Under construction, poor mattress and lobby renovations going on. The old American Best property……not worth the money spent. I immediately called to complain about facility and roaches in the room. Also provided dirty and grease stained towels and wash cloths

It looked like the lobby had been renovated and it seemed like they had done a few small things in our rooms, but that is not gonna fix the problem when the whole place needs work...

The property is under renovation. And it seems they are using the renovation as an excuse for the horrible conditions. There appear to be several rooms that have completed the renovation process. These rooms are NOT occupied, instead the rooms are empty with the curtains open so you can get a good view of what is not being used. Instead the rooms that are offered are smelly, poorly maintained, holes in walls,and ceilings with a bonus of roaches as well. And Yes, we left. Even after telling the man in the office of the conditions in the room, no refund was available because it was after the free cancellation period. We found a safe, sanitary and secure place to stay and feel like we were lucky not to have been unable to afford to relocate and stuck in a unsafe, unsecured, and most definitely unsanitary room.

It is just a terrible experience. Most rooms around me are used as low-income housing. The traffic in the room next to mine had constant traffic in and out. Very noisy from music blasting. I am handicapped and could not access the ice machine, there was only one and it was in the office. This place was a nightmare! Travelodge certainly has changed for the worse. I would not recommend it.

Kinda rough, but they are remodeling. Good neighborhood. Close to food, Walmart. Bout 30 minutes from OC. We just needed a place to sleep & shower, this was great price for that. Those who don't want to spend alot of money on a room, this is it. Workers were polite and helpful 🙂

The property that I booked online did not look nothing like what it was when we got to the property. Even the name of the science signage was not properly displayed, and the place was under construction, and they had one building completely under construction with lighting and the building that they were running out had no safe lighting nor did they have Non-working ice machines and v ending. Totally false advertisement, and there was no area of breakfast Continental of any sort therefore I think this should be taken and removed from your website until it is fully up and running and looks like what was presented when booking

Old, outdated, blood stain on the sheets, bed was practically on the floor. Door was not secure! We checked in at 9pm. Thought it was strange every light in the room was on. At 4am when I went to the restroom I found out why! COCKROACHES!!!!

The room was infested with roaches! There were guests on the front balcony smoking marijuana. The rooms were not clean, Roaches on the pillow, in the nightstand! No internet, no phone to contact front desk! Awful, Awful, Awful! I checked out after an hour of trying to clean...

It was terrible, so many little cocoroaches crawling, on the bed during night time when we slept. So many flies also inside the house. We tried to kill them and the more you killed, the more came in which we don't know where there were coming from.

Definitely not what I expected. The pictures are deceiving. Hairs in the bed and pillows. A punch hole in the bathroom door. Outside looked like is was abandoned. Very sketchy place. Definitely not a place for kids. I suspect people live there full time

Floor was filthy. We were there 6 days and did not receive fresh towels or housekeeping the entire time. Took 3 days and a can of air freshener to get the weed smell down to a tolerable level. This and rooms all around us were non-smoking. I’ve traveled for 30+ years and this room ranks at or close to the bottom.

Absolutely disgusting. The floor was slimy, I used one of their towels to wipe up part of the floor. It was filthy black! Two fixtures on the wall were barely hanging on, the bed was very old and sunken in, cigarette burns all over the very old bathtub, and there were a lot of suspect vehicles in the parking lot with one person sleeping in a car. Pretty certain very shady business going down in another car with a person walking back-and-forth to different rooms. I had originally wanted to stay here because my son had a baseball tournament in the area but as soon as I looked at this room, I turned around and packed up and left. Absolutely disgusting and unsafe feeling do not stay here, unless this is your kind of place…then good luck to you.

It was dirty and nasty. The chair was nasty and dirty the table was chipped with part of the wood tearing off the table. Tv had one leg. Bathroom was dirty with hair everywhere. Did not sleep stayed until i could talk to someone about my room and stay. And i think i should have been reimbursed all my money

The place has seen better days. Things just seemed old. It was clean and OK for one night. The hair dryer didn't work. One floor lamp didn't work. The freezer door in the mini fridge fell off when I opened it. Too bad they don't have breakfast anymore.

Property was under major renovation but work was of poor quality. Initial room assigned had faulty deadbolt on front door which would not secure. Front desk clerk promptly found another room but a newly furnished room should not have these issues.

Kind of a ramshackle place. No bedside tables or lamps, broken furniture, wobbly desk missing drawer and looked like someone took a dump on the only chair. Bathroom very clean but only 2 tiny towels and 1,000 watt bulb. The images shown look nothing like my room. It was utterly pitiful.

I made a reservation about a month ago..I checked in online about 4pm on the day on my stay and received a confirmation number. Later the evening I arrived at the hotel and was told, by 2 teenagers behind the desk, they had no available rooms. I tried explaining that I had a confirmation, but nothing I said phased them. They didn’t offer any solution. They couldn’t have cared less….

0/10, negative would be suffice. Immediately upon arrival I was asked to come back & check in 30 minutes after the check in time of 4:00 p.m. The front desk claims it is undergoing renovation. However, that is certainly not mentioned on Expedia. The floors were not finished, there was dust and exposed walls throughout every hallway. I immediately asked for a refund, and was denied due to policy. It appears that they know guests will book and upon arrival request a refund, to which they will deny and you’re stuck with either sleeping in an unfinished room or losing out on money. Still awaiting from an Expedia Supervisor to contact me regarding the matter. My advice; do NOT book with this hotel. The place is a mess, and if you have small children a complete hazard. And after expressing my concerns to the front desk, they were very argumentative and just blatantly rude. Do yourselves a favor, look at this place & nothing more. Don’t even consider booking.

These people should be put out of business. They canceled a pre checked in booking for 2 rooms. I called the day before check in and the morning of to insure a ground floor room. Apparently due to special events all hotels in the area were booked solid. They realized they could get double or try their rate so the gave away reserved rooms with no remorse to charge more. Totally unethical crooks…do not patronize!!

At first glance the place looks abandoned. Traveled 12hrs so i got out because i already made the reservation and no vacancies near by. Lady at the front desk was pleasant. Driving to our room was like driving through the remnants of a hurricane. People were walking around the facility not sure if they actually were guests but just seemed sketchy. Small roaches running across the floors and walls. I counted like 10. Housekeeping and Custodial Staff were very helpful getting us towels since the ones in our room had stains not sure of what. Slept, showered, and left as quick as we could. I want my money back. :/

At first glance the place looks abandoned. Traveled 12hrs so i got out because i already made the reservation and no vacancies near by. Lady at the front desk was pleasant. Driving to our room was like driving through the remnants of a hurricane. People were walking around the facility not sure if they actually were guests but just seemed sketchy. I understood why there was a no refund policy for this hotel. It is definitely not the hotel they show online... 3/4 of the rooms are under construction and the ones that are available are disgusting and my room wreaked of Marijuana. A guy that wanted to befriend me in the loby (a homeless resident at the hotel) asked me for money as I was leaving the hotel loby. I was traveling alone so I felt compelled to give him some money because the last thing I wanted was to come back to my room to a pissed off neighbor (his room was under mine). Not a comfortable situation at all. I was looking forward to a hot shower and a comfortable evening. Now Im nervous and stuck here because of false advertising for this hotel.... I paid $111... do yourself a big favor and avoid this hotel.

Kinda rough, but they are remodeling. Good neighborhood. Close to food, Walmart. Bout 30 minutes from OC. We just needed a place to sleep & shower, this was great price for that. Those who don't want to spend alot of money on a room, this is it. Workers were polite and helpful 🙂

Absolutely disgusting. The floor was slimy, I used one of their towels to wipe up part of the floor. It was filthy black! Two fixtures on the wall were barely hanging on, the bed was very old and sunken in, cigarette burns all over the very old bathtub, and there were a lot of suspect vehicles in the parking lot with one person sleeping in a car. Pretty certain very shady business going down in another car with a person walking back-and-forth to different rooms. I had originally wanted to stay here because my son had a baseball tournament in the area but as soon as I looked at this room, I turned around and packed up and left. Absolutely disgusting and unsafe feeling do not stay here, unless this is your kind of place…then good luck to you.

The property did not match the pictures that were shown on the website, I had bullet holes on my window and side of the wall, and when asked for a refund they told me to call the next day because they weren’t handling that at the moment due to someone not being there.

The place has seen better days. Things just seemed old. It was clean and OK for one night. The hair dryer didn't work. One floor lamp didn't work. The freezer door in the mini fridge fell off when I opened it. Too bad they don't have breakfast anymore.

The property that I booked online did not look nothing like what it was when we got to the property. Even the name of the science signage was not properly displayed, and the place was under construction, and they had one building completely under construction with lighting and the building that they were running out had no safe lighting nor did they have Non-working ice machines and v ending. Totally false advertisement, and there was no area of breakfast Continental of any sort therefore I think this should be taken and removed from your website until it is fully up and running and looks like what was presented when booking

No clean towels, no extra sheets etc because they weren't clean. Abandoned looking vehicles parked on property. People outside and on upper balconies smoking Marijuana which made me sick to smell.

Trash everywhere. Empty beer cans and bags of trash under the stairs. Air conditioner was super loud. The door wouldn’t close all the way unless I slammed it shut and there was no safety lock. It was missing. The curtains were all ripped and barely hung making closing them a chore. Very loud at 2 am with all the Hispanic workers yelling and parting in the grass behind the property and walking up and down the balcony.

The room was horrible. We switched to a different room we split the first night and wake up to take shower to no hot water. We called the front desk and their option was to switch rooms again. We get to the other room it wasn’t bad. The first room was straight out of a 70s horror show. The second room was unfinished with no hot water. They are working to update the building but why book a room that’s not finished. The entire trip felt like hopping rooms. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel. People actually live here to.. as it looks.
