Ice machine produced no ice (1st floor) and towel racks were falling off the wall. Overall the hotel is fine but it was surprising to find these minor issues. Overall, the hotel feels a bit dated.

Booked two rooms for this stay. One was clean but had some damage (toilet paper holder falling out of the wall). The other was dirty with a black ring in the toilet. The shower also did not drain well. The rooms feel like they have been updated, but not renovated (i.e. - no improvements to plumbing, systems, etc.) The front desk staff was helpful and doing their best, but they are dealing with a property that Marriott should really think about retiring.

My were in Austin fur my husbands surgery .. our room was exceptional , the staff was extremely professional & caring .. we were in Austin on Thursday, Friday & Saturday with extra hour for checkout .. Alexis , was at the front desk while checking in & another day as well .. my husband after surgery could not lift any more than 15-20 Lbs .. wanted to ask for assistance from the staff … she said I will do get your luggage in your truck .. what a precious & strong girl .. she said she played sports on high school & College .. she wasn’t any taller than 5’5” “ what a strong women. Also Our lamp went out in our bedroom .. they sent Gabor , Maintenance.. he was so nice and attentive .. he would not accept a tip from my husband. All in all it was a wonderful trip .. Surgery went well .. We will be returning back to Austin and continue to stay Double Tree by Hilton . Thank You PL
