Quality Inn & Suites Abingdon

Gulvtæpper på trapper er beskidte, brug elevatoren. Når man kommer sent til morgenmad, men en halv time før lukketid, er der ikke fyldt op, tevand/kaffe og varm mad er ikke holdt varmt, pandekagedej er opbrugt. Ærgerligt med plastik bestik og service. Alt for meget affald, men det er gældende alle steder her.

My family and I as well as my wife’s parents have stayed at this Quality Inn many times over the past 7-10 years …. Albeit 1 or 2 night stays. All were for Emory and Henry’s Homecoming. Prior years the hotel seemed to be maintaining higher standards. The rooms were nice, we aren’t expecting The Ritz etc, we do expect clean appropriately appointed rooms. Something I realized with this weekends stay I reserved a room through Hotels.com, when asked for the number of people I entered 2 adults and 2 children. Everything was decent, the room you can tell hasn’t been updated, there are 4 or 5 significant water stains on the ceiling and a couple of cracks at the joints. In the bathroom, there are dispensers for shampoo and conditioner…. No body wash, both the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty, as well as the lotion dispenser. Fortunately, we brought (as always) our own. Had we considered or needed to give our kids a bath/shower we would have been short 2 bath towels. Again I reserved a room for 4 people. I don’t care that 2 of the occupants were children. The continental breakfast, coffee in the decanters was “warm” … the overall quality has diminished. The entire hotel needs to be renovated to current standards. The nightly rate for the condition of this Quality Inn was not comparable with other hotels in the area. When we come back, we will stay somewhere else.

This is our go-to space when in town for E&H football. Unfortunately, this time was not as good as previous. There was NO hot water, the water got lukewarm at best. Ended up not showering because I couldn't bring myself to get under the water. I had friends that had stayed the night before and they said the same for the water in their room - they didn't stay on Saturday because of it. The AC also wasn't working very well, the temperature in the room never got below 70, even though I had it set to 67. With the newer systems, the fan only runs when the AC is running so the room was stuffy when the system wasn't running. This was a terrible way to sleep! I am hoping they fix this before we return in a month.

The hotel was clean but dated. Had to ask for clean towels everyday. The TV did not work and the refrigerator was very loud, the hotel was full so we could not change rooms. The staff tried to fix the tv and finally they put another tv and refrigerator in the romm. The refrigerator was dirty inside and the tv still did not work! After 3 days they finally gave us another room with a working tv. We decided to travel elsewhere and they still charged me for the days I did not stay.

It was a mediocre hotel. The best part was the awesome Mexican restaurant next door. Just average hotel. Location was good
