This property was in a prime spot in Florence. It was in the mix of other Hotel. It was around plenty of places to eat and it was in a great location. The property was kept clean and the staff was polite and courteous. Breakfast was also included with your stay. The only thing that wasn't good was the Pool was not open.

We went to the pool after check-in. There were multiple families that drove into the parking lot - dropped off their kids to go swimming like it was a community pool. The "adults" did not stay but returned later. The children age range was about 4 - 11. I feel sure these families were not guests of the hotel. (I do not give permission to use my name with this response)

I would have given a higher rating except for one thing. I stay at this hotel about 6 times a year. And like every time for the last couple of years, there were no poop bags in the dog walk area of a "pet friendly" hotel. There just is no excuse for that.

I was very happy with most aspects of my stay. Was very disappointed with not being able to go swimming though. It was a very hot weekend and was looking forward to relaxing by the pool

My ratings would have been higher, but I encountered two people who needed luggage trolleys. Neither of them was able to find one. They were quite clever though. One borrowed a wagon; the other used a TV cart with wheels from the boardroom. I was not one who needed, a luggage trolley, but I felt sorry for those needed one and could not find it.

This property was very convenient and situated right in the heart of other Hotels and lots of places to eat. It was kept clean and breakfast was included. The only thing that was disappointing was the pool wasn’t available for the amount of days I stayed.

Only problem was inability to find a luggage cart and a mechanic went and got his pushcart ant went to the parking lot to get my luggage … above and beyond his duties !!!! No carts around again in morning had to drag cooler and make several trips … Ned to have a system of cart return !!

This was our first time staying at La Quinta and it will be the last. Check in was fast and easy and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. HOWEVER our room smelled like cigarettes mixed with perfume, the bathroom and shower had hair scattered around, the floor was sticky, AND the quilt had a huge brownish stain on the inside. I reported this to the front desk and I was given new sheets but that completely ruined it for us.

Floor was filthy and bathroom was gross. Toilet was not cleaned and neither was counter and sink. There was bugs on the floor. Not happy. I used a Clorox wipe to wipe the floor and one pass, and it was black. Cleaning staff needs to be better because that’s filthy.

Beds had horrible,loud metal squeaking noises every time you sat down, laid on them turned over or moved while in the beds. It was a sleepless night to say the least. Floor of room was dirty and made a new pair of white socks my husband was wearing turn black. Very disappointed, we usually get a decent room at this hotel chain .

The only reason I gave a 2 stars is that the breakfast area was very clean, well attended to and decently stocked. Otherwise, as you enter the front doors, you can see the windows are dirty, the elevator and walls are beaten, the hallway carpets not well vacuumed. We entered our room 233 the dirtiest floor I've ever seen in a hotel, similar to a bad gas station facility. Microwave dirty and rusted and chewed up, floors in the rest of the room sticky. The whole place is run down and they charge top dollar for this kind of hotel, 260$. Unacceptable, I can't imagine why they have that rating at Expedia. We told front desk about our experience. Positive: bed comfortable, linen clean, breakfast room super clean and well attended.

We booked online on our way to Florida and when we arrived all was well I was given a room that had someone already in it. I told the front desk staff and was yet again given a room with someone in it. We finally got a room with nobody in it but noticed the floor was unclean and beds had dirty sheets. Our room was in pretty rough shape. Beds were not comfortable and our bathtub leaked all over. This is not in the best neighbor hood as they have park at your own risk we are not responsible for theft in their parking lots. Which I don’t understand the park at your own risk because that’s the parking lot for the hotel I’m not sure where else you are suppose to park. Breakfast had very limited options

We arrived late, at midnight and the gentleman checking people in seemed unsure on how to do his job or where things were at. 15 minutes later after getting checked in we walked to our room. We opened the door and you could smell the mildew and feel the humidity in the room. The floor and the beds felt wet. The bathroom and around the beds were not cleaned very well. I will not stay at this hotel again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else staying. Hopefully it was just our room and not everyone else’s. We are glad to be home now.

It worked in the morning when we woke up but we had to take cold showers. Also, the room had a bad odor/smell and there were hairs on several of the towels, along with the bathroom & shower. The cleaning department needs a serious revamp in my opinion. Every room should be clean thoroughly, no matter what “star” hotel you are

Seemed good at first but then no cleaning happened over 5 days except specific requests we made, our cards stopped working twice, and staff often seemed short like nobody being at the front for over 10 minutes and calls going unanswered. The breakfasts were great though.

The front desk staff was wonderful. They reached out to us when they notciced one of our party booked the reservation in the wrong month. Very accommodating. Finished our stay with a great breakfast which was well stocked with fresh fixings and staffed with a great gal keeping it looking great.

The hotel is on a busy road and I worried it would be noisy during the night, but it quieted down and was fine. It's conveniently located right off I-95 and near a number of restaurants and other services.

We were shocked that a motorcycle group- at least 25, had some sort of a meeting there complete with loud motorcycles cruising thru the parking lot between 12:40 thru 3:00AM. Horrible sleepless night. I know an adjacent hotel plus an apartment building behind had to hear the roaring engines and loud music. What was the point and why didn’t management do something or call the police. Finally fell asleep around 4:00AM only to be awakened by barking dog at 6:30AM. No apologies from front office who was somewhat supportive of the group saying no problem. Well I had a problem and won’t be back. Worst hotel stay ever

When we went to bed, we could not sleep because there was activity in the parking lot, then included motorcycles, racing, and loud music playing. When we approach the front desk, they said this happens occasionally. No one warned us about it when we checked in.

Fan in the bathroom would be great - carpeting on floor would also be nice. Shower was a little strange regarding ability to regulate pressure and temperature. Great breakfast!!

This was a nice surprise. The hotel was clean. The shower pressure was great. We enjoyed their breakfast bar. Their coffee had options for those that like to drink more than black coffee. The staff was very helpful. Side note. They actually offered egg white omelets. I like that they had more options than just pastries and pancakes. The food was delicious so we didn’t need to catch breakfast out before getting back on the road for our travels.

The place is a dump. Wait at the desk for someone to show up and give you your key. The rooms smell weird. The tub was dirty and the microwave was sticky inside. The free breakfast was gross. Been forever since I’ve done one of these chain motels with free breakfast. They do the waffle badder and cereal, some coffee. But the eggs smell bad, the water tasted bitter (probably puts the same jug back in the fridge after every morning.) The people having breakfast looked like road crew people who were put up there. On first glance , clean room. Bathroom door takes the whole room and is not easy to get in and out, the lighting was dim in the bath and no fan . We had a lightbulb out in the bedside lamp and dirty around the ac unit. The alarm in the room alarm kept going off at 6am even though I turned it off. AND the pool was nasty unclear and hazy with garbage and a band aide on it and someone had a dog in the pool as well. Breakfast was 6/10. Checkin and out were easy . I asked to be compensated due to us wanting to use the pool, one of the reasons we chooses it. But have not heard back.

Breakfast was sub-par. Food was cold. Hotel is not well maintained. Cleaning of common areas is certainly not a priority. Staff seems very indifferent to the issues.

Hotel was very poorly maintained. Hallways looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Found dog hairs on sheets in bed. Breakfast was cold (eggs and gravy). There was no spray to keep the waffles from sticking. Coffee was warm, but not hot. Staff seemed indifferent about anything that was mentioned. Definitely would not stay here again.
