I’ve stayed at the Austin Southpark Hotel more times than I can count, and it’s always been a five-star experience. Back when it was the Omni, I practically lived here, and after well over 100 stays, it’s still my favorite hotel in Austin. The location is perfect. It’s right at Ben White and Highway 71, so you’re close to everything, but it still feels tucked away from all the chaos. It’s incredibly convenient no matter why you’re in town. The pool is hands down one of the best in Austin. I do miss the old jacuzzi, but everything else more than makes up for it. The gym is fantastic, the sauna is a huge bonus, and the restaurant has always been great whenever it’s open. The beds are comfortable, the staff has consistently treated me well, and I’ve always felt at home here. I’m honestly a little sad to hear they’re remodeling. I’ve always loved the hotel’s classic Victorian-style charm. I understand that it needs some updating, but I hope they keep some of the character that has made this place so special over the years. No matter what, this will always be my first choice whenever I’m in Austin. I can’t recommend it enough. I guess the Hilton bought it out I hope they don’t commercialize it too much and I do love also that it’s always been so affordable to stay at this hotel. I am a little worried that it becoming a Hilton. It’s gonna be super overpriced.

Very dog friendly is a plus. Great location to walk them around safely. I enjoyed the gym, felt safe with the windows. Will return on next visit.
