed almost a week and they gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper (for a family of 4). They provided beach chairs and um brella, but they were broken, and when we went to the front desk to see if they had a different one they replied saying that was not with them, that the unit we were in was "separate". Bed sheets had holes in it, towels were smelly. The only good thing about the hotel was that it was right at the beach.

The hallways were filthy as soon as I got to the 9th floor it smelled like marijuana cigarettes and we dog. The hallway carpet was gross. Once inside the room the paint was peeling from the ceilings. Tub was dirty and the shower curtains. The bed sheets were dingy you could see right thru to the dirty mattress. The window curtains had stains all over them. I left and stayed elsewhere. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

This room and building is very out dated. We did not recieve wash clothes only towels. Most of the outlets in the room didnt work. The microwave barely worked. It took forever to warm something up. The sheets had stains on them. As soon as we walked in, i wanted to go somewhere else. I just dont understand as a property owner why you would want your proprty to look like that.

It was great for beach access. Nothing in our room worked. Coffee pot was broke. Stove was broke. We had to switch on and off the breakers to use it. Toilet would tflush half the time.

Minha estadia no Casablanca foi muito boa. Quarto amplo que acomodou minha familia direitinho. Vista do quarto espetacular para o mar. Acesso facil à praia. E localização boa. Recomendo muito a hospedagem.

Our room was dilapidated. No bedside lamps, bad condition. Cigarette burns in the sheets and 160 follars tax for 2 nights

Disappointing and Uncomfortable Stay — Would Not Recommend From the moment we arrived, the experience was underwhelming. Building staff were smoking right in front of clearly posted “No Smoking” signs and didn’t even acknowledge us when we pulled in for valet—almost like we had to greet them to get service. The room itself was in poor condition. The furniture looked like it came from IKEA years ago—worn out and fragile. The bed frame was broken, the bathtub was rusted and dirty, the stove didn’t work, and the curtains were literally hanging by a thread. The AC unit was so loud it was hard to sleep. To top it off, there was a woman who apparently lives on the property and caused multiple scenes—yelling in the lobby and nearly getting into a fight at the pool late at night. The staff knew her and basically excused her behavior, saying she’s not a bad person and treating her carefully, which gave the impression that even they were uneasy around her. Overall, the experience felt chaotic and uncomfortable. We spent most of the weekend laughing at ourselves for booking such a “ghetto” stay. Definitely not somewhere I’d recommend or return to.

I booked this last minute and to be honest based on price. And I got exactly what I paid for. The property is NOT a hotel...it appears to be condos that people rent out. The property itself is fairly grubby, but OK. There was a pool and direct access to the ocean and the walking/bike path. Nice. The room was very plain. The bedding was minimal, but comfortable. The A/C worked. I could connect to the wifi, but there was no internet when I did. I actually had a partial view of the ocean and pool area, but no balcony from which to really enjoy it. There was a coffee machine in the kitchenette, but no coffee and no paper towel, so you'll want to do some shopping at the convenience store across the street. The fridge worked. There is a Hilton two doors down with a fun bar and restaurant, and another good restaurant across the street. But you'll be taking a taxi to much of anything else. In short, it met my needs as a single guy just wanting a place to crash, but I would not take a wife, girlfriend or family here...spend a few extra bucks and go to a real hotel. They are selling units for $300k-ish, and I considered making the investment, but I think you can do much better. The building is really kinda bleak. The drive from MIA is over an hour in heavy traffic, but at 4am on a Sunday morning we did it in 20 minutes. Would I do it again?...eh, in a pinch mostly because I know my way around it and the area. Would I recommend it to friends? Absolutely not. They'd never forgive me.

It's an old property and poor maintained. The range for example was broken. Besides, internet speed was very low; wi-fi strength was ok but outside connection was poor. We couldn't watch YouTube even at low resolution

Lo malo esque en la recepción ponen a pura gente guebona que no quieren ayudar cuando necesitamos algo siempre están de mal humor y no limpian los cuartos

Owner is stingy. Communication is terrible.

This place is horrible. We got into our room and found out that our shower was not working so we told the front desk and they said they could not do anything. They gave us a number to the owner and it didn’t work. The place had ceiling leaks all over it and pets were in the hotel even though it said no pets allowed on the website. False advertising and terrible service I would recommend staying away from this place and I want my money back.

Blankets were not clean and front desk was not able to provide clean blankets or exchange rooms as the property does not own the rooms. The rooms are owned by individual people who are not at the property and unable to be reached.

From other reviews, I was expecting a whole lot worse. It was okay. The internet was not great. Close to the beach was great.

The location is excellent. If you are looking for a place just to sleep without concern of the amenities, this is the perfect place. It is in an area with easy access to public transportation but the room was not like the pictures. The facilities are very old and the staff is not very friendly, except for the security guard. Also, the hallway smelled like marijuana all the time. Excellent area, but they should improve the facilities.
