The pool was sad and empty. Parking was a bit of a nightmare and not well lit.

The pool was not open . No Hot tub .

Room could be improve, it’s dated. The lobby is small and the parking situation is not secured and limited. While there cars were broken into. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

For the money it wasn’t bad. There was an outdoor pool but it had no water. It seems like they are in the middle of a remodel as there was a lot of construction material around the building and rooms did not smell great. It was a convenient distance from downtown and the highway was right there. Staff was excellent though and there’s a great Irish pub right across the street.

I’ll start with the only positive about this hotel was the staff at the front desk. All of the staff that we had interactions with were very helpful and friendly. This hotel is NOT in a safe area. I would not recommend this hotel nor would I ever stay here again. What was supposed to be a fun weekend away for a concert for us and nearly every other hotel guest I made contact with turned in to a headache. There was a series of car break ins, mine included. 9 cars had a window broken, 5 cars were attempted and had cracked windows, then a truck was actually stolen. My Uber driver questioned me staying at the Holiday Inn across from Waffle House in which I responded, “yes”. He then proceeded to confirm that this was not a safe area and there’s shootings more often than not at the Waffle House across the street. Needless to say, we packed up and left. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to stay closer to Broadway if that’s your thing!

This area isn’t the nicest. The intersection in front of the holiday is littered with trash and people begging for money. 10 people at the hotel including us got out windows busted out. And one women got her car stolen. If you take away these things the hotel was nice. Hot breakfast. Nice staff.

Staff was nice. Rooms clean. Great breakfast buffet. I was disappointed the pool was empty.

The shower had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Shower head needed repair. Toilet seat was loose. Several areas around the hotel needed to be repaired. Elevator was very slow and looked like the frame needed to be repaired the wood around door was loose.

We couldn’t sleep there and ended up leaving 15 minutes after we arrived (at 12:15 am). It was so horrible. Pubic hair in the bathroom floor, other hairs in the bed. The beds were damp with humidity and the room was so moldy/mildewy my sinuses closed up. And, there was bright street lamp light coming through the window that only had a sheer curtain. Unacceptable.

There were cockroaches in the main lobby/dining area. And my room had a very stale smelling to it. The bathrooms were not clean. The paint was peeling off around the tub..

This hotel was very run down and dirty. Our room smelled like wet musty carpet. There was a 2 inch cockroach in the lobby. Also found a cockroach in my room. Stay away from this place. The front desk workers were not very polite as well.

The beds were really comfortable, room was really clean. Breakfast was delicious.

Very old, room smelled like mildew, leaking from air conditioner keeps the carpet wet on that whole side of the room. Stains on the ceiling. Someone tried to come into our room this morning (i had the deadbolt on so they couldn’t come in). Breakfast gross and stale. Coffee was bad.

This place was so deceiving compared to the photos on line prior to booking. Mold, blood on the walls in the bathroom, dirty walls and carpet was full of hair and wet spots. The pool was completely empty and clearly in need of repairs. We left. I’d prefer getting a full refund. The area was very dark and dangerous. It’s false advertisement and the conditions were deplorable.

The bedroom area was very nice. The bathroom, however, left something to be desired. The main issue was the tub faucet. The knob to turn the temperature was loose. We either got burned or frozen. Then, the knob to start the showerhead was too tight, so the water pressure was barely minimum. Front desk staff was wonderful. We didn't have time to eat the breakfast, but the selections looked good.

Okay for one night. Free breakfast is small but standard. No curtains in rooms and the blinds do not block any light, only obscure vision so if you have light sensitivity at night this is not a good choice. Floors were very dirty. (Like socks were black dirty.) The maps say there are vending machines but there are not any and only one working ice machine.

Rom was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Furnishings were dated and the WiFi was SLLLLOWWWWWW

For $120 a night I expected better than this. I have had much better experiences at cheaper hotels. First thing I noticed is everything is very dated and looks like it’s falling apart in my room. The room had clearly been smoked in at some point and you could smell it. There were stains on the sheets leaving me to wonder if they had been changed. The toilet barely flushed and took forever to do so. The bathroom ceiling looked like it was falling in. The area around the hotel doesn’t look very safe and there are homeless people hanging out at the intersection 100 feet away. I was constantly concerned about my vehicle getting broken into. The road outside is insanely noisy and I was constantly hearing sirens and people revving car engines. It literally sounded like someone was racing all night my first night. First night I was there, someone nearly beat my door off the hinges trying to get in the room until I answered the door with a gun in my hand. Turns out the staff had double booked my room and this guy had the same room number as me. Scared the hell out of both of us. Second night, a guy in the next room over was talking on the phone and I could hear everything he was saying like he was in the room with me… for hours. Later that night it was raining and I woke up to the bathtub drain gurgling so loud all night long that I had to wear earplugs and turn the exhaust fan on to drown it out…and could still hear it. Positives: AC worked well, friendly staff, good breakfast.

We were placed in a special access room which wasn’t requested or needed. The toilet seat was so loose as to be unsafe to sit on (reported to the front desk), the lighting in the bathroom is terrible, the tub bottom was extremely slippery (no non-slip material on it, which seems very risky in an access room), the very nice electric blinds had no instructions or even indication that they were electric (it took a while to figure that out), the front desk attendant (Derek) was very pleasant and helpful, otherwise the room was fine. It would be the last room I would put someone in due to the headlights on Spence Ln being highly visible from the bed unless the heavy shade was lowered.

Liked the convenient price. Didn't like it was over sold online. I thought I was getting a King suite as advertised, it ended up being just 2 wide open rooms with unfinished cosmetics throughout. Our room was secluded from the others & isolated in an area that looked unsafe. We slept with a chair to the door each night. There was one sink throughout the rooms. So it was inconvenient to utilize the mini fridge & microwave with extra food. The couch was very uncomfortable and wasn't adult size, more like tiny house furniture. The TVs were like 30s" in both the livingroom and bedroom. So we couldn't utilize the space for the kitchenette and livingroom combo. Most of the time when people get hotel rooms it's considered to be our home away from home. So the expectations aren't to spend more time going broke running around-DAILY, it's to relax & enjoy the living space & hotel. The hotel sits on a really steep hill & the parking lot is a nightmare, it's so small. There isn't much food in distance to this hotel & it's quite close to the projects. The staff was friendly but disconnected in the face to face or phone interactions. This hotel seems to be getting it together, but for my experience I give them a 3 in all areas because I see the potential & growth. I do understand & appreciate the convenience of price

The air condition/heating unit was very loud. They need to fix the fan. It was hard to sleep for the noise. Breakfast and personnel were excellent.

Location was near the interstate but noise.

The faucet in the bathroom was so loose that it banged against the wall, and only a trickle of water came out. I told the front desk clerk, but no one came to fix it. The air conditioner/heater was very noisy, the water from the shower was initially grey, and the coffee supplies were not restocked. On the plus side, the rooms were clean and spacious, the location of the hotel was perfect for my needs, and the staff was friendly.

The sink had a missing pipe, advise the front desk who stated there was thing they could do! Called GM 3 different times to assist with bill since we had to brush our teeth in the bathtub, per GM Amy Reynolds, they cannot give any credit! Horrible service!

Very convenient to the interstate. Room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast wasn’t elaborate but it was good. The staff is top notch. Front desk (Keela) was very helpful when we had some trouble with the car, as was Tim in Maintenance. Alba in Housekeeping was friendly and efficient. The manager, Kim, should be proud of her staff.

Didn’t like it at all I have stayed at other holiday inn express and nothing compared to this one when I checked in staff had no idea what she was doing. I had a reservation and gave my room away to some other guest. I pay for a two double bed and I end up getting one King bedroom. And we are a family of 4 . Won’t be staying here again .

Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially LeAnn! Very convenient location near Trevecca where work conference was held, and across the street from a nice family friendly pub with great food and beer. Very nice stay!

If you need a place to bring a prostitute or do drugs, this is the hotel for you. Upon entering the lobby, we knew the photos from the booking site were all faked. Or they were taken before they even opened to the public. The lobby had floors that you would have thought were mopped with super glue and the smell of marijuana was so pungent. You would have thought the staff were in a cheech and Chong movie. At this point it was 1130 at night. We had no other place to go, so we were going to try and make the best of it. Unfortunately, upon entering our hotel room, the smell of stale, cigarettes and black mold and damp slap you in the face. The blinds were torn and broken. The bathroom door did not shut because of the tile on the floor being uneven and installed by Ray Charles. There was not a drip of hot water. The air conditioner never shut off and was like a missing fan because water kept coming out. I am sure that is where the black mold was coming from. I dropped something on the floor went to pick it up. And there were bugs and ants all in the carpet. At this point it was 3:45 in the morning and I went down to the hotel lobby to tell them we were leaving as soon as we could and I was greeted with an empty hotel. The front desk lady was in her car with her boyfriend or her husband sleeping maybe. I had to call the front desk to get her to come in. Then she did nothing. This is where people who want to do drugs and cheat on their spouses go.

The staff was absolutely accomodating. I arrived at 10 am and the person that greeted me allowed me to check-in, no questions asked. That really made my day. Also very friendly "Have a nice day" and "Welcome back" as you arrived and left the hotel.

Close to downtown and affordable.

Property was located on a hill. Difficult to get in/out of hotel entrance. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was good.

It's a good hotel for a decent price, very close to downtown without being directly in it. Area around it feels...a little shady, but not dangerous. Not the hotel's fault, tho.

The location of the Hotel was convenient to access interstates but the area is pretty rundown. The hotel parking lot entrance is on a slope. Upon entering the property, you can smell the damp air. The room was very tiny and dark. The unit had 1 tiny trash can. The air in the room was humid and smelled like old clothes. The TV in the room was probably something 36”-42” inch screen. The bathroom vanity is so awkward looking, not even a cabinet, as if some novice carpenter built it. Towels are very rough and uncomfortable. Overall I did not expect anything like this from a Holiday Inn property.

We really liked the staff. They were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel was also very clean, however updating was needed and the pool was closed. Neighborhood surrounding not that nice, but very convenient to a conference I was attending and good restaurants. The price was also good for the Nashville area.

When we first got there we got the feeling it wasn’t the safest. Broken glass all in parking lot where cars got broken into. Waffle House across the street was shot up and delivery only. Bathroom tub faucet was coming out of the wall. Bathroom sink faucet was spraying water everywhere. Bleach stains all over the carpet throughout the hotel.

We had to wait to check in because they were shampooing the carpet. Then when we went into the room the floor was wet & slippery. Also the carpet never dried while we were there we had to wear slippers ever time we went onto the floor! There was no comfortable chair in the room. Breakfast was terrible pancake machine broken! We are very unhappy with Holiday Inn Express and will no longer be staying at your hotels!!

Here for a long weekend with friends. The hotel was close to downtown but far enough away to get out of the traffic and crowds. Breakfast was great and a nice way to start every day.

Breakfast bar was wonderful! The common area bathroom lacked supplies. The floor of our room was unclean. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. My card was charged by the hotel for each night and for the total of the stay separately from the pay through hotels.com. The manager informed me that this will fall away after 3-5 days, but this was still a stressful event that I had never experienced before when using hotels.com.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was clean, comfortable, well-maintained & had excellent sound-proofing considering it was right off I-40. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of items, so it was the perfect overnight stay.

Great stay! Loved it all. Breakfast was good, it was close to the fun, and the employees were great!
