Hampton Inn & Suites Austin-Airport

It was fine

We appreciated the airport shuttle which we signed up for upon our arrival. We found that we had to book a reservation with another company to leave our car in the Hampton lot during our flight. The price was $11.50 per day but there were a lot of fees and taxes on top of that. Next time I might just drive the short distance to Economy Parking and park there. The room was nice and clean and the bed was good. I was surprised to find that there was no trash can in the bathroom and the knob to turn on the shower was very difficult to pull up. I think it might be time for an update of the window coverings as there were a little too short to really block out the very bright parking lot lights. The breakfast was satisfactory but I didn't think the choices were as extensive as other Hamptons I have stayed at. Maybe it was just that it was a Saturday. Overall it was a good convenient stay.

After staying in he Hampton Suites in Bastrop just last week and having a GREAT experience we were eager to try the Hampton Suites in Austin while there on business, Check in was smooth BUT the loud hammer drill noise for the ongoing construction was very unpleasant. They did stop by 6pm and didn't start up until 10 am the next day so it didn't affect sleep but it might have been good to have a warning. The King Suite was clean and spacious altho the FAN in the bathroom rattled and was very noisy and the vanity light was not working, The beautiful fresh strawberries at the lovely breakfast buffet made up for some of the negatives!!
