Sleep Inn & Suites near Spirit Mountain

Was very disappointed to show up and find out that the hot tub was broken. Last time we looked at booking with this hotel The pool was not working. They seem to have a quite a bit of trouble keeping their facilities working. Also the breakfast was nothing to ride home about.

Pool and hot tub were down. Very disappointed as we were looking forward to doing some pool therapy.

Was greeted right away and check-in went smoothly. Was even asked which floor I preferred to be on. The place was neat and clean. The room was clean and everything worked! The shower is amazing and has a strong blast of water coming from the shower head. I walked by the pool, but did not take a swim. Parking is great! Easy access off 35W and wide parking. There is additional parking (good for trucks) in the back. Gas station and McDonalds made it super convenient. Great hotel to stay at a decent price compared to hotels deep in Duluth.

Family was very disappointed that online said hotel had pool and hot tub. That was one of the biggest reasons we decided to stay at the property. We checked in and went down to pool area only to discover that the pool area was closed. If something is out of order or service website should clearly state that things are not up and running.

Smack next to a semi truck stop for fuel. Also right next to train tracks. Both loud until around 10, 11 then nothing. Pool not working but hottub was. Terrific price! And brkfst! Very clean and friendly.

Hotel was overall good for the price. Hot tub was down for maintenance and there was some areas that were not cleaned. There was previous persons drink still in fridge.

Was not impressed with the customer service at check in. We asked about getting a room on the back side of the building, away from the highway. We were told that only if we had booked a king bed would we be on the back side and since we had made our booking through an outside company, we couldn’t change it. I offered to pay them the difference in cost which they refused. The first room they assigned us was not cleaned yet. The next room had supposedly been cleaned. It had the beds made and towels…but the room was filthy. There was food and other things all over the carpet. The toilet, shower/tub and bathroom sink were not clean and had hair everywhere. The mirror was splashed with toothpaste as well as some on the soap dish. Forget about looking under the beds. ( all sorts of trash under there) The mini fridge had food drippings as well as a bottle of lemonade in the freezer. I’d never stay here again.

Our stay was fine. The rooms could've been somewhat cleaner (dirty hand towel, bugs in the windowsill, and ripped curtains) and there was an odd smell when you first walk into the lobby.

Room was dirty, clothes left from previous guests. Hair in the shower. Cable tv didn’t work properly .Jetted tub had broken controls. Other guests smoke non stop in front of the doors and were very loud in the common areas at midnight or even later.

We loved the location, the cleanliness of the facility and our room and the kindness of the staff!

This hotel used to be kept up, clean and looking nice. Its outdated and very dirty. Glass doors/handles had smudges on them and greasy handprints. Our room was dusty and hair left over in the bathroom, lipstick on kleenex box. Handprints on the table and handprints on the windows. Just not worth the price I paid for one night. The staff were scarce as well but they were nice and friendly.

This hotel is very understaffed. As such the breakfast room is dirty well into the evening. Staff seemed burned out. The location is next to the highway which is convenient but noisy. Beds were not comfortable and the fridge was loud.

Staff was friendly, but hotel is very run down. It worked for the one night stay we were in town for, however would not stay at this hotel again.

Tv didnt work until we got back tk the room at 11:00pm. Window fell out of opening when we shut the door . Room waa clean and breakfast was good.

Bed was A1 in comfort. Was not aware of the freight trains that came through all hours of the day/night right outside our window. Front desk did not have any ear plugs. Had to make a point to shop for some the next day.

The jet tub in the room didnt work.

The air conditioner in in our room (240) did not work. It was one if the hottest days of the year.

Warm pool, breakfast, plenty of parking, located right off 35 and near a gas station and McDonald's. Front desk staff was really nice; we loved the warm pool and the water pressure was great in the shower. Also had a hot tub! Basic hotel with basic comfort/ beds/rooms. Great for a quick overnight stay at a good price.

this hotel needs help...they don't have enough staff to keep things running smoothly. When we arrived (about 45 minutes before check in time 3:00 PM) we were told that they still needed to clean 20 rooms, so there are not any rooms available yet. We looked into the breakfast room to see if we could wait there, because there were not enough places to sit in the lobby -- it looked like it had not been cleaned yet. I told them our party of 6 (3 rooms) would wait on their front porch. about an hour later, I went inside to check and see where things stood, because other guests had started to arrive also. I wanted to make sure we received rooms first since we had been waiting for over an hour already. I waited for 20 minutes before anyone came to the front desk, and they were not very friendly or apologetic for not having rooms ready, but I got them to write our names down on a list. Another hour passed and the three men went to check on rooms, they did get our rooms! One had no towels at all in it, and the door was left wide open, no hotel employees around. They finally got towels later that evening but she was told where she could find them, and had to get them herself. One couple had to tighten the toilet seat down before they could use it, and all of the rooms had very poorly made beds with wrinkled sheets. That evening when we arrived back after our event, we heard an employee say that this was normal for Friday evenings. Not impressed, will not choose to stay here again!

Had some issues with my reservation where staff had filled my room with someone else and I didn’t find out until I was trying to get into the room.

There was never anyone at the front desk. Always had to ring a bell when you needed something. After a couple days of being here all you had to do was check outside... there they were outside smoking. Sickening. They were not friendly at all either, like they were being interrupted... Find someone who actually likes to work with people!

Person who checked us in was very friendly.

My room was not ready when arriving and I arrived really late at 9pm. They were good and got me another room though staff were friendly

Under-staffed - Under Construction - Upon arrival at 4pm, room wasn't ready. Returned an hour later and the room assigned was under construction with furniture being stored. Seemed to be a lot of confusion around what rooms were actually available. Only one person working the front desk.

We were assigned 3 different rooms before we finally got to check into our room due to lack of communication on what rooms were cleaned and what were not

A little far outside Duluth but there is a McDs and gas station beside it so the essentials are walkable. Rooms are nice and price is great. Booking again soon, as a matter of fact.

The room we initially got hasn’t been clean yet so we got move to another room. It’s right by the highway so it can get pretty annoying hearing traffic. It is next to McD and a Holiday gas station which is nice. The staffs were descent.

Very convenient to Spirit Mountain for our ski weekend!

We’ve stay at this place several times in the past for our son’s ski races at Spirit Mountain which it’s extremely convenient and breakfast is a plus, or so we thought! This time around we were extremely disappointed that by 7:30, there we no eggs left, barely any food including coffee. I had to keep asking the front desk guy for more coffee, more creamers, more eggs, etc. The hotel was filled with skiers so breakfast is a plus when you have to run early in the morning to the mountain so having no breakfast like advertised, was a major disappointment.

Good location near Duluth downtown.

It was quiet and away enough from downtown Duluth that it was easy to get to, but close enough that downtown was only about a 10 minute drive, if that.

Floors were filthy around hallways and public areas. Floor in our room wasnt even vacuumed, chips on floor. We went to breakfast at 8:45 (open till 10) and no meat, little remaining eggs cold/gross (I threw them out) all juices empty, no cheese, no yogurt, no bagels. We had to ask if breakfast still going on. There were two similar priced hotels across the road from each other and we picked this one as the breakfast looked better, we wont be back.

Everything is very good besides of breakfast. There weren't really much to pick from. Fried eggs and sausages ran out very quickly.

We experienced a very clean room with excellent customer service and also a great breakfast included. We’d definitely stay here again!

Breakfast was horrible. There was a filthy waffle maker, three English muffins, a half gallon of milk left on the counter for cereal and not much else. I would not stay there again.

Didn't care to much for this place at all. Terrible workers.. continental breakfast they offered was very sad.. ran out of everything and was not at all what was supposed to be. Who manages this place?

This was a convenient location, Yet we were discussed with the management who filled the breakfast bar with ungloved hands. He touched all the breads, English muffins and bagels.
