Great place to stay right at the marina. Easy walking distance to nearby cafes, restaurants and cruises. Only downfall was not being able to park on the secured gated carpark due to cleaning machines being stored there which meant parking in public carpark and lugging our belongs to our 3rd floor room

Excellent staff. Nice pool. Room clean and adequate. The gym could be better and the sauna was not very hot. Was surprised that room wasn’t serviced once in a 5 night stay but we had our own supplies, and would of asked for more if needed.

We had an amazing time, the view was great, the area was peaceful and the room was perfect. The only minor issue we had was that there were ants crawling all over the walls since before we got in the room so I'm not sure where they were coming from.

Based on my recent stay at Mantra Hervey Bay in room 417 I would say that I would more than likely not stay there again. For a price of nearly $350 a night you would at least expect the room to be fresh and exceptionally clean but all I got was a very overpriced room that was filthy and very dated. I have stayed in backpackers that were cleaner and more modern than this. The dated clock in the room didn’t even work and the paintings all had mould over the front of the glass and behind the glass. It smelt and the walls were all patched with plaster and cracks. See photos for details.

whilst the staff on check in / out and the view from my 2 level hotel room was great. The property its self is rundown, the photo's of the hotel room on the advertisement was not what we got at all. The shower had hair from another person in it.

Literal faeces on the toilet paper left on the roll. A disgusting amount of limescale built up in the kettle. Then they took the $200 deposit from my bank account and told me on Sunday to call my bank to get my money back. Disgusting. Don’t waste your money. They’ll take your deposit money and leave you stranded like they did to me.

The Staff were more than helpful, no complaints at all. The room was a different matter. *The cupboard handles BOTH came off in your hand when opening the doors. * There was an Ant problem, to the extent that they were in the bed. * Although the result of a storm, there was no hot water. This was later fixed. All in all, an uncomfortable stay.

I liked that the property was walking distance to dining. My negative feedback is TV is very small, unsalf having shower above a bath, getting into and out the shower. View was a massive disappointment but we had a corner room 414, It looked massive on the photos but then it was small and not very good.

The Unit was clean and the staff friendly, however the unit was dated. It took a long time for the water to become hot, there was no separate shower with a shower in bath which was too big a hurdel for my wife to oivercome. The toilet seat was new but musthave cost a dollar asit was so thin it creaked every time tou moved. The bedside lamps had no switch on them and were plugged in behind the bed,so impossible to use unless you moved the bed.Dont get me started on the slow WiFi and TV.

Overall pleasant but dated. What was very poor though is the spring loading on apartment doors. Every door would slam closed and make a very loud noise. We were woken up so many times, including from as early as 5 am when other guests left their rooms whether checking out or just going to exercise.

On arrival we were given a room situated between a ground floor management unit complete with a bird in a cage (my friend who was with me is asthmatic so this was not ideal) and permanent rental on other side. On the outside deck there was a random broom head on the lawn and view of a brick wall. When we questioned wifi use of tv with reception we were told to use our own data as wifi not ideal in that part of resort. The real kicker tho was the fact that an employee of mine knows the manager and we were given a bottle of wine and chocolate to enjoy the dungeon room. Very sad as many rooms with a view were available but we’re not offered to us ….we would have happily paid extra. Customer service non existent when we mentioned at checkout so unfortunately will never return (we are already planning a return trip to the area) and has tarnished the Mantra reputation for us.

Great location and beautiful views. I was quite happy with my stay. The rooms themselves are a bit dated and the one I was in did not have an area to have my suitcase. A microwave also would have added to the amenity considering that the hotel does not have a restaurant or room service within. Saying that, restaurants and the boat club are within walking distance and other Hervey Bay restaurants, pubs and clubs are only a short drive or taxi ride away. Friendly and helpful staff were a pleasure to meet. Will stay here again.

No room servicing - had to ask for toilet roll - clean towels magnetic to hold open door doesn't work - staff comment "there are several like that". Standard of room needed attention - unable to reach light switch from beds placed together to form "queen or King" - no in dining - have to source nearby restaurants - staff comment "there are plenty out there" - staff comment when asked about luggage trolley "there maybe a few somewhere outside" All in all would never stay with this group again

While the room was not quite what we expected (as per pictures) it was still a decent room. Although items in the kitchen required washing before using. Balcony view was not quite what we hoped for… but I think I know why there were slightly different prices doe what seemed to be the same room online. A little more info may have prompted me to spend that little bit extra. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Pool was gorgeous. Plenty of food options by the hotel which was great. Please get a new bed and blockout curtains - lights from the walk ways are always on (of course) but when trying to sleep, you always felt like it was daylight outside. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable (rm 333). Otherwise we had a nice stay.

Couple of bars/restaurants within walking distance, whale watching trips from the hotel too. Nice walk along the esplanade. Staff very friendly free parking, views over the marina, large rooms with separate living space

We stayed here for 2 nights and all I can say is I was extremely disappointed by this hotel. I had emailed ahead to say we were staying for my boyfriends 30th birthday so if something could be done on arrival that would be great, we entered the room and there was nothing, so that was disappointing especially that the hotel is now apart of ALL chain, you would think they would have something in place for it. (Our next hotel had a box of celebrations and small bottle of champagne to compare) we arrived back from dinner on Friday night to find ants in the bath and an ant in the bed!! The next morning, I went down to reception to inform them, assuming a room change would be offered because there was an ant in our bed! I’ve worked in hotels on the front desk and never would I keep guests in a room if they complained about this so that was the most disappointing. I was asked if it would be okay for someone to come up and spray the room, which I agreed and asked if the bed sheets could also be changed because of the ant, I was told of course. This was at 9:30am. We arrived back to the hotel at 1:30pm after being gone all that time, to a knock on the door when we only entered the room 2 minutes. It was house keeping saying they were there to change to sheets. Why this couldn’t be done all that time while we were gone was mental. Barely got an apology for the situation. Would not recommend this hotel, it’s very outdated especially the carpet. Was a big disappointment.
