My three star rating mainly has to do with the Elevator situation. I am certain that this is not the first time you all are hearing of this due to the confusion that everyone that I ran into was having the same issues of knowing where in the heck they were. I wish I had an answer or suggestion to give you, but I do not. I’m specifically speaking on the garage elevators. As far as everything else it was great. The Elevator situation was a little out of control.

The service at the hotel is amazing from valet parking, front desk, restaurant, to the cleaners. The hotel does need to improve maintenance. Only 1 elevator working, no temperature control knob on refrigerator, bathroom needs a door that closes, & also a vent in bathroom.

Everything was perfect at the hotel, we used the pool and it was warm and clean. The restaurant was fantastic and the staff were friendly and courteous. When I needed hot water or had questions, the front desk was there to help.

Building is very old and has some disrepair. Walls in our room were deteriorating and they covered them up with wallpaper that barely adhered. The atrium overlook was closed the whole time and my young son asked one of the employees why as he really wanted to go inside. They told him it was under renovation...which it clearly was not at all. The pool was pretty run down with the pool floor and walls deteriorating and large chunks breaking off and laying on bottom of pool. Pool also had two large spiders in the bottom when we tried to swim one morning. The shower head in our room didn't work properly and the stream of water was but a trickle. The A/C in our room was not enough to cool the room either. It had to be set at 64 degrees to be able to keep the room at 70 which actually felt like 75. The location of the hotel is the only thing that we really enjoyed as it is close enough to everything without being downtown Cincinnati.

Elevators were super slow. Breakfast was very standard and cold. Didn’t have traditional tasters so it took forever to get any color in the bread for toast. Evening clerk asked us for room number and name to add waters and snacks onto our room. There was a clearly drunk guy hanging around talking to the clerk. Not welcome I am sure bet he should have been more discrete because then the drunk guy repeated our babe and room number and said he was going to have a blast on us by charging our room for his drinks.

Excellent customer service, very clean room. Convenient to walk to restaurants and downtown Cincinnati. Only one small complaint, there was a strong air freshener scent in the room that was very overwhelming and not overly pleasant at first. We became nose blind to it after awhile, Overall, an amazing hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Everyone we encoutered was very nice. There was some sort of blue spots in our bathroom sink, I'm assuming left from housekeeping. There was like a black smudge of something on our comforter. The bathroom door offered as much privacy as a public stall; it was a sliding barn door. In the morning around 9:15 someone knocked on our door and when we didnt respond they keyed in and tried to open the door. Luckily we left the extra latch closed. We assumed maybe housekeeping made a mistake. Called down to the front desk who apologised and said she would let them know. Then about 30 minutes later they came back and tried to come in twice. They left when we yelled that we were in there. Not sure what it was about. Told the front desk on our way out and they offered no explanation even though it was definitely an employee since they had a key. We have 2 kids and came here for a date night after the reds game. Can't sleep in when people keep trying to come in your room. My husband accidentally left his nice owala water bottle in the room. We called the front desk they told us to use "ileftmystuff.com" and gave us the code. I just got an email saying it wasn't there. Bad stay.

We were looking for a nice hotel with a pool for a night away. The photos online looked nice. But in person, the hotel needed maintenance. The wallpaper in our room wall peeling away and dark color moisture issues could be seen behind the wallpaper. Room smelled musty. The items from the previous guests were still in the frig. Dirt and dust on door to bathroom. Caulk repairs done messily. Just missing attention to detail overall. Pool was adequate but missing the sun and freezing. Restaurant didn’t open until 5pm and we were starving, so we had to go out - Ubered to Cincinnati side and had a nice dinner on the riverfront. Staff was all nice. I would staff was the best part.

We stayed here for a concert in town. The staff was very helpful and nice. However the cleanliness was awful. We found a toenail on the bathroom floor, there was brown “stuff” smudged in the bathroom door, the sheets looked like they used king sheets on a queen bed, and the TV was not functioning. They did come to the room twice trying to fix the TV but it was temporary and we eventually just turned it off. For the cost, we were incredibly disappointed on the condition of the room. The hotel was booked, so there was no possibility to change rooms.

The only thing i can say that is good about this hotel is their staff. They knew they were horribly understaffed and fighting, but they werealways pleasant. Now the bad.....took an hour to check in, put in wrong room at first, then they couldn't figure how to change it even tho i was able to show i hadbooked 2 queens not a king. The room was not clean, one walk across the floor in new socks and they were blackened and had hair on them. Blech! There were stains on the bed, the fridge was dirty, only a half roll of toilet paper, tub was chipped, and hair in sink. Also, at 350 bucks a night, id like to see a microwave and a suitcase holder in room. A large portion of our group found out on Saturday morning (of a thurs-sun stay) that the hotel had double booked them with wedding people and they were booted to a hotel several miles away via EMAIL! Our even was AT THE HOTEL! Now....about that wedding... Saturday night at 9 pm they started blasting music to the point i could see my curtains vibrating in the room 2 stories up! This went on until after midnight....i felt sso sorry for the bleary eyed pilots i talked to the next morning at 5 am who had to OPERATE AN AIRCRAFT! And expect nothing for your Marriott rewards membership here.... Marriott can do better....

Thought I'd spend a little extra on what is supposed to be a nicer hotel. Save your money and go elsewhere. Terrible experience. The most important thing about a hotel is comfort and sleep. #1 I could hear a bunch of noise, people from the bar when I went to bed and I was up on 15th floor. Terribly uncomfortable beds, and absolute WORST PILLOWS I've ever tried to sleep on. I got 2 hours and 55 minutes of sleep total, fragmented. I think it was probably closer to 2 hours of sleep. Not sure how I'm supposed to function today. I Even tried grabbing a bath towel and rolling it up and using it in place of these awful pillows. Also, there's no hot tub, parking costs extra and so does breakfast. And supposedly there's a good view of the city but there's no patio or balcony to go out and admire it from.

For a property with a good reputation, and prices to match, we had a relatively awful experience staying at this hotel. It would take a long time to list all of the relevant details to support my statement, so instead I’ll simply list off a few of the problems we encountered. Upon entering the room for the first time, I was hit with a heat wave, the thermostat said it was 78° in the room, and the unit was switched off. So I switched it on, set it to 68 and it showed “cool”. When I reached up to feel the air it was pushing into the room, it was hot air. I called the front desk and explained the issue, they sent an engineer to investigate. Despite his best efforts he couldn’t identify the problem, but he mentioned that if he disabled the heat entirely, the A/C should work normally. I said I didn’t think I’d need the heat, so that is what we did. The room I booked listed a bathtub/shower combination, my room had only a shower, I was told later by the staff that river view rooms don’t have bathtubs, no matter what the Expedia site told me. When I attempted to take a shower, most of the jets on the shower head didn’t work at all and we clogged entirely. Showering was miserable and I only took one the entire stay due to how poorly it functioned. The television would turn itself off while I was sitting in the room watching it, it would warn me with 60 seconds to press the “ok” button on the remote, which of course did absolutely nothing to stop the countdown and shu

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the River! Exceeded our expectations!! Room was so clean and comfortable!!! The staff was so kind from the moment we valeted our vehicle to checking in! The restaurant staff was so professional and we never had to wait long for anything with any of the staff! We have always stayed at the Hyatt in the past. That has now changed this is definitely going to be our go to hotel accommodations for future stays, and we stay in Cincinnati quite often!

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress sank toward the headboard when one laid on the bed. The fixtures in the bathroom were not properly attached to the walls. The toilet seat was too big for the bowl and it made it uncomfortable to use the toilet. The water pressure was very low and the bathroom did not have a working exhaust.

Felt very unsafe at night. They had 3 weddings there the evening we stayed. Heard screaming in lobby before bed. Woken up at 3:30am with frantic banging on door to our room. Moved a dresser in front of door & luckily had mace with us. Called front desk. They said they would send someone up to check but never followed up. We had to call again to find out what happened & they said they didnt see anyone but lots of the guests from wedding were rowdy & did not seem concerned at all after we told them we didn’t feel safe. It seemed like they were used to that complaint. There is no security & anyone can walk in off street without being questioned. Next day we asked to speak to manager & he offered us a cup of coffee or a free breakfast - unbelievable!! That was the price of our safety. Our waitress had already given us a free breakfast before we even spoke to manager. Apparently guests get a breakfast voucher for a free breakfast & we didn’t get one so she was very nice to do that. The staff there was lovely But the manager Jackson Weber said “sorry” but did not offer to refund our room. We were up from 3:30am & scared for our lives. Will never ever stay there again. If you value safety, do not stay there. Its a free for all. No concern for their guests - just let the wedding parties get out of control to the detriment of their regular guests. Very surprised since its a Marriott. Do better Marriott. And hire managers with a spine who will protect their guests!!!!

This was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had. Especially for a more expensive hotel. We were given keys to a room after driving 2.5 hours with our 11 month old daughter. The keys didn’t work. Had to go get new keys. Went back & walked into a room already occupied with a couple having sex. How embarrassing. We went BACK to the front desk to be told the number we were told originally “was close enough” and it was made into a laughing matter. This was frustrating and extremely unprofessional, not funny at all. No one apologized. The front desk was rude. We go into our room, the night stands have cigarette burn marks all over them. We come down for breakfast we wait over 20 minutes to be seated to then wait another 10 to see what we want to drink. No one came back to check on us. The property & the hotel itself is nice. It’s the unprofessional staff which will make me not go back.

Elevators were super slow. Breakfast was very standard and cold. Didn’t have traditional tasters so it took forever to get any color in the bread for toast. Evening clerk asked us for room number and name to add waters and snacks onto our room. There was a clearly drunk guy hanging around talking to the clerk. Not welcome I am sure bet he should have been more discrete because then the drunk guy repeated our babe and room number and said he was going to have a blast on us by charging our room for his drinks.

My wife and I wanted a weekend getaway and this hotel provided the perfect accommodations for our stay. From the moment that we checked in, the hotel and its staff did not cease to amaze us. As we rode the elevator up to our room, a staff member boarded the car pushing a cart filled with bottles of cold water. We knew that there was an option to pay for a breakfast at the restaurant located in the lobby, but when we saw a traditional breakfast bar, we assumed that was included in our stay. However, as we consumed our meal, a staff member very politely brought us drinks - as well as a bill charging $20 per meal. So, please beware that the breakfast will cost you an additional $20 per person, if you choose to partake in it. Otherwise, the stay was perfect and we cannot wait to go back.

We had an incredible stay! We stayed the night to attend a Reds game and will definitely stay here again. The front desk staff was so nice and helpful. They even let us check in early so we wouldn’t miss any of the baseball game! We really enjoyed walking across the pedestrian bridge to the game. Our room was very clean and comfortable. But the best part was the balcony! Trust me, get the balcony room! We sat on the balcony with a drink from the bar at the end of the night and watched the lights of the city and fireworks in the distance. It was magical. Thank you!

Nice property. Great location. If i had an improvement it would be their staff in the morning. Even then, i suppose they may be following managements directives. We wanted to grab a simple cup of coffee. Most marriotts have complimentary coffee in the morning, or at least a quick place to grab one even if you pay. Here we had to order from the bar. It was slow, oddly expensive and i never did get the cream. A third guy sat with us and found a paper coffee cup, and poured one off the carafe we had already paid for..... so they brought him a bill too. Im not cheap.....but they certainly are. Left a bad taste nickle amd dimeing us.

After paying $52 online for two breakfast vouchers and arriving to find out we could have gotten them in person for only $20 each, we found the entire floor was so sticky and loud with everyone walking on it that it was gross. The staff was rude when we approached about where to sit and we got nothing to drink until we were finished with our meal. Very disappointing.
After paying $52 online for two breakfast vouchers and arriving to find out we could have gotten them in person for only $20 each, we found the entire floor was so sticky and loud with everyone walking on it that it was gross. The staff was rude when we approached about where to sit and we got nothing to drink until we were finished with our meal. Very disappointing.

This is a great location, with friendly helpful staff. The rooms are sizeable and VERY clean. When i walked in the room I told my partner that the clean smell was inviting. There are a couple of small things that surprised me, like the bar/restaurant closing at 10pm and quiet hours after 9pm given its proximity to Cincinnati. And that even though they ask about cleaning the room, there are no hooks for reusing towels, but these things are so minor.

The Cincinnati Marriott at Rivercenter is a beautiful place with a friendly staff that is very helpful. The room was clean the entire hotel was very nice. The restaurant was delicious everything we had there was amazing. Our group was there for a Book event and everything was wonderful.

Great river view and we could see the 7 bridges from our room My only complaint is the complimentary breakfast was $20 a person. For the cost of the room, I feel it should have been free. Other than that, loved it and I would definitely come back. Plenty of places to walk to and Cincinnati Oh is across the bridge!

This property is top notch! ALL the employees were exceptionally friendly and the grounds and building were impeccable! Our room had a beautiful view of Cincinnati, was specious and relaxing. Courtney at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and was very helpful! We are in this area often will book this property again! Loved it! The specialty coffee bar was outstanding!!!

I’m so glad that I chose this hotel. I was in town rooting for my Red Sox in Cincinnati. This hotel was right across the river to the stadium, about a ten minute walk. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a beautiful open space lobby. The lobby was loud at times but it wasn’t an issue for me and my friend because we’re deep sleepers but if you’re not, then it might be an issue. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is conveniently located near Cincinnati but my friend and I discovered that Covington is also a fun area. Staying near the Roebling Bridge is another great reason to book this hotel, you’re in walking distance to good restaurants, bars, and sports venues. I read that some rooms have a great view of the bridge and river.

Super clean room! Great view of the river. Very impressed with this hotel and I stay in lots of hotels. Plus, I’m a germaphobe and I wasn’t at all worried about the cleanliness of the room. The bathtubs are slippery and could use grab bars, The beds weren’t the most comfortable—I could feel the springs—but I slept well. Parking wasn’t the greatest because the Marriott garage ticket dispenser didn’t work. So we had to park in the Embassy garage across the street. That was inconvenient. And it was hard to find the parking garage. But it was still a great experience. Overall, I give this hotel 5 stars.
