The staff are really nice, friendly. I enjoyed my stay and id visit again. My only issue was the wifi. I had to stay somewhere else just to get my work done on my laptop.

The property was very filthy in the area where me and my family were there was house piles of trash in the corner on this on the area where I was pee against the wall the bathroom in our unit was not clean at all the shower was filthy the appliances were extremely old no amenities no soap thank goodness I took soap with me to stay there to bathe with or shower with the air conditioner unit was not working properly kept us up at night because it was hard to regulate the heat and it kept overheating could not get coins from the desk clerk she was out but no one was using the laundromat so where were the coins we need a night shift desk clerk for tiles soap other items needed after 7:00 if there was Wi-Fi we were not informed about it there was a phone in the room but it was not working elevators were not clean laundromat door could not close once you enter which is dangerous at night I did have an incident but thankfully no trouble my son and I were uncomfortable with one tenant who claimed the laundromat did not work for weeks since he's been there would not stop asking us questions and coming into the laundromat with no laundry did not feel safe this was at night if he's been there all week why bother me at night very uncouth. I wish I had photos was he thinking about taking photos was only there for overnight stay but the condition speaks for themselves The fosters were loose

Elevator broken, no trash can in room, no staff 7 pm to 11 am

The staff were friendly, helpful, attentive, and hard working but the owners need to renovate the property and hire extra staff to keep the outside areas clean and free of trash. Also, the WiFi was horrible. It took a very long time to load web pages! I couldn't do my work.

This facility is truly an embarrassment for Red Roof Inn Corporation to have their name associated with it. In addition, I suggest that the Expedia Travel Company remove it from its selections of hotel lodgings. Emergency, nor Courtesy Phone or lines worked! Computer and Debit Card machine was down and no television signal.

No electricity for 4 days and they didn’t give my deposit back yet because they don’t have power. How does a huge hotel not have generators

Had late arrival due to delayed flight. Was told to use the courtesy phone and someone would come check us in only there was no courtesy phone anywhere to be found. Full garbage bags laying around everywhere. One pillow on the bed toilet was broken and ran all night. Never booming this hotel again

For the past 2 days. The hotel's Internet has been down. And for some STUPID reason you can't connect an antenna to the TV and just watch regular channels. For the life of me I can't throw any good reason for that.

Decent room… wish it was cleaner when I got in there. Will definitely book again but will also say something if it isn’t nice. Lovely staff. “Homemade” ashtrays outside rooms & laundry sitting outside 2 nights in a row.

Tires flatten, police report complete with pictures, pending prosecution. This hotel assisted me with a hotel room in a state of housing crisis that added stress and worry looking for another place and tire.

Overall: Highly sketchy and dirty motel. Almost all of the rooms are rented by long term residents (i.e. homeless individuals). A ton of sketchy things happening around, prostitutes, etc. Many of the cars in the parking lot are barely functional and missing windows, etc. Not worth the slightly cheaper cost to stay here compared to other motel/hotels in similar ranges within the Detroit area. Service and Cleanliness: The room looked nothing like the photos. The motel office is only open a limited set of hours Mon-Sat. Our room was obviously not vacuumed or cleaned thoroughly, and we’re pretty sure the sheets were not washed because they had hair everywhere. There were piles of dirt and dust in all corners and under the table, bed, etc. The room reeked of cigarettes and had obviously been smoked in long term. The pillows didn’t have protectors, and the duvet didn’t have a cover on it. There are stinky piles and piles of trash on each level of the stairs of the motel. There are no clear instructions provided regarding check in, check out, or for concerns after hours, all the way to what to do for trash disposal or toilet paper replenishment. We were scared to both leave our cars overnight in the parking lot, or sleep in the bed in our room in case of bed bugs. We did not sleep the entire weekend.

Absolute filthy. Walls floors dirty large gaps around door when shut. I refused to stay there.

The room was horrible. It smelled of stale cigarettes, and beer. Front door looked like it had been opened with a crow bar at one point the badly repaired. Had to pull door extremely hard to close it. Bathroom door wasn't planed properly so you couldn't close it at all. Sheets were stained. I paid for 2 nights but after trying to spray air freshener, we couldn't stand the smell, we left room in middle of night.

I had a nice stay away from home which was needed. But, the room wasnt as clean. I had to change my own sheets and blanket. The floor was dirty, and the neighbors were loud and rude.

The horrible experience ever, I end up sleeping in another hotel. Dirty nasty bugs everywhere!! Unsafe!!! Not recommended!!

Check-in took about 15 minutes because the girl did not seem to know how to do it. Room was extremely dirty and bed was not comfortable.

This hotel is a scam. None of the pictures posted look like what it does now. Rooms are trifling with a filthy stench of mildew. Due to the time of day I was unable to get refund as to book elsewhere. IT IS OBVIOUS this place is NOT UP TO CODE. We even bought food from the local Walmart to cook that was COMPLETELY wasted because of how dirty the kitchen was.

You had to sleep on the same sheets for 1 week, bugs ( ants, spiders). In the bathroom, sink was falling off the wall, siding coming off. Door was damaged. That should be enough information. I was a little disappointed. The room did not have drinking cups and the shower curtain was not long enough so that water pooled on the floor. There was no iron available for me to iron my dress shirts and there was only one pillow. The front desk was nice enough to give me an extra pillow. Lastly, the toilet seat was loose.

I didnt like the fact that the room has a stove but it didnt work. And dishes were not provided so if i was hungry oh well for me. I would have to spend extra money. The room came with 1 tiny bar of soap. 1 half used roll of tissue.

I like how they little apartment type hotels and you can stay as long as you need that's dope a fully equipped kitchen very quiet and safe.

The stove tops did not work did not receive towels after a week stay I had to purchase my own and the room was not clean the Internet did not work front desk agent was very rude

The door was broken wasn’t able to locked the door on the outsides so we had to stay confined to the room because of our belongings one bed had pillows while the other bed did not so we had to buy pillows out of our pocket we couldn’t complain because no desk service was closed for the duration up until Monday 11 am 24 hours later then I given them a cashed deposit then they refunded it in a check terrible

The room itself was nice and majority of it was clean. I will say that this place isn’t a hotel, it’s an apartment building lol. Whole families live there and it is extremely noisy. The children use the building and parking lot as a play place. They aren’t rude or anything just know that it can get rather noisy,

So much went wrong with our stay… the main and biggest thing was that neither the key card reader nor the actual bolt on the door of our room work. Someone could have literally just turned the handle and walked in. When I spoke to management about it they said they already knew (did NOT disclose that to us upon check in) and added that there were no other rooms available and that they were unable to fix the door at that time (we only stayed one night). We had to take all of our belongings out of the room any time we had to leave the hotel. They took our money knowing damn well that the room they gave us was NOT acceptable for a paying customer to stay in. Don’t waste your money here.

I like the hotel in general but lately, a lot of arguing and fighting has been going on. But it's usually rectified quickly. Other than that. My stay is good. Then there's the TV with no menu or program info.

The hotel office closed at 11 pm, Expedia reservation never had the check in details . I have been charged for 1 night stay for not even able to get into room .the hotel staff never answered calls

The hotel cancelled my rooms the morning I was to arrive. The lady at front desk had very ignorant & nasty attitude. Then stated the hotel was booked.I had to find another hotel.

Nobody in office , rats and garbage outside the property, we did not stay because they did not found the reservation, the gentleman of the Night Shift was nice , office close at 7 pm , you have to arrive early

Online the property says they only take credit but when I got there they said they only take cash. The women up front were not nice and the whole place is filthy!

It was an awful experience at HomeTowne Studios , Detroit - Livonia!! I had reserved 2 rooms and when we reached at 10PM on the day of the check-in, there was no staff available. When we called emergency number, the guy asked $50 additional cost per room for him to come and check-in. We did not accept the offer and instead we looked for another hotel nearby & stayed there. Totally, it was a terrible experience at this hotel. I would never chose Home Towne Studios for my any of my future trips. I don't even recommend this to my friends.

FRIENDLY STAFF ALWAYS AT YOUR SERVICE. !

It starts with the staff. Horrible fromt desk staff. Just rude and angry. It was like she was pissed I'd shown up. Then no pillows in the room or toilet paper. The remote control didnt work. They actually deactivated my key while my son and I were out and lucky for us the emergency crew man was there and made a phone call to get me back in. He was great but he had to convince the person on the phone i wasnt lying even though i had more than enough proof. The sink wouldn't drain as well.

I arrived at 2:30 AM after a delayed trip. Office was closed and dark. Wmergency number posted for 'After Hours' service. Reservation said check in was any time after 3pm. There was no note that the office would close, and not open until the next day. Called main, and Emegency numbers, no answer. Chatted with Hotels.com, they also could not get anyone. I was gorced to make another reservation at another hotel. They actually had the neeve to charge me for NO SHOW.

One very nice desk lady, one very rude I've. Checked in, went to a concert, didn't realize until we got back to the room at 11:30 that there was no shower curtain no towels and nobody in the office until 11 the next morning. Check out time is 11:00 I called the office at 11:00 asked him if we could stay an extra hour because we have no towels and we had no shower curtain and the lady said we don't do extended checkouts and I said well you're not in the office you all left early last night and you can't get a hold of anybody until check out time and I paid $70 for this room and I'm we're going to take a shower and I need a towels and I need a shower curtain I went down to the office they handed it all to me I put the shower curtain up myself and I took a shower and then that lady was incredibly rude she gave me 30 minutes the other lady said an hour she said take it as long as you need it's fine but that rude lady came back up the stairs we're doing room sexy you're supposed to be out of that room and I was like well it takes it took me 10 minutes to come down there and get the stuff and bring it back up here and two of us are taking a shower and you know world leave when we're finished and she was back in 5 minutes demanding that we leave.

Worst hotel I ever stay there front desk is closed on Sunday so if your room key suddenly stops working you will be locked out of your paid room until the office opens back up on Monday unable to retrieve any of your personal item from the room no one to call nobody to help just locked out and they also have shopping cart full of trash on each floor with families of giant rats running around throughout the night and a bunch of vacant room that are left unlocked from squatters to lounge in and do drugs
