The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. There was a problem with one of the rooms I reserved HVAC unit that required the person to move to another room at 2am in the morning. The staff that checked us out said they couldn't give a discount for the inconvenience because the room was reserved via a 3rd party company.

We got to the hotel at 5pm to check in and was told there was a global outage - he took my name and number and said he’d call when it came back up. Didn’t know how long. Out friends got there before us and they waited also- but then he gave them a key to a room and they got in. Not for us- we went to dinner- was gone for a couple hours- came back to hotel and still couldn’t get in. We were 3 hours from home with an event first thing in the morning for my daughter. We waited in our friends room for a little bit- then checked again with the desk- he said still down- and we need to find other somewhere else to stay. This was at 9pm. Too late to get into anywhere- but the money was already taken from my account for the room the day I booked it. After he said find somewhere else- I called hotels.com, I called spark hilton- headquarters- I couldn’t get in touch with anyone. Finally within that hour- the system came back up- I asked if we got a discount or free stay for this- he said no since it was a third party booking. Once we got into a room- I found a dirty washcloth on top of the shower curtain that was stiff and stuck to it. And a bug crawling on the tub- - when I looked more- there were several black bugs dead on the bathroom floor next to the tub. It was a horrible experience- I won’t stay again at that spark hotel or any spark hotels.

We went to dinner was still unable not until 9:30 at night did they tell us we may want to find a new place to stay at that point everything was booked the system went up and they let us in only for us to go to sleep wake up and leave. They had no back up plan for if something happens to the system. The manager left one up front desk worker alone knowing they system was shut done not allowing any room keys to be made.
