I didn't realize or notice when I booked that the room was pet friendly. Of course there was dog hair & a slight smell. If you love animals, this shouldn't be a problem!

The front desk staff and housekeeping were very nice; the room was nice size, plenty of space but the air conditioner did not work properly therefore it was hot all night and the paint in bathtub was peeling/chipping off when water pressure hit it so had to deal with that every time we took a shower.

Our stay was good, not great. The hotel could use some repairs here and there, but nothing that was horrible. The breakfast was good - the kids enjoyed it. The gym was small, but adequate. 2 big downsides: First, this is a dog friendly hotel. So the hallways outside the room smelled like pee and poop some of the time. I get that pets have accidents, and there is only so much the hotel can do. But something to be aware of. And second, the smoking area is right outside the front door. Since our room was on the second floor directly above this area, the a/c unit brought the second hand smoke directly into the room. Seems that the smoking area could be moved further away from the building to prevent this. The rooms themselves were good. Definitely more of a mid-grade hotel.

The only real complaint was about breakfast. The sign and the night staff said breakfast the next morning would be open until 10 because that Monday was a holiday. We went the next morning just after 9 and they had taken breakfast down already. The kitchen person said it was not a Sat or Sun so it closed at 9. We pointed out it was a holiday and what the sign said in addition to what the evening clerk had told us. We were basically given an "oh well" shrug. The elderly man at the front desk didn't really act like he cared either. This meant we had to go find breakfast elsewhere when them having breakfast buffet and not having to leave hotel that early was a large consideration for choosing this hotel. Don't get me wrong, everything else and everyone else we encountered here was great. Just wish the morning people had been on the same page as their signs and what was conveyed upon check-in. The evening front desk person was extremely nice and so was the maid who was cleaning the rooms. The room was great.
