This property accommodates large groups quite well. We enjoyed the hot tub & outdoor areas in particular. A few concerns ; The property manager neglected to alert us to the fact that groundskeepers would be there to service the hot tub & move garbage cans out for collection (after ten pm). The five year old in our family alerted us to a “stranger” being in the backyard. These were both huge security and communication lapses. I think you should have enough linens and towels to turn over the house without inconveniencing your guests.

Check in was simple. House was clean. Space was adequate. Hot tub was relaxing. Manager was responsive. Location was great. Would stay here again. Would be nice to have an electric griddle in the kitchen. Otherwise we had everything we needed for a wonderful time in SC.

Very clean and well maintained property, even while occupying the location. A strong wind occurred overnight and we left the spa cover off. The next morning we discovered a lot of debris fell into it and was not in any condition to be used. However, we left to grab lunch, and when we checked the spa again, it was all clear and cleaned up! Was very happy to once again use the spa. A++

This residence is in a great location. Walking distance from the ocean. An easy bike ride to Capitola. Great back yard. Though we only had a family of four the house has the capacity to easy hold a lot more. The only advice I have for the owner is there are some easy fixes to make the house appearance better. (Fix small holes in doors, and the toilet paper holder in both bathrooms.). But overall a great experience.

My family and some friends were traveling from up north to Santa Cruz for the weekend as we were going to run a 5K for Mother’s Day. When we got to the house, not only did it meet the expectations but actually it exceeded them as the home is very spacious and had plenty of additional bedding and cushions for our large families. we were only blocks away from the beach and to our surprise there was surfboards and wetsuits and bikes and sand toys and everything you could possibly need in the garage and we utilize that to the fullest and went surfing and had the time of our life. The property was clean and had wonderful accommodations for towels and games, etc. We can’t wait to go back and we will definitely be staying here again! Thank you for the awesome two night stay!

The house was great for what we wanted. We wanted a beach friendly house that would accommodate a getaway for ourselves, our grown kids and grandchildren with family friendly amenities. The house did not dissappoint. Plenty of room, lots of games, a great backyard - walking distance to Pleasure Point and a playground around the corner that our grandkids loved. Quiet neighborhood. Overall the house was exactly as described and we had no issues during our stay.

Great for families with young kids. Hot tub and dog friendly was a plus!

Pictures do not do this house justice. I have stayed in many vrbo/airb&b's and this was hands down my FAVORITE! Not only close to the beach but to shopping and restaurants also. This house has EVERYTHING & feels like home! Truly a hidden secret. Me, my kids & grandkids had plenty of space. The rooms are big & spacious. We had 4 adults, 2 kids & 1 toddler & 1 infant (who stayed at the house) plus my sister who lives in Santa Cruz plus her kids & grandkids visited & that was 5 more adults and 2 more toddlers and we had room to cook & eat & hang out. The backyard is huge and the game room & spa was awesome also. I can not say enough AMAZING things about this house and look forward to staying here again. One one last thing is communication with the host was wonderful! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as i did and I'm looking forward to more memories in this house. 💗

We rented this property for a family getaway. While the location was lovely, and the setup of the home worked well for our family, we were very disappointed by multiple things: on day 1 the hot tub was not usable due large clumps of hair and dirt (someone did come and clean the hot tub on our second day). While running the dishwasher soon after checkin, it broke and filled the house with a burnt plastic smell, and set off the fire alarms. After removing the melted piece of plastic that had broken off, we found a nearly identical piece near the trash in the yard, which leads me to believe the host was aware that the dishwasher was broken and chose not to fix it. We had to evacuate the house for a few hours due to the smell of burned plastic to allow it to air out. The host did not respond to a message after this happened, so we had to hand wash everything for the rest of the trip. On day 3 when hand washing everything, the plumbing and disposal under the kitchen sink literally fell onto the floor of the under sink cabintet so that the kitchen sink became unusable. While not as horrendous as the dishwasher and sink, it is also worth mention that we did need to clean the kitchen before use on checkin as the cabinets and countertops were sticky. We had to leave early as we needed use of the sink for our baby/ washing bottles, etc. We wrote to the host about this as well and still have not received a response. These were issues that required an immediate remedy and I think we deserve a refund as this is not what we agreed to and paid for. It's very unfortunate because with a little more attention and care this could be a lovely vacation spot, but not if the owner isn't willing to to be responsive and keep the home in proper repairs.

Nice area, spacious, very well stocked with lots of items. Not as clean as I hoped. Probably because of pets. But overall enjoy the place. No doggie door cover in the bedroom by the laundry room very cold and drafty. Main Heater was not lit up when we got there, needed to work on getting the spark going a few times. Loved the hot tub and the fire pit.

Capitola Village is walkable, However it is a long walk. There is a beach walk nearby and beautiful views. The neighborhood is great. Overall the house is terrific. I dinged one star due to cleanliness.

This house was clean, well equipped, and in a great location! We walked to 41st to shop and eat. There are a lot of fun things to see and do within walking distance. I highly recommend this vacation rental!

All appliances and tv's were in working order, beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well outfitted, the wall heater kept us warm. The owner quickly responded to our requests. He even suggested places to visits on our rain drenched days. The kids enjoyed the playhouse in the backyard. The garage had all kinds of beach apparatus . Lovely big back yard with great ping pong table and outdoor fire pit. We would definitely come back again.

Lots of room to relax or hang out in groups. Great location, near beach, dog park and great local shops, all within walking distance. Bedrooms have backyard access which helped early risers and late night relaxing by the fire. Heated outdoor shower was great when returning from the beach. Landlord very responsive. Would stay again.

My family of 7 and 2 dogs had the opportunity to stay at this perfect home. The listing says it all, from the spacious well appointed home with a large fenced yard for the dogs,and above all location location location. Quick walk to the beach,park right around the corner,all kinds of shopping as close as a mile away everything we needed.Oh yes cant forget about the hottub too.I did give a slightly lower grade for communication as I never received the usual welcome letter explaining the property,address,how to use things,owners info in case needed, thay type of info which was a bit concerning. However once we got there there was a very complete book left on the table with much of the info we needed.All in all it was a great stay and we would definitely go back again.

This is a great house in the Pleasure Point area. Everything was just as listed and we could have spent several days just in the backyard and walking down the street to the ocean. As it was, this was also a good location for us to use as a home base while we visited the San Jose area, Monterey area, Felton, and the more touristy side of Santa Cruz while having a quieter feel like home. Our 3 generations of visitors and dogs really enjoyed it. The street is very quiet in general and I slept better there than at home, wish is saying something. The neighborhood feels very safe and everyone I met in the area treated me like a local, which I appreciate when I travel. One tip for future visitors: unlike a lot of rentals I've used, there were no condiments in the refrigerator and very few spices so make sure to bring your own.

Close to the beach with an awesome backyard for the kids to run around. There was a couple of nice restaurants about a 10 minute walk and the beach was also just 10 minutes away.
