Beautiful hotel in a literal palace. Location can’t be beat. Right next to the cathedral. Easy walking to everything in town. The only downside is parking. Don’t even attempt to find parking in this city. The hotel offers parking for 12 euros in a nearby garage. Take it. You will not find anything better. Gorgeous city.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was very good, served in a spacious and air room. The location was very convenient with parking about 1/2 km away. The historical sites in Avila are wonderful. Walking the length of the wall is very cool.

We were not informed of renovations going on before our stay so a lot of noise during working hours and associated dust (lots of plaster work). Only place we stayed at during a month in Spain where coffee was not available in the room. A kettle would have been nice. Room smelled like diapers. Housekeeper did try to help. She said something about shower backing up and causing that. Bed frame was not comfortable. Only one sheet between very basic mattress and body. Carpets were visibly dirty. Hard to find parking anywhere near hotel. But, the cathedral is right out the front door and that was spectacular.

The hotel is in an historic building next to the cathedral, a 20 minute walk from the station. We had a problem with the room which was due to housekeeping. When we arrived the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty. There was an electric kettle, 2 teabags and 2 glasses, no cups or coffee and only one bottle of water in the fridge when there should have been two. We reported this and it was immediately sorted. When going to bed I turned back the duvet and found a hole in the duvet cover. Also there was something stiff inside the cover. On closer inspection this appeared to be a ladies pant liner which had obviously gone through the laundry and had been ironed onto the inside of the cover and was well and truly stuck. These things were both at the top of the duvet and were immediately obvious to me when I turned the cover down. I don't know how the housekeeper missed them. The bathroom sliding door didn't close completely leaving and inch gap which didn't help with privacy. There was a lovely large balcony but no chairs to sit out on it. On the plus side, the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, hot and cold.

The hotel is located in a very good location, next to the cathedral, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the breakfast, buffet style, is very good ... and despite everything I would not recommend this hotel for a rather annoying detail: the noise of the plumbing. When a bathroom faucet is opened in another room, you hear the plumbing as if you had a loudspeaker in the room, which makes the stay not very pleasant if what you want to do in the room is to rest. It is not a normal plumbing noise, but a really loud and irritating noise. In addition, the ammenities do not correspond to a hotel of this category. For example, in the bathroom I am used to find gel, shampoo and hair conditioner, and in this hotel they only have a shower gel “all in one”. And although the room was a double room for two people, there were only ammenities for one person (only one toothbrush, only one shower cap,...).

Amazing location. The lobby was beautifully renovated. The room we staid in would benefit from the same. Decoration slightly outdated and some amenities such as coffee machine or kettle would bring extra value. Staff was super nice.

These guys are shady & not helpful. They have signs everywhere advertising their breakfast, but nowhere on any of their signs does it say that it's not included in the price of the room. Very sneaky, and definitely not worth 13.5 Euro per person. Be upfront and let people make their own decisions - shadiness is never the answer. Also, their so-called AC is horrendous, non-functional, and the filters are disgusting. The front desk workers are not helpful. Will not be back to this hotel.

Staff at Palacio de Valderrabanos was great as they were very helpful even as we made our check-in an hour after new years. The property is amazing and with a very rich history, so very recommendable to stay. Parking was not that close and was not part of the hotel, but is understandable in such a historic landmark. Extremely recommended.

La ubicación del hotel es fantástica, al lado de la catedral. Aunque carece de parking puedes parar delante de la puerta para cargar y descargar las maletas. Sus habitaciones son fantásticas y la ambientación del mismo es ideal, así como la zona de lectura o charla. Silencioso para un agradable descanso en habitaciones amplias y cómodas. Me gustó comprobar que admiten mascotas. Mi estancia en él fue muy agradable.
